Seraphina's POV
I froze.
My entire body went rigid as I stared at him.
The warm look in his eyes was gone, replaced by that familiar, cold, unreadable expression. The soft smile, the gentle warmth—all of it had vanished. In its place was that icy mask I knew too well.
"A... Adrian?" My voice came out barely above a whisper.
He nodded once, his jaw tight.
Oh God. Oh God. Oh God.
This couldn't be happening.
Horror crashed over me like a wave. I was sitting on his lap with my legs spread on either side of him, my chest heaving, completely exposed. His hands were still on my waist, my bare skin where my dress had ridden up.
Heat flooded my face—the bad kind.
"I—I..."
Suddenly, I realized what was happening. Adrian had experienced everything. The kiss. The touches. All of it. He'd felt it all through Blake's body.
My stomach dropped.
"You..." I couldn't finish the sentence. My brain wouldn't work.
