The walk from the training courtyard to the palace entrance was not long, but Aurelia used every moment of it to gather her thoughts.
"Remind me again," Aurelia said calmly as she walked down the broad corridor leading to the grand entrance, "why it was never mentioned to me that Prince Daeron has a twin sister. And now am to find out that she's worse than that devil Daeron himself?."
Therion walked beside her, his hands clasped behind his back in his usual composed manner.
"I believed Your Majesty already knew," he said carefully. "You should have been informed about every member of the royal family."
"That," Aurelia replied dryly, "is a very dangerous assumption. The king only told me about his immediate sister levina, and I met and liked her. It seems he didn't see the need of telling me about his half sister."
Behind her, Gwen muttered quietly.
"One Daeron was already more than enough trouble for this palace."
Aurelia allowed herself the faintest smile.
