Below, under the silver light of the moon, inside the pool, was a man. Estelle froze on the balcony, her hand gripping the glass railing tightly. She couldn't see his face, only his back glistening under the pale light, but she knew who it was.

Why is he in the pool at this hour?
Does he not know how to swim?
Did he fall? Was he pushed?
A dozen questions flooded her mind, her heart beating very fast. She turned sharply, rushing toward the door, but the moment her hand touched the knob, she hesitated. What if her eyes were deceiving her?
She spun around and ran back to the balcony. Her eyes widened when she saw him still in the water, floating motionlessly under the moonlight.
"Sh*t! Stupid me!" she muttered, her voice trembling with panic as she ran out of the room.
