Chapter 2 – The Eclipse and the Curse

The sky was shrouded in heavy clouds, and above them, a blood-red moon began to eclipse.

> "They feared the unknown. But what they truly feared… was the reflection of their sins in a boy born under the moon."

In a Roman-Japanese village at the edge of ancient lands, chaos stirred like fire in dry leaves. Villagers stormed toward the moonlit shrine, torches in hand. A woman — serene, bound — was forced to her knees. Her silver crescent moon tattoo gleamed faintly under the light.

"She cursed our crops!" one villager shouted.

"She's a priestess of the night!" another screamed.

The village priest stepped forward, robes swaying in the wind.

> "Her son will become a curse worse than death."

Amid the crowd, a small voice cried out.

> "SHE NEVER HURT ANYONE!! LET HER GO!"

It was Lucius — only six — trembling, screaming, but no one heard him. His cries were lost in the roaring fire as the shrine began to burn.

And within that fire, something ancient stirred.

Later that night, long after the villagers had returned to their homes, the boy knelt among the ashes alone. His small hands were black with soot, his eyes glassy and dry. Above him, the moon shone pale and distant — silent as always.

> "That night, the moon saw a child lose everything… and the world lose a piece of itself."

Days passed, the village quieter than before. But quiet never lasted long in cursed lands.

A group of Jujutsu Sorcerers arrived — three, powerful and proud. The Zenin Elder, a cold-eyed war veteran; a calm yet cruel Kamo Sorceress; and a young monk from the Gojo clan whose blindfold couldn't hide his curiosity.

The Zenin Elder narrowed his gaze at the boy.

> "So… this is the Moon-Cursed child."

The Kamo Sorceress stepped forward, feeling the energy around the boy pulse like a tide beneath her feet.

> "Lunar-aligned cursed energy. Unnatural. Dangerous."

The Gojo Monk tilted his head.

> "He needs to be studied. Controlled... or destroyed."

Lucius was chained with cursed bindings. His small form struggled as glowing purple energy crackled around him.

> "I didn't choose this!" he shouted. "I didn't want any of this!"

But no one listened.

In the deep underground of an ancient temple, Lucius was placed on a cold stone slab, surrounded by glowing sigils. The carvings thrummed with power as they pierced his body with cursed seals. His blood was drained into ceremonial bowls, his breathing ragged.

The Kamo Sorceress observed dispassionately.

> "His body adapts faster than any subject we've seen."

The Zenin Elder sneered.

> "Then dissect him… while he still breathes."

Outside, the red eclipse reached its midpoint. And something… changed.

Lucius whimpered, barely conscious.

> "Mother… make it stop… please…"

A voice — not his mother's — stirred inside him. Dark, powerful, ancient.

> "You've cried enough. Let them feel what they gave you."

The sigils glowed violently. The chains shattered. Power surged.

The Gojo Monk rushed into the chamber.

> "He's breaking the seal!"

Lucius's body twisted. Cursed energy erupted around him like a dragon taking form. His scream echoed like thunder. His second face — monstrous, half-formed — emerged from his cheek. His eyes glowed red. The air warped.

> "You killed my mother…"

"Now face what she left behind."

The temple shook. The walls cracked. One sorcerer screamed before being crushed by falling stones.

> "RETREAT!" the Zenin Elder shouted. "THE CHILD'S TURNED INTO A CURSE!"

Lucius rose above the ground. Blood trickled down his face. His body was covered in cursed scars, glowing faintly.

> "You called me a demon..."

"Now I'll become the one they deserve."

Outside, fire consumed the temple. Villagers fled. The red eclipse darkened the world.

> "The moon did not curse Ryomen Sukuna... it simply showed him who he truly was."

In the final moments, Sukuna stood among the flames — half his face human, half transformed, as if caught between two worlds. His gaze turned to the blood moon.

> "I'm sorry, Mother…"

"I wasn't strong enough… to stay human."
