Chapter 7 – The wrath of the Gods Part 1
After fast-forwarding the human's continent by around 100 years the humans had advanced rapidly. Even after the bloody conflict, Athena had started the human population had already begun to increase from its original number. Spanning around 70,000 People now and nearly 20,000 of them are in the human's new capital Entophia.
The biggest part of their growth was someone figuring out farming. Looking at the human goddess laying comfortably in my bed I asked in an affectionate tone. "I guess you had a part in them learning to farm?"
Replying with a wry grin on her face she shakes her head "Nope actually, they worked it out by eating fruit. They discovered where they dumped the seeds would have a large chance to grow the same plant. After experimenting with it for around 20 years they found several plants that they managed to grow including something similar to a potato. It tastes kind of bitter though. "
While looking pretty happy that the humans are starting to make pretty important discoveries on their own during this time skip I ask a question.
"Athena, did they make any more important discoveries?"
While thinking about it for a second she replied "Yes a few, you know that the humans tend to focus on more martial and warrior classes." After confirming with a nod she continued. "They discovered that if they have children between two powerful mages it tends to increase the likely hood of the child being a powerful mage instead. This is also true for KI as well for the warrior path."
"So that means their natural Ki and mana has something to do with genes?" Athena nodded and added on. "From Aura and my ruff research, this probably means our races will continue to evolve slightly to be better adapted for the higher amounts of energy their bodies will have to handle. Right now even if we lifted our level limit it probably means it would still take thousands to hundreds of thousands of years for them to reach any significant level until their bodies can handle the power."
"We concluded that the stats you set was the rough outline of their race and in the future, their average stats could increase in areas or decrease the gained stats in certain areas. Even though we initially thought the class system gave you a random first class we might be wrong. Aura suggested it could be that the game system gives a job that best suits the person. "
Humb... it seems like Aura may have a simple understanding of this.. Ever since she noticed me getting suspicious about her knowledge instead of researching she tends to go over the stuff she has done already with Athena. Ever since Athena came here around a week ago I noticed she has been doing a lot of her private research with her. Deciding on an action for later I reply to Athena.
"That makes sense! Does that mean the humans may be unable to unlock certain classes in the future due to them inadvertently directing their evolution down certain paths?"
Athena's response was quick while she started to get closer to me. "We believe that won't happen due to the system. We think the system forces their status to stay around the stats you created them with. At most, it could mean a mage family may start to become a warrior family and force their higher mana stats to decline back to its starting point."
While nodding I ask an important question. "Would the game system limit someone's growth if they picked a class that didn't suit them?"
Athena nodded and then shook her head. "At the moment the stats someone is born with plays a large part, however, I think once we raise our world's overall level it shouldn't play as big of a role. Especially after they start to hit level 200 plus since a few points shouldn't make as much of a difference. It's the benefit of the game system, however, this also means manual forms of training have little to no effect. "
After Athena and I get up we discuss the weapon arts the humans recently have started to use. After reaching past level 25 of a warrior class, they unlock a technique called weapon art. This technique allows the user to use a weapon the person is familiar with and for a single hit give it a boost in power. The drawback is after using it reduces your natural Ki regeneration since it siphons off some of your Ki to replenish the skill.
We all previously decided to descend so we all could activate our Ki and take a look around the human city. To be able to use Ki the person must be able to sense it. We all did some training in the divine realm but for it to take effect when we descend we must train it on the planet.
After we ate breakfast we grabbed some basic equipment that was offered to Athena and equipped it. We each grabbed a bag of square metal coins; right now the kingdom has a bartering system with metals. The kingdom has taken its first steps towards making its first coins.
After descending outside of the capital city we walked towards the gate. The guards had us lower our hoods to make sure we were not wanted criminals. After confirming we were not wanted we were allowed to enter after answering a few questions.
While looking around I notice some big differences between the elves and human settlements.
Firstly the humans had begun to build walls and fortifications to defend their settlements, while the elves build into the massive trees surrounding them making them into tree houses. Since the elves had discovered basic enchanting by experimenting with placing runes on objects. They have recently started to build a simple cloaking warding system to help keep the powerful monsters from spotting their settlements, using some newly discovered light runes.
The humans have started making use of stone for some of their buildings including the mountain fortress they have built for their royal family. This seems to be more a cultural thing instead of a lack of technology since the elves do make things out of stone. Including some simple forges, they have carved into large rocks.
Athena had informed the current queen through an Oracle that a priest and priestesses will be visiting them, and treat them kindly since they are on a task from her. So while we were on our way there I notice Aura looking upset, after looking I see a few rough-looking men dragging a young girl into an alleyway. "Hey girls, why don't we give that girl a hand?" I said to the two goddess's holding my arms. With a happy smile Aura agreed.
Running in I notice the girl getting forced to a wall and one of the men lifting his fur clothing. "Stop now you scum!" Running over I started to fight the men while trying to hold back my strength, however, our stat difference made it quite hard. I may have broken a few of their bones by accident. After Aura and Athena took the girl away I asked the men some questions. "Why were you going to do the unthinkable to a child." With blood lust oozing out of me the rapists attempted to intimidate me by telling me their backer. "W w w we are working o o on Sir Lawrence order to rough up the girl so if you leave n now we will forget this happened. " With me not speaking they gained some courage and continued. "He is a knight of the kingdom so we will need to be reimbursed with some compensation. Since you're dressed pretty well you should have some copper on you."
With a laugh, I gripped the leader and looked at him in the eyes. After looking into my eyes he gulped I may be laughing but my rage was starting to overflow and my aura began to leak out. The surroundings started to warp and the people walking by fell to their knees.
"Nathan CALM DOWN NOW." Aura shouted at me in panic as I started to release my Divine aura by accident. Calming down slightly I looked at Aura. "Sorry I lost it a bit with these scum. Should we take them to the castle to tell the queen what this sir Lawrence has been up to?"
While looking at me in slight concern she nodded. After I dropped the guy Aura walked over and hugged me. "It is ok now Darling calm down." Kissing my lips I felt my body lose its last bit of tension and my Divine aura completely vanished from my body. Only the residue of my aura could be felt but it should disperse after some time.
After the guards arrived we informed them of the situation and the men behind us denied everything. After taking us and the thugs to a holding area, one of the few stone buildings in the city we had to explain everything again. After 20 minutes a knight rushed in and apologized profusely.
"You must be the priest and priestess's we were expecting right. I am Count Atwater leader of the royal knights."
After confirming we were the priest and priestesses we explained what happened. "After nearly assaulting that little girl they told us of their backer in an attempt to get us to back off. I am sorry for the mess we made while trying to help." after apologizing Athena stepped in. "There is no need for you to apologize, Nathan, since a knight threatened to get a girl violated for his purpose. Isn't that against our goddess's teachings?" While glaring at the Count like he had just killed her whole family he backed up.
"Yes, yes the young miss is right! I should be the one apologizing and we can inform her majesty right away about this." In an attempt to change the subject the count bowed and said I forgot to ask the honorable priest and priestesses their names.
Aura responded interrupting what I was about to say. "I am Aura, that is Nathan and finally this is Elena." While giving Athena a glance Athena nodded.
Athena stood up while still glaring daggers at the count. "Let's go now and speak to her majesty about this, and start to sort some compensation for the girl and her family.

Nathan has set it as a goal to understand Aura's past, not out of concern because she is up to something but he wishes to understand her more.
Its been around a week since Athena was created.
-SideStory Auras letter home
Dear Mum, I have been loving my time here with Nathan. We have been doing a few different forms of research. Since this world is still quite primitive I can help Nathan with things since I helped you and dad manage some new worlds. I'm pretty sure he is getting suspicious about me not being who I said I am due to some of the questions he has been asking. I feel kind of guilty lying to him when he has shown me nothing but love so far.
I am scared of ruining our relationship if I keep it hidden any longer but I don't know how to tell him. Thinking I might disappoint him makes me feel to cry but I wanted him to fall in love with me and not a vague memory.
To be honest I sometimes see him covering up for me when I let slip things I shouldn't know. so I doubt he doesn't know I'm not a newborn deity.
While I think, Nathan let me create a new deity, as you told me it's important to make the hierarchy between us clear so while setting her template I set her to understand that. Athena and I have been planning a big wedding for when we officially marry Nathan. We even have our races researching how to make cloth right now for our dresses.
We have been also thinking about names for our future children. I want two girls and Athena wouldn't mind having as many as Nathan wished.
I hope you're doing well and I hope by the time you receive my next letter I will be pregnant.
