(The Deal)
Greta's mind was racing as she considered Sophia's proposal. What did she want Greta to do, and what would be the consequences of her actions? Sophia's eyes seemed to bore into her soul, as if searching for any sign of hesitation.
"What do I need to do?" Greta asked, her voice firm.
Sophia smiled, her eyes glinting with satisfaction. "I need you to deliver a package to one of Alexander's associates," she said. "It's a simple task, but it's crucial that it's done correctly."
Greta's instincts were screaming at her to be cautious. Something didn't feel right. "Why can't Alexander do it himself?" she asked.
Sophia's expression turned cold. "Alexander is... busy," she said. "And besides, this requires a certain... delicacy. Someone who can blend in, someone who won't arouse suspicion."
Greta raised an eyebrow. "And you think I'm the right person for the job?"
Sophia nodded. "You're perfect, Greta. You're innocent, naive. No one would suspect you of being involved in... whatever it is that Alexander does."
Greta felt a cold shiver run down her spine. She didn't like the sound of this. But Sophia's words had piqued her curiosity. What was in the package, and why was it so important?
"What do I get out of this?" Greta asked, her voice firm.
Sophia smiled again. "You'll get the truth about your past," she said. "I'll tell you everything I know. And I'll make sure Alexander keeps his distance. You'll be free of him."
Greta hesitated. She didn't know if she could trust Sophia, but she was desperate for answers. And if this was the only way to get them...
"Okay," Greta said finally. "I'll do it."
Sophia nodded, handing Greta a small package. "Good," she said. "Here's the package. You'll need to deliver it to Marco's Café on the outskirts of town. Ask for Victor."
Greta took the package, feeling a sense of trepidation. What had she just gotten herself into?
As she left the café, Greta couldn't shake off the feeling that she was being watched. She glanced around, but saw nothing out of the ordinary. Still, the feeling persisted.
She made her way to Marco's Café, her heart pounding in her chest. What would happen when she delivered the package? And what would Sophia reveal about her past?
When she arrived at the café, Greta spotted Victor immediately. He was a burly man with a scruffy beard and a menacing gaze. Greta felt a shiver run down her spine as he approached her.
"You're the one with the package," he said, his voice gruff.
Greta nodded, handing him the package. Victor opened it, revealing a small box filled with cash.
"Good," he said, his voice a little softer. "You're doing the right thing, Greta. Alexander won't be happy about this, but... sometimes, we have to make tough choices."
Greta felt a sense of unease. What had she just done? And what would Alexander's reaction be when he found out?
As she turned to leave, Greta saw Alexander himself standing in the doorway. His eyes locked onto hers, and she felt a jolt of electricity.
"Greta," he said, his voice low and menacing. "What are you doing here?"
Greta's heart sank. She knew she was in trouble
