Morris's POV
This had to be a nightmare. Where in God's name did those three witches materialize from? Just when things were looking up with Monica, when I could see forgiveness in her eyes, that she-devil Vicky Murphy had to appear and destroy everything with her venomous lies.
As if their unwelcome appearance wasn't bad enough, Vicky Murphy had the audacity to announce we'd shared "a night of love" on my couch. What a joke! I'd been completely blackout drunk, incapable of remembering a single moment. But how could I make Monica believe that? In her eyes, I was already guilty, my fate sealed by those poisonous words.
The second our girls turned away, Darren, Grady, and I exchanged desperate glances before leaping to our feet, practically shoving those clingy women aside in our haste.
"Ow! Morris, baby, what was that for?" Vicky Murphy wailed dramatically from her new position on the floor. "Help me up, sweetie!"
