Chapter 153 - The Grand Tournament Ends, Summer Break Begins

Young Eagle A's sneaky assassination attempt was quickly foiled because his teammates' so-called cover actually gave him away.

Hermione, with her sharp senses, noticed that no spells were coming from the direction Young Eagle A was lurking in. She immediately realized something was fishy and eliminated him without hesitation, which completely caught Ivanna off guard.

In the end, with both of her plans failing, Ivanna decided to use the smoke tactic that Victor had taught them earlier. She hoped to create a distraction while forcing Hermione and the others out of their cover.

However, this tactic was quickly neutralized by Hermione's tornado.

With her three main strategies failing, Ivanna now had no choice but to rely on their only remaining advantage, their numbers, to launch a full-on assault within a limited amount of time.

Under her command, the remaining four young eagles quickly ascended and began a bombardment of spells on the three on the ground. They used spells with large ranges, such as Oppugno and Expulso, to blast the trio on the ground.

"Salvio hexia!"

To counter the attacks from the sky, Penelope immediately cast the strongest defensive charm. A semi-circular shield enveloped the three of them. Countless spells bombarded the shield, creating ripples.

"Quick, do something! This won't last long!"

In just a few seconds, cracks began to appear on the shield.

"They have more people than us. We can't risk fighting them in the sky," Cedric said. On the ground, there were still large trees and rocks they could use as cover, but once they flew into the air, it would all come down to reaction speed. One wrong move and they could be eliminated, which would lead to a total loss.

"I'll try." Hermione aimed her wand at the figures in the sky.

The magic circle of her Sky Magic slowly unfolded. Soon, a hurricane rose directly from the dense forest and rushed towards Ivanna and the others.

However, they were able to dodge the attack with their flexible movements. At best, they were a bit unsteady.

The sky provided too much room to maneuver, and with Hermione's current level of Sky Magic, her attack range and power were limited, so she couldn't do anything to Ivanna and her team. Besides, they had been practicing the Wingardium Leviosa flying spell for the past two years, so they weren't too bad at it.

But just as Ivanna was dodging the wind column from Hermione's Sky Magic and was about to organize another attack, two black dots rapidly approached. Two phoenixes, one hot and one cold, flew straight towards the young eagles.

"Oh no, their substitutes are here! Run!" Ivanna's expression changed, and she immediately shouted to warn her team. But even so, Anthony, who was closer to the phoenixes, couldn't dodge in time and his arm was scorched by the flames.

"Ah!" Anthony immediately felt a burning sensation on his arm, as if it had been hit with a hot iron. An intense, tearing heat went straight to his head, making him dizzy.

"Anthony, are you okay?" Ivanna flew over and asked anxiously, casting a basic healing charm to ease his pain. "Rennervate!"

"My goodness, you're badly hurt!" Marietta also flew over. Due to the scorching heat, large blisters had already appeared on Anthony's arm. Although this injury was not enough to get him eliminated, it would be difficult for him to continue fighting.

"I'm fine. I can still move my wand arm..." Anthony replied through gritted teeth.

"I'm sorry, I miscalculated." Ivanna looked crestfallen. She was frustrated that she wasn't able to eliminate Hermione and the others before Fairy Tail's substitutes arrived.

"It's okay. Our opponent is Fairy Tail, led by a genius. It makes sense for us to lose or win," Anthony said, beads of sweat on his forehead as he tried to comfort her. He didn't really care about the loss.

Finally, Cedric, Hermione, and Penelope breathed a sigh of relief when Luna and Sonia arrived. The three of them immediately flew up to meet them and face the four Ravenclaws.

"Ivanna, are you still going to fight?" Penelope asked, flying forward.

The scales were now tipped in Fairy Tail's favor. One of Ravenclaw's members was injured, and their remaining substitutes would not arrive for a while. If Cedric gave the order, Ravenclaw would be eliminated.

Ivanna looked at Penelope and the others behind her, then at her own teammates. Seeing that the fighting spirit had not faded from their faces, she replied with a determined expression, "We won't give up. Although you guys are very strong, we still want to try."

"Alright, we'll give you a chance." Cedric, as the team captain, flew forward. He was impressed by the Ravenclaws. "Let's do one-on-one duels. The winner will be determined by skill alone."

"Deal!" Ivanna accepted and was the first to step forward. Penelope was her opponent. The two of them were good friends in real life, so it was only natural for Penelope to step up.

However, since Penelope was practicing the difficult Spatial Magic, she couldn't use it in a real fight yet, so the duel was a head-to-head battle based on their skills.

After ten minutes of intense fighting, Penelope barely won, and Ivanna was eliminated. With the substitutes, Ravenclaw had only three usable members left.

Half an hour later, all of the Ravenclaws were eliminated, and the proud eagles officially said goodbye to the Grand Wizarding Tournament.

After defeating the Ravenclaws, Cedric didn't forget about the remaining three Hufflepuffs. He led the other four team members and immediately headed in the direction of the Hufflepuff team. They quickly found the ancestral Scamander case near the spot where the Hufflepuffs were ambushed.

When Cedric opened the case, he entered an incredibly spacious area. He saw Rolf and his two companions sitting together like three hamsters, munching on snacks. There were many empty food wrappers around them.

Rolf didn't panic when he saw Cedric. He even took out a piece of nougat that his grandmother had made for him and asked, "Oh, you're here, upperclassman? Want to try some?"

"..." Everyone present was speechless. Of course, except for the Hufflepuffs themselves. They thought this was completely normal. Eating is nothing to be ashamed of!

And so, after effortlessly eliminating the remaining Hufflepuffs, the Hogwarts Grand Wizarding Tournament officially came to an end.

Fairy Tail won both the arena match and the team match. Their reputation soared, and their standing at Hogwarts rose to a very high position.

The grand event was finally over, and the young wizards finally entered a leisurely and happy summer vacation.

July, the transition between spring and summer, was filled with scorching sun. The afterglow of the Grand Wizarding Tournament continued to shine, and many people in the wizarding world were still talking about it in their spare time.

Of course, there were also those with a lot on their minds.

The strength that Hogwarts had shown in this tournament put a lot of pressure on the other wizarding schools. The headmasters and deputy headmasters of these schools were now scratching their heads, wondering how to compete with Hogwarts for new students in the next two months.

At the same time, although it was now summer break and Hogwarts was closed, the members of Fairy Tail could still travel between the guild and their homes during the summer because of the teleportation charm that Victor had set on their guild emblems.

Today, Victor was living his usual carefree life at home. But just then, a loud shriek suddenly broke the silence in the Swinton household.

Aliya, who was relaxing on the living room sofa with her legs crossed, saw a mysterious ball of flame suddenly appear in the room. She immediately jumped up in fear and hid behind the sofa. She peeked her eyes out and shouted towards the kitchen, "Victor, come here! There's a bird on fire in the living room!"

"I know. It's Fawkes, isn't it?" Victor stuck his head out of the kitchen. He was wearing an apron and holding a spatula. In reality, he had known who the visitor was the moment the phoenix appeared. "Fawkes, why are you here? Did Professor Dumbledore force you to eat Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans again, so you escaped from his office?"

Victor came out of the kitchen and looked at the phoenix with a teasing smile. That old geezer often liked to share his snacks with his pet, but Fawkes actually hated his strange, sickly sweet snacks. Fawkes had told this to Luna when they were chatting before.

When Fawkes heard Victor's teasing, he rolled his eyes in a very human-like way, and then let out a shriek. A stream of fire came out of his beak, and a line of text appeared in the air:

It's time to fulfill our agreement

- Albus Dumbledore.

"Oh, so that's what this is about." Victor looked at the fiery red letters and suddenly understood. He nodded and said, "I know. Go back and tell Professor Dumbledore that I'll be right there."
