Monica's POV
Sleep had become a luxury I couldn't afford since discovering Morris's betrayal. The revelation that he'd been with that insufferable Vicky Murphy while simultaneously begging for my forgiveness had gutted me. Each night ended the same way—tears streaming down my face until exhaustion finally claimed me. My emotional reserves were depleted, leaving me a hollow shell going through the motions.
Tuesday morning found me at my desk, barely present as Lily animatedly described her brother's bar to our perpetually cheerful boss.
"Sebastian, I'm telling you, your wife will absolutely fall in love with Colby's place," Lily gushed, her hands moving expressively. "The atmosphere is incredible, and the music selection is always on point."
Sebastian's face lit up with interest. "From everything you've described, I think Monica might never want to leave. She's been complaining about our boring weekend routines."
