Scene: The Mountain Path
Ahmed set off on the motorcycle, his eyes never wavering from the phone displaying the coordinates. The road was grueling at first—uneven terrain, scattered rocks of all sizes, and narrow passages winding through the hills. Ahmed rode with extreme caution... gripping the handlebars firmly... slowing down for pits... and balancing the bike with difficulty around sharp bends. The wind lashed against his face, dust spiraled behind him, and the engine's roar rose and fell with every ascent and descent.
Despite the treacherous path, the surrounding scenery was indescribably breathtaking. Green mountains stretched into the distance, the sky was crystalline, and sunlight flowed over the hills like a painted masterpiece. Ahmed looked around for a moment, then whispered to himself:
"If only Irina could clear her mind... like these landscapes created by the Almighty."
He took a deep breath, then said: "The road is long... but I must arrive quickly."
Ahmed continued driving for nearly an hour and a half through the mountain trails. The journey was exhausting, but his resolve was stronger than his fatigue. After a while, the path began to ease. He looked at the phone—only 1.6 kilometers left. He increased his speed slightly, yet remained cautious. His eyes flickered between the road and the screen; he didn't want to make a mistake at this stage.
Finally, he reached the designated mountain. He brought the motorcycle to a slow halt. He looked around; the place was eerily silent. Then, he spotted something—a parked car. He approached it slowly and placed his hand on it.
"Cold," he remarked. "That means she's been here for a while."
He lifted his gaze slowly and saw the entrance to the old mine before him. A dark void in the heart of the mountain... as if swallowing the light. Ahmed stood before it for a moment, then said calmly:
"From here... the true adventure begins."
He took his bag from the bike, switched on his flashlight, and stepped inside.
Inside the Mine
The darkness was thick, revealing nothing but the beam of his light. The air was frigid, the silence heavy, and the mine was immense. Paths branched in every direction—long tunnels and confusing intersections. Ahmed paused and asked:
"Where do I start...?"
He thought for a moment, then said: "I will try to track her signs."
He began walking slowly, looking at the ground, the walls, and any mark that might guide him. He entered one passage, then another, then a third branch. The further he ventured, the more complex the place became. Time passed, but... nothing. No clear footprints, no sound, no evidence.
He finally stopped and took a deep breath. "What do I do now...?"
He gazed into the darkness and said with determination: "I must find her before a disaster occurs... before she kills herself."
He sat on the ground for a moment, resting his head in his hands from exhaustion. He told himself: "I will rest... just four hours... then I will continue the search."
He switched off the light, leaning against the cold wall. But deep down, he knew... that time was not on his side.
