"Who are you?" Ye Chen asked cautiously.
"You need not be on guard, Master. I mean you no harm," the woman replied gently.
Despite her reassuring tone, Ye Chen remained alert. He couldn't sense her cultivation at all—meaning she was either unimaginably powerful or completely devoid of strength. Though she gave off no hostility, Ye Chen wasn't the type to let his guard down easily.
"I'll ask again—who exactly are you?" he said firmly.
The woman sighed and responded, "My name is Chu Yuechan. I am the guardian of this place."
"Then where are we?" Ye Chen asked, still confused.
"We are at the gate of the Fairy Realm," Chu Yuechan explained.
Her answer only deepened Ye Chen's confusion. "Fairy Realm? But I was just asleep in my bed a moment ago…" he thought silently, frowning.
"Fairy Yuechan, please explain in more detail," Ye Chen requested politely.
Chu Yuechan gently touched her forehead and shook her head with a slight smile. "Alright, I'll explain so you understand better."
"This place exists within the Fairy Gate—the artifact you currently possess," she said.
"You mean the iron object shaped like a gate?" Ye Chen asked.
"Exactly. What you thought was just a mysterious piece of metal is actually an extremely powerful artifact," she confirmed. "However, it hasn't recognized you as its master yet. To do that, you must offer a single drop of blood. Once you do, you will gain control over this realm."
Ye Chen was stunned. He never imagined that such a small, unassuming item held a secret of this magnitude.
"If I become the master of this place, what benefits will I gain?" he asked.
Chu Yuechan's eyes sparkled as she explained, "The benefits are extraordinary. As the master of the Fairy Gate, you will be able to enter and leave this place freely. You can also cultivate here whenever you wish. "The recognition is complete. From this moment on, you are the true master of the Fairy Gate," Chu Yuechan declared with a graceful bow. "I, Chu Yuechan, will serve you from now on."
"May I call you Yuechan from now on?" Ye Chen asked with a smile.
"As long as you desire it, Master—you may call me anything you wish," she replied.
"Please don't call me 'Master'—I'm not used to that. Just call me Ye Chen," he said.
"Very well, Ye Chen," Chu Yuechan nodded.
She then proceeded to explain more about the Fairy Gate in detail. The realm could only be accessed by Ye Chen and women who had shared a dual cultivation bond with him. There were also three keys that could grant others access, but only with Ye Chen's direct permission.
