Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

"Turn stealth into a strength of hearing?" Everyone looked at each other, confused.

Yaoyorozu suddenly understood: "Ah! Normally, Hagakure walks softly to stay hidden. But now that All Might's wearing noise-canceling headphones—blocking his hearing—she doesn't have to tiptoe anymore. Her movement speed and options have greatly increased."

"But even then, Hagakure still... left footprints!"

Behind All Might, a footprint appeared. He quickly noticed it and became alert in that direction. After about ten seconds, realizing something was off, he turned back—only to see a mess of chaotic footprints. Suspecting something, he turned back again and, sure enough, more footprints had appeared in another direction.

Tokoyami: "So that's it. She's creating false footprints to hide her actual path. Normally, that wouldn't work because quick reaction time is needed. But since the enemy's hearing is disabled, it becomes possible."

"Impressive, Hagakure!"

Seven or eight minutes passed, and Hagakure had created footprints in multiple directions.

"This isn't good…" All Might was sweating. "Some prints are close enough that one jump could reach the nuke. But in a dusty place like this, I can't just punch randomly—if the dust clouds up and blocks my vision, I'll be the one in trouble."

Yaoyorozu: "At this point, laying physical traps like wires would be best. But All Might had cleaned the area beforehand…"

"So this is All Might's own doing, huh!"

A few minutes later, the nuke was suddenly touched, signaling Hagakure's victory.

When Midoriya returned to class in the afternoon after skipping some lessons, the class was deep in discussion about the training session. Once he entered, everyone rushed over to him to compliment him and introduce themselves. Kameo Gin packed her bag, thinking there was nothing left of interest, and decided to leave since Bakugo had already gone.

"Hey, Kameo—do you know where Kacchan went?"

"Bakugo? He left before the reflection meeting."

Hearing that, Midoriya ran out immediately. After saying goodbye to the others, Kameo Gin also left.

"Wait, Kameo! This reflection meeting is something the whole class agreed to do. If three people leave…"

"It'll still work, won't it?" Kameo Gin smiled. "Anyway, Tokoyami's sitting on the desk—shouldn't you handle that, Iida?"

"Oh no—Tokoyami, how could you sit on a desk used by our great predecessors…"

Their voices faded. In the main hall, Kameo Gin spotted Midoriya and Bakugo talking. To avoid interrupting, she slowly went to her shoe locker.

Bakugo was in tears. "I lost to you today. That's all. But seeing that guy with ice and the one with metal powers—I know I can't beat them yet. And damn it, that metal freak had a point too! I'm pissed! But you listen—I've only just started. I'm gonna be number one. I'll defeat you, the ice guy, and that punk with the shades!"

Metal freak… punk with the shades…

Bakugo's image in Kameo Gin's mind shifted from "angry pineapple" to "mouthy brat who can't talk properly."

He noticed her and yelled, "What are you looking at?! I'll defeat you too, you flat-chested girl!"

Flat-chested…?

B-cup Kameo Gin, constantly compared to D-cup girls like Shield, Bones, and Phoenix, snapped.

"Huh? What did you say, pineapple head?" she grinned, cracking her knuckles. "Oh wait—should I say 'Kacchan the crybaby who lost to Midoriya'? Is that better?"

"Don't provoke him!" Midoriya panicked.

"Wanna fight?"

"Bring it on! I'll even go easy on you, since you're such a crybaby, Ka-chan~."

Midoriya swore he heard Bakugo's last nerve snap.

"AAAAAAHHHHH!!! STOP! STOPPPPPP!!!"

Eventually, All Might came to calm them down and dragged them both away.

As Kameo Gin approached the school gate, she saw a swarm of reporters. She sighed.

Ugh. These kinds of people—useless and annoying.

"Yo," said a creepy man covering his face with a hand. "Are you a U.A. student?"

She eyed his disheveled blue hair, scrawny body, and a dirty silver ring on his right hand.

Fate works in mysterious ways.

"Yes, I'm a student here."

"I'm Shigaraki Tomura. Do you know the name Shimura Tenko?"

"Shimura Tenko... an upperclassman maybe? Sorry, I don't really know the older students. But I can help you ask around."

"No, no need. Thanks. Here—this is for you." He handed her a drink.

Wary, she didn't accept it.

"It's nothing. I can't take a gift for something so small."

Just then, Aizawa appeared: "Hurry up or you'll be late."

Shigaraki forced the drink into her hands. "Then take it as a gift from me."

"Did he do anything to you?" Aizawa asked. "Do you know him?"

"Nope," she replied. "Probably just a creep."

"Well, get moving. You've got five minutes."

She stuffed the drink into her side pouch—her only clue. Risky maybe, but worth investigating.

She messaged Phoenix and Shield:

"I need something analyzed this afternoon."

"Look into a guy named Shimura Tenko. Start with U.A., expand if needed."

Later in class:

"We're choosing class reps today," Aizawa announced.

"Finally, something normal!" someone exclaimed. The class erupted in speeches and campaigning.

Iida stood up. "I believe we should vote anonymously."

With Aizawa's approval, they held a secret ballot. Final votes: Midoriya - 4, Yaoyorozu - 2, most others got one.

Kameo had originally wanted to vote for Iida but changed her mind due to accidentally hurting Midoriya the day before. Guilt won.

"WHO VOTED FOR THAT NERD?!" Bakugo slammed the desk.

Kameo smirked. "Anyone's better than you."

Their eyes locked—lightning metaphorically crackled.

"Fine, flat-chested girl! Remember this!"

"Gladly, crybaby Kacchan."

Class: …Are they seriously fighting again?

Midoriya turned away, traumatized.

At lunch, Kameo sat with Midoriya, Ochako, and Iida.

"I think Midoriya showed real leadership—so I voted for you."

"You too?" he asked.

"And me," added Kameo. "But Iida, didn't you want to be class rep?"

"Desire and suitability are different. I did what I thought was right."

"…Are you a noble or something?" Kameo asked. "Related to Ingenium, maybe?"

"How did you know?"

"No way—are you?"

"Yes. The Turbo Hero Ingenium is my brother."

"The one with 65 staff and a Tokyo agency?!"

"Yes. He's rule-abiding, a true leader. I admire him greatly. But I'm not ready to lead just yet…"

Suddenly, an alarm blared: "Security breach at Level 3! Please evacuate!"

The cafeteria descended into chaos.

"Let's go!" said Ochako.

"Wait—" Kameo tried to respond, but they'd already gone.

She looked outside: "Just a bunch of reporters... and a few teachers already there."

"Where's Kameo?!" Midoriya realized.

"I'll go find her! You guys go ahead!"

He pushed against the crowd. "Kameo!"

She was calmly finishing her meal. "Why are you back?"

"You didn't follow us—are you okay? I'll carry you if needed!"

"No need." She pointed out the window. "It's just media."

"Oh… You're right. Wait! I've got to tell the others!"

She followed after him. They reached the door just as Iida was calming the crowd: "It's just the press! Let's act like U.A. students!"

Panic faded.

Later that day, Midoriya offered to give the class rep position to Iida. Everyone agreed. Iida Tenya became the official Class A rep.
