Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 Confession to Cha Eun Sang

After thinking it through, Lee Yeong immediately approached Cha Eun Sang and declared, "Cha Eun Sang, I like you. Let's formally get to know each other. My name is Lee Yeong."

Faced with Lee Yeong's sudden confession, Cha Eun Sang was flustered, even stopping her work. She stared blankly at Lee Yeong, clearly not having processed what happened. She wondered, "Is he filming a skit?" "Does he really like me?" "Should I accept him or reject him?"

Coming to her senses, Cha Eun Sang looked at the man who had just confessed to her, at his earnest and deep gaze. The words on her lips were slow to come out, eventually turning into a single phrase: "My name is... Cha Eun Sang..."

After saying her name, Cha Eun Sang's cheeks flushed. "Did I just accept him? Oh my god, will he think I'm too easy?" "Ah, Cha Eun Sang, what exactly are you thinking?" She quickly added, "I'm not accepting your confession, just... agreeing to be friends with you first."

She recalled their first meeting. It was this man, with a smile on his face, yet his eyes held a loneliness that shouldn't belong to someone his age... Perhaps from that moment, she had become curious about Lee Yeong, and curiosity is precisely the beginning of a relationship.

Sunny was also bewildered by Lee Yeong's roundabout confession, but she was quite optimistic about Lee Yeong. At least he wasn't like Wang Li, that straight man who was completely unmovable and could never be expected to confess proactively. Ji Eun-Tak, on the other hand, felt a bit envious of their budding relationship. At least Lee Yeong truly liked Cha Eun Sang, and Cha Eun Sang also had a good impression of Lee Yeong, unlike Kim Shin's capriciousness, which left her confused.

"Mm-hmm, I understand, thank you." Lee Yeong was very happy to receive her reply.

"To celebrate Cha Eun Sang and my new relationship... friendship, I'm treating today! Let's all eat together!" With a glare from Cha Eun Sang, Lee Yeong quickly corrected himself, and both of them laughed.

Soon after, the group sat together. Since it was almost closing time, Sunny simply locked the door. They chatted and laughed, eating fried chicken and barbecue, and their bond grew closer.

...

Meanwhile, at the Goblin's house, Kim Shin and Wang Li were both absentmindedly drinking beer.

Ever since confirming that Ji Eun-Tak was his bride, Kim Shin was filled with reluctance. He hadn't let go, hadn't found his sister. More importantly, he had truly fallen in love with Ji Eun-Tak. He wanted to be with her, even for a single day, yet he couldn't tell her the truth, fearing it would hurt her.

Hell Reaper Wang Li, ever since meeting Sunny, thought of her constantly. He didn't understand what feelings were, only that he wanted to see her. When Sunny chatted with other men, he would inexplicably feel jealous, even though he didn't even know what jealousy was...

"Aren't you going to let Eun Tak pull out your sword yet? Or do you not want her to pull out the sword anymore?" Wang Li looked at Kim Shin. Perhaps besides thinking of Sunny, all he had left was bickering with Kim Shin.

"How could that be? I've been thinking about it for over 900 years, okay?" Kim Shin would never admit it.

"You didn't tell her the consequences of pulling out the sword, did you?"

"...Mm, but how did you know?"

"So that's why you've been treating her that way lately? You've been so good to her, and she happily told me she's ready to pull out your sword, saying that you'd feel more comfortable and become even more handsome..."

The atmosphere became silent. In fact, through their time together, they had long become close friends. He didn't wish for Kim Shin to disappear. And Kim Shin wasn't ready to disappear yet; he needed to complete his final farewell...

...

The scene returns to Lee Yeong's side. Cha Eun Sang was still blushing, under constant attack from Sunny and Ji Eun-Tak. Fortunately, Lee Yeong helped her out, otherwise, she probably would have run away in embarrassment.

"So when are you going to formally confess again? That confession just now was too hasty, it didn't even have the most basic flowers!" Sunny stared at Lee Yeong with a mischievous smile and asked.

"Trust me, it won't be long. Eun Sang also needs time to process it! Once she's ready, I'll invite everyone to witness it!" Lee Yeong also knew that Cha Eun Sang couldn't accept it in a short time.

"Then we'll be waiting, Eun Sang, don't make us wait too long!" It was still Sunny.

...

After bidding farewell to Sunny and Ji Eun-Tak, Cha Eun Sang finally breathed a sigh of relief. She and Lee Yeong had just started dating at most, yet the two of them immediately started asking endless questions, and she had no idea how to answer.

"Let's go! I'll take you home. I hope I didn't scare you today, and thank you for not rejecting me."

"Actually, I just wasn't ready, who knew you..." Without the interference of others, Cha Eun Sang was no longer reserved. "With so many people, weren't you afraid I'd reject you directly?"

"Yes, why wouldn't I be afraid! But to pursue someone you like, would you give up just because you're scared?"

"Aren't you worried that if I rejected you in front of so many people, you'd lose face?" Cha Eun Sang looked at Lee Yeong with a mischievous smile.

Lee Yeong, however, said seriously, "I'm more worried that you'd agree to me because you're afraid I'd lose face. I don't care what others think, I only care about you!"

Eyes met, always in silence. Looking at Lee Yeong in front of her, Cha Eun Sang suppressed her emotions. At this moment, this man had finally walked into her heart. It wasn't a fantastical Cinderella dream, nor a Snow White's passionate kiss, but their love story had begun...

It wasn't until he watched Cha Eun Sang enter her rental home that Lee Yeong slowly started to leave, recalling everything that had happened today. From leaving Del luna Hotel to going to school, and then confessing at the fried chicken shop, he felt today was the most unforgettable day since his transmigration.

Suddenly, a commotion came from an alley by the roadside. Following the noise, he saw a woman in black being beaten to the ground by three thugs, who were constantly cursing. Although the woman was powerless to resist, their kicking and hitting did not stop until the woman was completely knocked unconscious...

"Who are you? Get lost, it's none of your business!" One of the thugs saw Lee Yeong approaching and said impolitely.

Lee Yeong ignored them and walked straight towards the woman lying on the ground. The three thugs, seeing that Lee Yeong not only left but dared to ignore them, certainly couldn't tolerate it and rushed directly at Lee Yeong.

"Living like this, I'd dirty my hands just by killing you." Lee Yeong didn't waste words with them. He swept his leg at the three rushing thugs, kicking them flying. Although Lee Yeong didn't kill them, with his strength, none of the three would be able to get out of bed for at least a month.

He checked the woman in black; there were mostly external injuries, and she was just unconscious. Without much hesitation, Lee Yeong picked up the woman and returned home. When he saw the woman's face, he understood her identity: Yoon Ji-woo. After witnessing her father being shot, she resolutely joined a gang and infiltrated the police force to find the killer and avenge her father, only to discover in the end that it was all a scam, and the killer was the gang leader...
