Chapter 155 - Victor and Dumbledore's Wizarding Duel

"Victor is only here to keep a promise, and I'm just here to visit you," Dumbledore said. "But of course, there are some other special reasons…"

"Haha… I understand." Grindelwald smiled meaningfully. Although he wasn't told beforehand, he had a good idea of what Dumbledore was planning. "Then let me witness the heights to which the younger generation's power has reached!"

With that, he walked straight through the rusted bars and out of his cell.

As he walked down the stone stairs of the tower, Victor looked up at the cell and asked curiously, "Why didn't you just escape? This place can't hold you."

"Oh… it can't, no." Grindelwald put his hands behind his back and smiled wickedly. "But where would I go if I left? You know there's an old geezer watching me all the time."

"I think as long as you behave and don't have any other ideas, it's definitely possible to find a place to live out your golden years in peace," Victor said. "Didn't you just say that Professor Dumbledore has a ridiculous conscience?"

"You're a clever boy and very talented." Grindelwald praised him, then changed the subject. "But on this path, you're still too inexperienced."

"What do you mean?"

"Once you leave the cage, you can't truly do whatever you want. Even if you don't want to do certain things, there will be some mysterious force pushing you forward until you have no choice but to complete them."

"Are you talking about your Acolytes?"

"It has nothing to do with them. It's just that I can't stand some things out there…"

Victor and Grindelwald continued to chat as they walked out of the tower. They saw an endless valley with mountains and a snow-capped peak in the distance, even in the summer.

So, Victor couldn't help but remind him, "Professor, are you sure this place is okay? It's remote, but our fight will create a lot of noise."

"Don't worry, the outside of this mountain is protected by Muggle-Repelling Charms. No one will come here," Dumbledore said, taking off his bulky wizard robes. "Let's begin."

"Alright, then." Victor nodded.

The two of them instantly vanished and reappeared in a vast canyon. The cliffs on both sides of the river were nearly a kilometer apart. At the bottom of the cliffs were many white boulders that had probably fallen due to geological activity. The rocks on the cliffs probably weren't very stable after being exposed to the wind and sun every day.

"To be honest, I haven't been this nervous in a long time."

Dumbledore gently caressed the Elder Wand, one of the three Deathly Hallows. Since he defeated Grindelwald in 1945, he had never used his full power. When Voldemort saw him over a decade ago, he immediately ran, never giving Dumbledore a chance to unleash his full power.

"Professor, I'll take this rare opportunity to witness how powerful you are, the one the world calls the White Lord." Victor stretched his limbs, making his joints crack. That's right, what Victor had promised Dumbledore on the day of the Grand Wizarding Tournament was a proper wizarding duel.

At the time, Victor was very confused when he heard Dumbledore's request. He didn't understand what the old geezer was thinking, but after thinking it over, he finally agreed. Because no matter why Dumbledore made this request, the chance to learn about the most powerful wizards in the world was reason enough.

And so, after a brief exchange, the two of them began the standard wizarding duel etiquette. Fawkes slowly flew above their heads and let out a loud shriek. A crimson feather slowly fell from its body and landed between the two of them, turning into a golden flame.

"Professor, no holding back." Victor reminded him first, then he held out both of his hands to the sides.

Whoom...

Two magic circles, one blue and one red, instantly appeared in his hands. Then, he put his hands together, and the two magic circles fused.

"Dragon Emperor's Roar."

BOOM!

As soon as he finished speaking, a pillar of fire more than ten meters in diameter swept across the ground with a destructive force. The high temperature it emitted caused the air in the entire valley to visibly distort.

"Partis Temporus." Dumbledore chanted, and with a gentle wave of his wand, the pillar of fire was immediately cut in half, as if by something. Then, countless flames followed the direction of the Elder Wand, quickly converging and compressing into a blindingly white fireball in front of Dumbledore. The magic was reflected back.

"Iron Rock Wall." Faced with the attack flying towards him, Victor didn't move a single step. He simply held out his right palm. A brown magic circle, with rock runes and a heavy aura, instantly expanded. An extremely thick black stone wall suddenly rose up, blocking the fireball's path.

After just one round, a deep, semi-circular ditch appeared in the middle of the valley. The rocks in the ditch were still glowing, and the bright parts were soft glass. In the center of the ditch, there was even slow-flowing lava.

"Professor Dumbledore, I have to say, you truly deserve the title of the White Lord," Victor said with a smile, smelling the strong scent of burnt smoke in the air.

To be honest, Dumbledore's power far exceeded his expectations. The compound magic circle of Fire Dragon Slayer Magic and Sky Dragon Slayer Magic was extremely powerful, with the wind fueling the fire. But he didn't expect Dumbledore to neutralize it so easily and even use the flames to launch a more powerful counterattack.

"You overestimate me." Dumbledore replied expressionlessly, but his heart was still filled with shock. Although Victor's Dragon Emperor's Roar didn't affect him, was its power a bit too exaggerated? A single spell created lava. If they continued fighting like this, not just the valley, but all of Nurmengard would be affected.

But unfortunately, Victor, with his fighting spirit now ignited, wouldn't care about such things. Since Dumbledore was strong enough, there was no need for him to hold back. And so, Victor warned, "Professor, be careful!"

Then, with a wave of his hand, several golden magic circles suddenly appeared in the sky.

"Solar Flare!"

Several dazzling light columns descended from the sky. Dumbledore's pupils constricted, because he felt a power in these light columns that was even more terrifying than the flames from before.

With no time to defend, Dumbledore's entire body suddenly twisted towards the center, and he instantly disappeared from the spot.

The Solar Flare hit the ground, causing a fierce explosion that sent dirt and dust flying throughout the valley. The places hit by the light columns now had several bubbling pools of lava.

And the very next second, before Victor could even find Dumbledore, a sky full of blue light beams came raining down like a storm, tearing through the smoke and dust.

"Protego." Victor didn't move, instead, he cast a powerful defensive charm on himself.

Bang bang bang...!!

A series of explosions rang out as the spells hit the transparent shield. A few seconds later, the area around Victor was filled with deep craters and shattered rocks.

Every spell had the power of high explosives. Dumbledore's attack also revealed his location. Victor activated his ocular magic, and the figure behind the smoke and dust immediately came into view.

And so, the super-level destructive spell, Crush, was activated.

Rumble rumble rumble...

A white magic circle with cracking runes appeared under his feet. The surrounding ground was cut into large, square pieces of rock that were sent flying towards Dumbledore by a powerful force.

Dumbledore saw the giant rocks flying through the smoke and dust. He simply pointed his Elder Wand at the empty air, and all the giant rocks were instantly shattered into pieces, as if they had been hit by a terrifying force. The next second, they were enveloped in flames and flew back towards Victor like bullets.

Faced with such a dense attack, a brilliant blue magic circle lit up under Victor's feet.

Whoossh—

A tornado rose into the sky, reaching the clouds. All the flaming rock bullets and scattered debris were instantly swept into the sky by the violent wind with almost no resistance.

Then, a crimson and a white magic circle lit up one after another, and an extremely hot fire tornado was formed. The heat it emitted instantly radiated to the distant mountains. Countless snow began to melt at a visible speed, and a huge amount of snowmelt began to flow into the valley.

Victor, who was standing in the center of the crimson fire tornado, simply waved his hand. The fire tornado immediately dissipated, but what followed was a sky full of giant flaming rocks, as if a volcano had just erupted.

They flew towards Dumbledore like a meteor shower, carrying the devastating energy of the skies and earth.
