When I was young I had this habit of sneaking out to get ice cream, one day my parent weren't around, this time I was not sneaking I informed the bodyguard where I was going and my twin brother Andrea also wanted to follow us, the bodyguard allowed us, we got our ice cream but as we were returning I realised he forgot his toy at the vendor where we bought ice cream, as the oldest I said I was going to get it, and I asked him to wait where he was since the bodyguard was not so far from where we were, but when I returned I only met the bodyguard there shaking and halfway dead, bleeding it was like he was hit in the head, but what caught my eye was Andrea was no longer there, not long after my parent arrived they hugged me, then asked the driver to take me home, I went home crying, day after day there was no news about Andrea, I knew it was my fault that day but my parents never blamed me, soon there was a news that he was kidnapped by human traffickers, when we hot to the abandon warehouse, it was to late the whole place was on fire, no one survived the fire I cried when I found a familiar necklace, it was his, ever since the incident my parents sent my to Switzerland to stay with my uncle and aunt and Babe, they consoled me, but I had trauma any time I see uncompleted building and fire, but as I grew up, 3 years ago, I started having the feeling that he was alive, somewhere so I had to investigate the case then I found out the day of the accident he was being taken to another base but the ship capsized but he was found by some family who treated him like some cash tool.
PRESENT DAY
As I entered the restaurant I quickly cited a familiar face and the other with a mask, I walked up to them, I was also wearing a mask due to some personal reasons, I sat unsure of what to say, we just stared at each other for a while
"Mr. John meet James and James this is the John I talked to you about" the investigator said introducing both of us
"Thank you so much, I really appreciate it" I said
"And he does not remember some things" he added
"Thank, you can leave us here" I said
"Okay I'll get going now" he said as he walked out
"How are you doing" I managed to say
"Fine thank you" he said
"I'm really sorry for everything you had to go through" I said as I couldn't stop crying
"I forgot to introduce myself properly" I laughed at my foolishness
"I'm John Davis also called Andrew 18 years" I said
"I'm James" he said
" You can remove your mask, I can't believe this is real" I stammered as he reached for his mask
"Can I hug you, I know you might not remember me" I smiled sadly
"Sure" he replied as I stood up from my seat and walked towards him, giving him a tight hug
"I really missed you" I said
"Me too" he said and I was taken aback
"You are going home with me" I said not commanding but pleading
"Can I please bring my llittle one along" he said
"Wait you have a child" I asked frantically surprised
"No just like a sister" he explained how they knew each other
"Sure you can bring her along, let's go and get her" I said as we stood up and head towards my car and drove to this dirty loud place as he got down some guys approached him saying he was owing them money but he kept pleading saying he would pay them later on
"How much is he owing you" I asked they stared at each other for a while
"$100,000" they said I stared at them for a while it was obvious they were lying but still, I gave them $500,000,
"Go and get the little one, I'll love to talk with this guys" I said but he felt reluctant to leave but I assured him, I talked to them saying the money I gave them was to start something new, I gave them my card telling them to call me when they are ready, after a while James was back with a little girl, she felt familiar to me, she reminds me of someone but I pushed it away,
"Hey, little one" I said, we talked for a while, I felt familiar with her but it was nothing
"We are going to our house now" I said but she asked some questions but I explained it to her, soon we reached home, babe and her friends were still there
"Hey, where were you, your friends told me you left school early" she asked as she patted my head
"Nothing" I said
"But I have a surprise for you, please hold her or she might fall" I said
"Surprise!!!" she asked shocked
"Yeah, please hold her" I said again
"You can come in" I said as I turned to the door as James walked in, as expected Babe fainted, not just her but her friends as well, let's say they were really shocked
"Andrew what wr...." she stopped in her track like she had seen a ghost
"Aunt Mercy" I said as I walked up to her but she stepped back
"That's James" I said she gave me that are you sure look
"James is that really you" she said as she walked towards him, slow like she wasn't sure he was real, she touched him, she even checked his hand
"It's really you" she hugged him after seeing the family birth mark on his right arm while mind was on my left that was what they would use to recognize us, are your parent aware of this, she asked
"No, it's gonna a surprise" I said
"And she is our sister" I said indicating pointing to the little girl, after a while Babe woke up first saying she had a dream, the rest woke up as well, I already lead James and Nora to their rooms, I explained to Babe and her friends,
"So you are saying, James is alive and in this house" she asked again
"Yes" I said
"Can I see him" she asked again
"James" I called him, he walked downstairs already changed into some shirt that I gave him, I guess Nora was already asleep, Babe stared at the guy in front of her
"James" she said as she ran towards him they hugged for a while, we talked James told us some things, I must say it was going smoothly, he was opening up slowly, even though we were apart for a while we still had similar habits, routine, and I guess it in our blood, we are always scholars, I mean we are excellent in educational aspect, he also told us how he found Nora, he was just like me, I guess we are indeed twins, we had similar face so it was add to differentiate between us except you check our birth marks, and even if I was older with 2-3 minutes, Babe said we should celebrate this as expected Aunt mercy made us a feast, the young girl stared at us for a while before eating but something about her caught my attention, she had almost the same look Sophia has when she is confused, they look similar but still I was like she couldn't possibly be related to Sophia because according to James he said she list her parents in a car accident and she does not have any relatives, we ate and almost drank when I reminded Babe I was going to school tomorrow and you can enrol him to the school tomorrow, I'll be back early tomorrow so I can join them.
