Seraphina's POV
I was so angry I could barely see straight. My breathing was harsh and ragged as I stomped back toward our bedroom.
Stupid Adrian. Stupid possessive werewolf alpha nonsense. Stupid mate bond that made everything ten times more complicated than it needed to be.
I cursed him the best I could, with every dirty name or curse I could think of. Suddenly, the world tilted. Before I could process what was happening, a strong arm wrapped around my waist, and my entire world flipped upside down.
Literally.
"Ahhhh!!" I screamed hard.
My eyes went wide as I realized in absolute horror that Adrian had picked me up and thrown me over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
"Adrian!" I shrieked, beating my fists against his back. "You asshole! You bastard! Let me go! Put me down right now!"
But he didn't respond and just kept marching down the hallway with long, angry strides while I hung upside down over his shoulder like some kind of caveman's prize.
