Gunfire echoed relentlessly through the arena.
Agent Mike kept firing as the agile creature tore through the remaining monsters with savage precision claws ripping flesh, bones snapping, bodies crashing to the floor.
Mike reached into his backpack, yanked out two grenades, and hurled them toward the last group of creatures still watching from the upper levels.
BOOM!
The explosion scattered flesh and blood across the stone walls, raining gore into the battleground.
Silence followed.
Mike turned slowly.
The agile creature stood over another corpse, its claws buried deep. It withdrew them slowly… and locked eyes with him.
"Yeah," Mike muttered. "So now what?"
The creature snarled and began stalking toward him.
Mike inhaled deeply, cocked his weapon, and met its gaze without blinking.
Suddenly
The creature charged.
Mike fired.
The bullets sliced through the air but missed as the creature flipped sideways, acrobatic and impossibly fast.
Mike advanced while firing continuously.

Mike narrowed his eyes, tracking the pattern of movement.
I see you.
He adjusted his stance..
But the creature suddenly shifted tactics.
It landed, sprang forward in a front flip, and drove a brutal kick into Mike's stomach.
"Ahh!"
Mike was hurled backward, slamming hard onto his back. The gun flew from his hand and skidded across the ground.
The creature landed cleanly on its feet.
Mike groaned. "Ah… aghr!"
He struggled up and froze.
The gun lay on the ground between him and the creature.
Mike smiled.
Both of them sprinted at the same time.
The creature slid low toward the weapon...
Mike leapt, spinning midair over the gun, stretching his arm downward.
His fingers closed around the grip just as the creature slid past him.
Mike landed on one knee and one hand, twisting instantly, raising the gun with his free hand.
The creature crouched opposite him, bent low, hands braced between its legs.
They stared at each other.
The creature growled...
And suddenly launched itself straight upward.
Mike fired where it had been.
He dropped to his knees and shot upward as it descended,
The creature came down fast..
Mike pulled the trigger.
Click.
Empty.
His eyes widened.
He rolled away just in time as the creature slammed into the exact spot where he had been.
From above, the doctor watched with an evil, satisfied smile.
Mike scrambled to his feet
And froze.
The creature was holding his watch.
"How… where's my watch?"
The creature examined it, then casually strapped it onto its wrist and double-tapped the screen.
Mike turned sharply toward the doctor.
"Oh, now they can operate a watch?" he snapped. "What else can these things do, FREAK?!"
The creature raised its hands toward its own head
But Mike's shout echoed across the arena.
Some of the fallen monsters stirred.
Eyes snapped open.
One lunged toward Mike.
Before it could reach him
The agile creature came from behind and smashed the monster into the ground, slicing its throat open with one clean motion.
More monsters rushed Mike.
He drew another dagger and began slashing at the nearest ones
BAAAM!
A massive body slammed into him from afar, knocking him flat.
"Ahh!"
Several creatures pinned him down. Claws tore into his bulletproof vest. One forced his head into the ground, growling inches from his face.
Blood spilled from Mike's mouth and chest.
The doctor smirked.
Mike's strength faded. His vision blurred.
Then...
A claw burst through the monster pinning his head.
The agile creature yanked it upward and slammed the body into the ground, ripping it apart.
It rushed the others, cutting them down in rapid succession.
One monster swung wildly,
The creature twisted...
Too late.
SPLASH!
Two massive claws raked across its head.
"ARGHR!"
The creature staggered back, blood pouring from the wound.
Breathing hard, it raised both hands to its head
And began to pull.
