Monica's POV
Following my parents' departure to Bellwood, I expressed to Morris my desire to see Jasper at the hospital. He wasn't particularly pleased with the idea, insisting I needed to rest, but I countered that the wheelchair would minimize any physical strain. Morris accompanied me, and though brief, the visit with Jasper and his mother lifted my spirits.
Taking advantage of being out already, I attempted to persuade my husband to let me visit the mall. We still needed several items for our babies, and I desperately needed a change of scenery. Morris seemed reluctant, especially since work prevented him from joining me, but I assured him I'd be perfectly safe with the security detail and my friends.
"Please, Morris," I implored with my best puppy-dog eyes. "I'm going stir-crazy cooped up at home all day with nothing to do."
