Chapter 10: The Behemoth's Explosive Death.

Huh!

Huh!

Uchiha Uran's mouth opened wide, straining to breathe, even as his chest ached.

Sweat drenched him, his spirit master's body now bursting with astonishing speed. Though his spirit power had already been depleted and his head still stung from time to time, he dared not stop.

"Hurry up, faster!"

"We're almost at the first trap."

Uchiha Uran's mind was filled with the thought of perseverance.

It was a dense forest.

The scorching sun shone through the gaps between the layers of leaves. A thin figure ran at a rapid pace, constantly glancing behind and around, fearing some terrifying creature might suddenly appear.

Though his features were delicate, he now looked dusty and bloodstained. His silver-white hair, damp with sweat, grew like tangled weeds on his head.

The young man, dressed in blue and white trousers and a long shirt, was now in a state of extreme distress. His armband's clothing had been ripped to shreds, his hands stained with blood. A horrific wound pierced his arm, dripping onto the road as he continued running.

He hadn't had time to bandage it, and now his entire body was oozing blood. It was hard to imagine how he had managed to hold on; the sheer amount of blood loss alone would have been fatal. The pain from each wound tormented the frail young man.

"Roar!"

A sudden, brutal roar echoed from afar.

The young man shuddered, then gritted his teeth and ran even faster. The sense of danger and urgency was like a monster's claw, clutching at his heart.

Meanwhile, the once terrifying Exploding Owlbear was now a terrifying sight. Despite its immense physical strength, this strength didn't offer it any advantage.

After its roar, it suddenly felt an intense itch deep in its throat, followed by a violent retching fit, vomiting all its food, half a leg, a small portion of its head, and fragments of other body parts onto the ground.

But it wasn't over yet. It began vomiting blood, streams of black blood pouring out from the depths of its throat, seemingly endless, spilling onto the ground. The stench of decay was so thick that the mere smell of it could make one dizzy.

Not only did the bear vomit blood, but after it had vomited up all its remaining spit, it managed to crouch down, then continued its pursuit of the young man as if nothing had happened. Its fur itched and pricked, leaving behind large patches of hair.

It was shedding.

The pursuit continued.

Uchiha Uranium could feel the stalking sensation from behind, and he was convinced that the spirit beast would not let him go until he was dead.

During this hour-long escape, he had the misfortune of making brief contact, only to have his arm lightly brushed, leaving flesh lacerated and blood spurting.

Fortunately, his small size allowed him to nimbly slip through the hole beneath the rock, and after the boulder briefly stopped it, he once again secured the amulet of safe distance.

He couldn't understand why, even though he was already drenched in radiation and the other spirit beasts were running away like ghosts, something so relentless had appeared and wouldn't let him go!

But at some point, the bear had begun to lose his ability to catch up, or perhaps something else had distracted him.

Whatever the situation, he wouldn't stop until he reached the trap-ridden camp. If the silent approach from before happened again, he wouldn't have a second chance to turn around.

He was exhausted and aching, every part of his body ached, and his mind was a bit foggy. The price of overdrawing his spirit power was unknowingly starting to take hold.

He felt like he would fall at any moment, and then he wouldn't have the strength to get up!

"Huff, huff, huff,"

Uchiha Uranium panted, his frail body unable to muster the strength to take another step. He had reached his limit.

Behind him, silence had settled, no footsteps were heard, and the sound of roars was heard. This meant he had already left the bear some distance behind, and most likely had stopped chasing him.

But Uchiha Uranium knew that was impossible. The bear's eyes were filled with madness. It would never give up just because it couldn't catch up. It must be on its way!

He was now unable to move forward, even with his will. He could only trudge forward, holding onto rocks and trees, and trudging forward. His slow pace was also a way to conserve his energy for the next sprint and escape.

The sound of a flowing stream gradually became clearer, and soon, a stream appeared before the boy's eyes. If he was not mistaken, it should be a branch of the forest lake.

Without saying a word, he immediately leaned over to drink a large gulp of the clear stream water, then quickly washed himself, wiping his face and hands. Then, without hesitation, he crossed the stream and continued on his way.

He couldn't stay for too long.

This was Uchiha Uran's inner warning. He knew full well he wasn't out of danger. Only with the spirit beast's death would the crisis be over.

And he had to kill it today, or else it might attack again while he slept. The thought of it attacking him again one night was terrifying.

He couldn't understand what had gone wrong to attract the spirit beast's attention. The recently deceased human corpse had been found in the tree hollow.

He had just arrived nearby, lighting a fire to lure the creature into the hollow to investigate, when the spirit beast was already behind him. It had come so suddenly, so quickly.

The Exploding Owlbear's movements were sluggish. Compared to its fierce, powerful physique an hour earlier, it looked decades older.

Its fur had shed profusely, and what remained had a sickly appearance. Its entire size had shrunk by two sizes, as if something within it was rapidly devouring its fat and energy.

But the madness within its eyes remained. Even as its internal organs hemorrhaged and its blood vessels ruptured, it uttered no cry of pain, pursuing silently as before.

A quarter of an hour later, Uchiha Uranium regained his strength and prepared to break into a run, but a sudden, rotten, moldy stench, accompanied by an unparalleled gust of wind, swept towards the boy, who hadn't moved.

Hastily, Uchiha Uranium could only curl up as much as possible, holding his machete at arm's length, shielding his face and chest with the sides.

With a muffled thud, the boy, running twice as fast as before, was sent flying by the bear's claws.

He was flung over ten meters, the side of the machete dented in, nearly severing his head. After landing, he rolled seven or eight times in the fallen leaves and stones of the forest floor, finally stopping his tumbling after impact with a boulder.

"Ugh!"

The impact on his internal organs caused bleeding, and the impact of the boulder made him see stars.

Unable to hold it back any longer, Uchiha Uranium screamed and spat out large mouthfuls of blood.

Severe pain spread throughout his body, and the boy's face turned pale.

After struggling on the ground for a while without success, his head became increasingly foggy, his vision went dark, and his body could no longer feel anything. Finally, his head fell heavily and he fainted.

And the Exploding Owlbear, after successfully attacking with its claws, did not make any roar, but walked silently towards the boy.

Suddenly, its body began to tremble, and black blood flowed uncontrollably from the corners of its eyes, ears, and mouth. Then it fell to the ground in pain and began to vomit violently.

Its internal organs began to bleed profusely, and its organ functions began to fail. The DNA gene chain in its body began to collapse due to the intake of large amounts of nuclear radiation.

A moment later.

The giant beast fell not far from the boy, dirty blood continued to seep out, and died in the pain of its body collapsing. From beginning to end, the boy did not use weapons to hurt the giant beast, not even a little.
