MY WHOLE CLASS ISEKAI'D TO A XIANXIA? GOOD THING I CAN DO MIND-READINGC49 A Little Payback
Feng Fan feigned ignorance and continued.
"Brother Tan Wei, can you tell me more about this story? And I'm curious about the Blue Dragon and Blue Wyvern sects she mentioned earlier."
Both Tan Wei and Bai Tao froze for a moment, exchanging incredulous looks.
"You... Are you really a disciple of the White Crow Sect? How do you not know about those sects?" Bai Tao asked, his voice filled with disbelief.
Feng Fan quickly explained his situation, sharing that he had come from Earth less than a month ago and had spent most of his time within the White Crow Sect, leaving him unfamiliar with the broader cultivation world.
Bai Tao nodded slowly. "Ah, that explains why you're so clueless. Let me fill you in. Are you aware of the dire situation facing the White Crow Sect if they fail to win the Qian Empire's young generation competition a year from now?"
Feng Fan nodded. "Elder Jiang explained it briefly."
"Good. Here's what you need to know," Bai Tao continued. "A few hundred years ago, the White Crow Sect and the Blue Dragon Sect were two of the strongest middle-tier sects in the Qian Empire. But as the White Crow Sect failed to produce geniuses and kept losing the young generation competition, it began to decline. Without access to enough spiritual qi stone supplies, they weakened. Meanwhile, the Blue Dragon Sect grew stronger and eventually became a top-tier sect. You could say they're largely responsible for the White Crow Sect's downfall."
Feng Fan raised an eyebrow. "Why?"
Bai Tao's expression darkened. "The Blue Dragon Sect has been systematically targeting White Crow disciples in competitions and ruin explorations. They've been killing off their geniuses, leaving the sect without strong cultivators for the young generation competition."
"Why didn't the White Crow Sect retaliate?" Feng Fan asked, frowning.
"It's not that simple," Bai Tao replied with a sigh. "These battles are restricted to the younger generation. If the elders or senior members got involved, it would escalate into a full-scale war between sects, and no one wants that level of destruction. The elders couldn't stop sending the younger generation outside, as they knew well that smooth seas never made a skilled sailor."
He continued, "The Blue Wyvern Sect, on the other hand, is a vassal of the Blue Dragon Sect. They were once a low-tier sect, but with the Blue Dragon Sect's rise, they gained more strength as well. Families like the Wen and Huang families have aligned themselves with them. My Bai family, however, has aligned with the White Crow Sect, though in the grand scheme of things, none of these families hold significant power. The strongest among them are only Nascent Soul cultivators."
Feng Fan absorbed the information carefully.
"What about you, Brother Tan Wei? How did you end up engaged to that vixen?" Feng Fan asked.
Tan Wei's expression darkened, his anger evident. "Our families used to have strong ties. My grandfather once saved her grandfather's life, and as a token of gratitude, he promised his granddaughter in marriage to his grandson. Unfortunately, her grandfather passed away, and now the Wen family, including Wen Xue, no longer want to honor the arrangement, especially after I lost my cultivation."
Feng Fan smiled encouragingly. "Brother Tan Wei, since you were once a strong cultivator, I have no doubt you can regain your strength. Why don't you consider joining the White Crow Sect? Brother Bai is already there, and I'm sure it would be a good fit for you."
Tan Wei blinked in surprise at the unexpected offer. "Brother Fan, I appreciate the thought, but the White Crow Sect would never accept someone like me, a twenty-year-old stuck at the 1st Qi Gathering realm."
Feng Fan waved his hand dismissively. "Brother Tan, in this world, connections matter more than anything else! Since I'm personally recommending you, of course, you'll be accepted."
Both Tan Wei and Bai Tao stared at him in shock. 'What kind of status does this guy have?' they wondered.
Feng Fan chuckled confidently. "Relax. Elder Jiang and I are good friends. All you need to do is agree, and you'll become one of us!"
Unbeknownst to them, Feng Fan wasn't just acting out of kindness. He had no intention of missing the chance to recruit a protagonist-like figure for the White Crow Sect. Now that he was part of the sect, he was determined to elevate it to the top!
Tan Wei cupped his hands respectfully. "Since Brother Feng believes in me, I'll accept your offer. Thank you, Brother Feng. I promise not to let you down."
Feng Fan chuckled, waving off the formality. "I'm sure you won't."
As the conversation ended, a sudden voice echoed in Tan Wei's mind.
'This Feng Fan is not simple…'
Tan Wei stiffened, his eyes darting around instinctively.
'Relax, kid. I'm Lai Hu, a soul trapped inside your pendant. I apologize for draining your cultivation before. It was necessary to awaken me. But don't worry, everything you lost will be repaid, with interest!'
Tan Wei's surprise turned to curiosity. 'A soul? Inside my pendant? How did you end up here?'
'Heh. I was once the greatest alchemist in the Immortal World. Ambushed and betrayed, my body was destroyed, but my soul survived. I fled into this pendant to preserve my essence. With my guidance, you'll not only regain your strength but surpass anything you could have imagined. Soon, this small city will tremble at your feet.'
Tan Wei's resolve hardened, his eyes glinting with determination. 'Alright, I'll trust you. Let's do this!'
Nearby, Feng Fan's lips curled into a sly grin. Having overheard the mental exchange, he couldn't suppress his amusement. 'Ah, the protagonist's cheat item has finally awakened. This is getting more and more interesting.'
Feng Fan's grin widened as a mischievous thought crossed his mind.
"Since we already have enemies with all of them, why not take the opportunity to get a little payback now? What do you think, brothers?"
Bai Tao and Tan Wei exchanged curious glances, unsure of what Feng Fan had in mind.
"What kind of payback are you talking about, Brother Feng?" Tan Wei asked.
Feng Fan leaned in, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper.
"Well, let's do it like this..."

MY WHOLE CLASS ISEKAI'D TO A XIANXIA? GOOD THING I CAN DO MIND-READINGC50 Teaching The Mutt a Lesson on The Owner's Behalf
On the same night, three hooded figures moved silently along the perimeter of the Huang manor. Their robes obscured their identities, and two of them wore peculiar glasses-like artifacts that glimmered faintly under the moonlight.
Two of the figures carried two large bags each, stuffed to the brim.
"Brother Feng, are you absolutely sure about this? If we get caught, we'll be in serious trouble," whispered Tan Wei, his voice filled with apprehension.
Under his hood, Feng Fan smirked. "Don't worry. Sometimes, you have to take risks to reap the rewards. No risk, no gain, right?"
Before Tan Wei or Bai Tao could protest further, Feng Fan took action.
Activating his spiritual qi vision, he scanned the protective array encircling the Huang manor.
'This array is far inferior to the White Crow Sect's protective barrier. There are plenty of flaws to exploit, and it seems to function mainly as an alarm system.'
Without hesitation, Feng Fan concentrated qi at his fingertip. With precision, he made subtle modifications to the array, just enough to create a gap for him to slip through without triggering the alarm.
"Alright, I'm heading in. You both know the plan," Feng Fan said in a low voice.
Tan Wei and Bai Tao exchanged determined glances before nodding. They activated their glasses-like artifacts, their lenses glowing faintly as they prepared for their roles in the daring scheme.
Feng Fan slipped into the Huang manor, his movements swift and composed.
As he darted around the grounds, he left behind overlapping arrays in strategic locations.
Each array served a specific purpose: one gathered water, another generated heat, and the third cooled the vapor.
In less than half an hour, his work was complete. He inspected his handiwork with satisfaction before turning his attention to the main gate. Carefully, he scanned the area for any additional protective arrays that might complicate his plan.
Satisfied that everything was in place, Feng Fan raised his hand, channeling qi to his fingers. With a sharp gesture, he activated all the arrays simultaneously.
In less than half a minute, water vapor filled the entire manor. The cooling array quickly condensed the vapor into fine water particles, creating a dense, impenetrable fog that blanketed everything.
The fog seeped into the main mansion, enveloping almost every room in a thick, ghostly mist.
Seeing his plan unfold perfectly, Feng Fan dashed through the main gate. With his spiritual qi vision activated, he easily navigated the fog, spotting obstacles and paths clearly.
He searched for the area with the densest concentration of spiritual qi and quickly located it near the center of the mansion.
"Got it!" he muttered under his hood, a smirk forming on his face.
Swiftly, he maneuvered through the mansion's corridors, carefully avoiding any powerful auras he sensed. To him, those auras were clear indicators of strong cultivators, and he had no intention of crossing paths with them.
Feng Fan soon stood before a sturdy metal door. Each corner was guarded by an alarm array, and instead of a traditional keyhole, an intricate locking array was in place.
He quickly disabled the alarm arrays with precise movements before turning his attention to the lock array.
'This one's a bit tricky, but nothing I can't handle,' he thought confidently.
While Feng Fan meticulously analyzed the lock array, Tan Wei and Bai Tao were already enacting their part of the plan: causing chaos.
Following the same path Feng Fan had taken, they scattered firecrackers throughout the manor and ignited them.
Boom! Boom!
The explosions echoed loudly, jolting the occupants awake. However, the dense fog inside the manor left everyone disoriented.
Some of the more powerful cultivators attempted to dispel the fog with spells, but the mist was so thick that even when pushed back, it quickly enveloped them again. At best, they could see only one or two meters ahead, and even that was a struggle.
Thud!
"Ah, sorry!"
"W-What's going on?!"
The confusion only worsened as people stumbled or collided in the dense fog. Chaos spread like wildfire across the manor.
"Quick! Call the elders! Someone's attacking the manor!" someone shouted in panic.
"Who dares to attack my Huang family manor?! I'll destroy their entire clan!"
The elders sprang into action, their voices booming with authority, but even they struggled to grasp the situation. The dense fog obscured their vision, and the deafening sound of explosions left them disoriented.
Following the noise, they rushed out of the mansion, attempting to locate the source of the chaos.
Unfortunately for them, this was exactly what Feng Fan had anticipated. With their focus diverted and their vision impaired, Feng Fan had the perfect opportunity to raid their resources. Continue reading at empire
Hearing the elders approaching, Tan Wei and Bai Tao realized their task was complete. Without hesitation, they retreated through the same path they had used to infiltrate the manor.
"I hope Feng Fan knows what he's doing. This madman is playing with fire! If he's caught, his life will be over," Bai Tao muttered as they raced toward the agreed-upon meeting point.
"Don't worry. He should know what he's doing…" Tan Wei replied, though doubt lingered in his mind.
Deep down, Tan Wei questioned the insanity of this plan. Only a lunatic would dare infiltrate the heavily guarded Huang manor with just three Qi Gathering realm cultivators.
Still, there was one reason he clung to a shred of hope: the words of Lai Hu, a powerful immortal trapped within his pendant.
'This Feng Fan is not simple,' Lai Hu had said.
As Tan Wei and Bai Tao successfully made their escape, Feng Fan finally completed his work on the lock array.
"Success!" he muttered under his breath, a triumphant smirk forming on his face.
He carefully pushed the heavy metal door open. The dense fog quickly seeped into the chamber, obscuring his view of its contents. However, the overwhelming density of spiritual qi within the room confirmed his suspicions: it was filled with spiritual qi stones and heavenly treasures.
Without hesitation, Feng Fan activated his space ring, swiftly storing everything he could find. His heart raced with excitement as his plan unfolded perfectly.
But just as he turned to make his escape, he felt a familiar aura approaching.
'Huang Chao… Wen Xue's loyal dog.' Feng Fan's eyes narrowed as his lips curled into a sly grin.
'Since I'm already here, I might as well teach this mutt a lesson on behalf of his owner,' he thought, quickly altering his route.
Instead of heading toward the mansion's side door, he veered toward a nearby room.
Feng Fan spotted Huang Chao struggling to get up after tripping over something.
'What perfect timing!'
A mischievous grin spread across Feng Fan's face as he swiftly moved behind Huang Chao.
Clasping his hands together, he extended his index and middle fingers, keeping them tightly pressed as he aimed at Huang Chao's exposed back.
Snake Entering the Cave!
Without a moment's hesitation, Feng Fan struck. His attack pierced through the fabric of Huang Chao's pants with ruthless precision.
"ARRRGHHHH!"
A blood-curdling scream erupted from Huang Chao as the unexpected pain shot through him. Startled, he lurched forward uncontrollably, slamming headfirst into the wall with a loud thud.
'Mission accomplished. Time to disappear!'
Without wasting a second, Feng Fan scanned the room and felt an air current coming from an open window. He darted toward it, leaping through with agility and disappearing into the night.

"Quickly, to Young Master Chao's room! The scream came from there!"
The commotion drew the attention of everyone nearby. Cultivators from the Huang family rushed toward the room, surrounding it from both inside and outside the mansion.
Feng Fan found himself encircled, but he didn't panic. His sharp senses quickly identified the weakest aura among his pursuers.
'Target locked.'
A 4th Qi Gathering realm cultivator was sprinting toward him, oblivious to the impending danger.
Feng Fan's eyes glinted coldly. He wouldn't show mercy. As the unsuspecting disciple approached, Feng Fan launched a precise upward kick with devastating force.
Family Jewel Destroyer Kick!
The unfortunate man's most sensitive parts collided violently with Feng Fan's foot. His eyes widened in shock as a searing, unbearable pain radiated through his entire body.
"ARGHHHHH!"
His agonized scream pierced through the dense fog, drawing all attention toward him.
"The sound came from over there! Quickly, don't let the intruder get away!" shouted one of the Huang family elders.
After knocking the man down, Feng Fan didn't stop for a moment. He kept running, changing direction several times to evade his pursuers.
'Thank god these guys are chasing blindly, or else I'd be in trouble,' he thought.
He soon reached the Huang family's alarm barrier.
As he had done before, he tampered with the alarm, creating a small opening that allowed him to pass through undetected.
With that, he continued toward the agreed-upon meeting point, where he was supposed to meet Tan Wei and Bai Tao.
Inside a small wooden house on the outskirts of Cloudveil City, owned by the Bai family, two men anxiously waited.
One of them, Bai Tao, paced back and forth, unable to stop moving.
"Damn it, where is Feng Fan? Could it be... he was caught?" he muttered.
Tan Wei, seeing his friend's nervousness, tried to calm him down.
"Let's trust him, Brother Tao. I'm sure he'll be here soon..."
Bang!
Before Tan Wei could finish, the sound of a door slamming against the wall echoed through the room.
A figure appeared in the doorway—it was Feng Fan, grinning at them.
"Have you two missed me? Don't worry, I'm here!" Feng Fan said as he stepped inside the house.
"Feng Fan!" They both said in unison.
"So, how did it go? Did you manage to steal their storage?" Bai Tao asked, his eyes widening as he saw Feng Fan's casual smile.
"Of course! Who do you think I am?" Feng Fan replied, activating his space ring and placing everything he had taken from the Huang family's storage on the ground for them to see.
Tan Wei and Bai Tao beamed with happiness.
"Hahaha! Good job, Brother! You really did it! When the Huangs realize all their treasures are gone, they'll be furious!" Bai Tao said excitedly.
Bai Tao was also excited. The Wens and Huangs were rivals of his Bai family. Seeing the Huang family suffer, how could he not be happy?
"Calm down, brothers. The night is young, and it's far from over!"
After Feng Fan said that, he returned the treasures to his ring.
Tan Wei and Bai Tao looked at him with puzzled expressions.
"What do you mean, Brother Feng?" asked Tan Wei.
"It means we still have something to do, of course. We only stole from Huang Chao, but we haven't repaid the Wen family for their favor. We should strike while the iron is hot. Let's rob them clean!" Feng Fan replied with a grin.
Bai Tao and Tan Wei smiled in response.
—
The next day, news spread like wildfire on a dry forest through Cloudveil City.
The Wens and Huangs had been robbed clean! The invaders infiltrated their manors unnoticed and stole their treasures right under their noses!
Although the families tried to keep the news quiet, it was impossible to hide something like that. The gossip couldn't be stopped, and by lunchtime, everyone in the city had already heard about the events that unfolded the previous night.
Bai Tao sat at a large table, with Tan Wei and Feng Fan beside him. At the head of the table sat a middle-aged man with a muscular build who looked very similar to Bai Tao.
This was Bai Tao's father, the city lord, Bai Cai.
He grinned widely as he received the news;
"Hahaha! You boys are unbelievable! I can't believe you managed to pull that off right under their noses. I'm proud—too proud!" he boomed with hearty laughter.
Bai Tao smiled in response. "Father, it was all thanks to Senior Brother Feng. The plan was his, and he also took on the most dangerous part."
Bai Cai looked at Feng Fan with appreciation. "I heard you're from Earth and came to Red Pole about a month ago, right?"
Feng Fan nodded. This wasn't a secret.
"Incredible. You came from a peaceful world and yet managed to rob an ancient family with deep roots in Cloudveil City right under their noses. Lad, you have a bright future ahead of you!"
"Thanks, Senior. It was nothing special. I wouldn't have been able to do it without the help of Junior Brothers Tan and Bai," said Feng Fan humbly.
"Haha, Bai Tao really found himself a pair of good friends. You even divided the spoils equally. As enemies, you're fearsome, but as friends, you're loyal. Very good!"
Feng Fan smiled. After taking everything from the Wen and Huang families, he divided the spoils equally between the three of them. He wanted to strengthen their bond and wasn't concerned about losing some resources.

'Too bad Wen Xue wasn't in the mansion. Otherwise, I could have taken her butt virginity the same way I did with her dog...'
"Thank you for your hospitality, Senior. I must take my leave now. The pocket dimension should be opening soon, and if Elder Peng arrives at the inn and I'm not there, I might miss the chance to strike it rich."
Bai Cai smiled. "You've already stolen all the resources of two families, and you're still thinking about more? Haha, go ahead. I hope to see you later, boy."
"Junior Brother Bai, when you get back to the sect, bring Brother Tan along with you," said Feng Fan.
He bid his farewells to Tan Wei and Bai Tao before heading to the inn where Huang Xue and Xue Qiang stayed.

Feng Fan strolled leisurely along the cobblestone streets of Cloudveil, whistling a cheerful tune.
'Happiness comes from the little things in life. Robbing my enemies clean is definitely one of those,' he thought with a smirk.
Before long, he reached the inn, but just as he was about to step inside, he spotted Elder Peng standing near the entrance, his face etched with impatience.
Behind the elder, Xue Qiang and Huang Xue stood quietly, their gazes fixed on Feng Fan with a mix of curiosity and intrigue.
"Little rascal, where have you been?" Elder Peng asked, his tone carrying a hint of suspicion.
Feng Fan put on an apologetic expression. "Sorry, Elder Peng. I was catching up with some friends. Is the pocket dimension opening soon?"
"Oh? Were these friends of yours, by any chance, the ones who helped invade the Huang and Wen family manors?" Elder Peng's eyes narrowed slightly.
Feng Fan feigned shock, his eyebrows shooting up in mock surprise. "What? The Huang and Wen family manors were invaded? This thief must be caught at all costs!"
Elder Peng gave him a knowing look, his lips curling into a wry smile. "Yeah… Quite a coincidence that the methods used in the heist involved arrays strikingly similar to the ones you demonstrated to me recently, wouldn't you say?"
Feng Fan nodded enthusiastically, keeping his expression as earnest as possible. "Absolutely, Elder Peng! I, Feng Fan, am a man of honor. I would never do anything to tarnish the White Crow Sect's reputation."
Elder Peng snorted softly but chose not to press the matter further.
'This kid is as shameless as he is bold. With his pitiful cultivation level, he dared to infiltrate their manors and still managed to escape unscathed… Not bad!'
"Let's move. The pocket dimension is opening soon, and the other participants should be arriving shortly," Elder Peng said, his tone signaling the end of the conversation.
Instead of summoning the bluebird, he channeled his spiritual qi, enveloping everyone in a protective aura. With a slight wave of his hand, Elder Peng levitated the group, carrying them effortlessly toward their destination.
Feng Fan felt the qi wrap around him. He didn't resist and, within minutes, they had left Cloudveil City behind, arriving at a spacious clearing filled with over three hundred people.
Feng Fan scanned the crowd. Most groups consisted of an elder, whose cultivation Feng Fan couldn't tell, and one or two participants, all in the Qi Gathering realm.
However, his gaze soon landed on a notably larger group. Members of this group wore white robes adorned with a blue dragon emblem.
"Blue Dragon Sect," Feng Fan muttered under his breath.
Accompanying this group were two Qi Gathering realm cultivators standing beside an elder, their robes bearing the emblem of a blue wyvern rather than a blue dragon.
Feng Fan's smirk widened when he recognized them. Wen Xue and Huang Chao.
Wen Xue's expression was cold and distant, but Huang Chao's discomfort was obvious. His movements were stiff, and he occasionally winced, his face betraying his physical pain.
Feng Fan couldn't help but grin. His gaze lingered on Huang Chao for a moment, savoring the satisfaction of his handiwork from the previous night.
'Perfectly executed,' he thought to himself.
The elder from the Blue Dragon Sect noticed the White Crow Sect's arrival and subtly signaled the Blue Wyvern Elder with a glance.
Picking up on the cue, the Blue Wyvern Elder strode toward Elder Peng, with Wen Xue and Huang Chao trailing close behind.
"Well, well, if it isn't Elder Peng," He said mockingly, a smirk tugging at his lips. "I knew your sect was in decline, but bringing such weaklings? A 3rd-stage and two 5th-stage Qi Gathering cultivators? Truly pitiful."
Elder Peng's expression darkened with anger. "Tan Lei, what does the business of my White Crow Sect have to do with you?"
Tan Lei let out a wry laugh. "I'm merely concerned for your sect's well-being. With such fragile strength, it'd be a shame if they didn't make it back alive, especially with the young generation competition on the horizon. Wouldn't want to lose what little hope your sect has left."
Before Elder Peng could respond, Feng Fan chimed in, his voice laced with mockery.
"What's this? The master didn't have the guts to show up, so he sent his dog to do the barking?"
Feng Fan's gaze wasn't even on Tan Lei. Instead, he stared intently at the Blue Dragon Sect's group, his expression fearless.
The surrounding crowd began to murmur with interest, their curiosity piqued by the escalating tension. Many seemed entertained, eager to see how the drama would unfold.
"Y-You bastard! Who are you calling a dog?" Tan Lei shouted, his face red with anger.
Feng Fan turned to him, feigning a look of surprise. "Oh? Did you say something? Sorry, I don't understand dog language. Could you speak in human, please?"
The insult sent a wave of laughter through the crowd, but Tan Lei's fury only deepened.
As a powerful elder, being ridiculed by a mere Qi Gathering cultivator was unbearable. If not for the rules and witnesses, he might have killed Feng Fan on the spot.
Grinding his teeth, Tan Lei forced a smirk. "Hah, just a weakling at the 3rd stage. Let's see how long you last in the pocket dimension. I doubt you'll make it out alive."
Feng Fan responded with a hearty laugh. "Oh? And who's going to kill me? That disciple behind you?"
He pointed at Huang Chao, who was standing awkwardly.
"This guy can't even stand straight. Look at him, his butt seems to be hurting. Who knows what kind of indescribable things he got up to last night?"
The crowd erupted into snickers and whispers, while Huang Chao's face turned as red as a ripe tomato. His fists clenched, and his entire body trembled with humiliation and rage.
Sensing the situation turning unfavorable, the Blue Dragon Sect's elder stepped forward with a composed expression.
"Oh? Since you seem so confident in your abilities, how about we make a little wager?" he said, his tone calm but provocative.

Feng Fan's curiosity was piqued by the elder's proposition. "A wager, you say? Alright, what kind of wager are we talking about?"
The Blue Dragon Sect elder smirked, summoning a striking black-and-red spear from his space ring. "A simple competition. You and my strongest disciple will enter the pocket dimension. Whoever emerges with the most quantity of treasures wins. My wager is this low-tier Spiritual spear."
The spear gleamed under the sunlight, its aura commanding the attention of everyone around.
Feng Fan didn't respond immediately. Instead, he turned to Xue Qiang with a casual tone. "Qinqin, what's the grade of your spear?"
Caught off guard by the sudden question, Xue Qiang blinked but quickly answered, "High common grade."
Feng Fan nodded thoughtfully before facing the elder again. "Alright, we accept your wager. I don't have much on hand, but I did pick up some useless trinkets off the street last night. If we pool them together, they should match the value of your spear, don't you think?"
With that, Feng Fan summoned an impressive array of treasures and low spiritual qi stones from his space ring, laying them out for everyone to see. The onlookers gasped as the collection—clearly the wealth of the Huang and Wen families—sparkled in the light.
The display lasted only a moment before Feng Fan calmly returned the treasures to his ring, his expression indifferent, as if he hadn't just flaunted a fortune.
Wen Xue and Huang Chao were visibly shaken by the sight of the stolen treasures. Wen Xue, aware of her position, bit back her words, suppressing the urge to react.
Huang Chao, however, lacked her restraint. Still seething over the humiliation he suffered the previous night, his fury boiled over.
"You… You're the damn thief! I'll kill you!" he roared, lunging forward with his fist aimed at Feng Fan.
Feng Fan remained unfazed, a sly smirk playing on his lips. 'What an idiot.'
But before Huang Chao could land his strike, a suffocating pressure descended upon him. It was as if an invisible force crushed him to the ground, slamming him down with a resounding thud.
"What do you think you're doing?" Elder Peng's voice was cold and commanding. "Do you think I don't exist? If you want to fight, save it for the pocket dimension."
The weight of Elder Peng's authority left Huang Chao trembling, pinned under the elder's qi like a disobedient dog.
The Blue Dragon Sect elder glanced at Huang Chao with visible displeasure.
'This brat is utterly useless, losing his composure so easily.'
Despite his annoyance, he used his spiritual qi to dispel Elder Peng's pressure from Huang Chao, allowing him to rise.
Tan Lei, sensing the tension, quickly intervened, dragging Huang Chao back. "My apologies, Elder Shi Fan. This won't happen again."
Shi Fan gave a curt nod before redirecting his attention to Feng Fan.
"Very well," Shi Fan said, his tone neutral. "I'll accept what you've shown as the wager."
"And how will we determine who collects the most treasures?"
Shi Fan pulled two bracelets from his space ring and displayed them. "These bracelets will measure the spiritual qi energy in each treasure you collect and show the points in real-time. Of course, if a treasure is stolen, points will be deducted. What do you think?"
Feng Fan raised an eyebrow. "Alright, but let me first check if you've tampered with them. Who knows what underhanded tricks you might use to secure a victory."
Shi Fan's eyes narrowed in anger. "You dare accuse my Blue Dragon Sect of dishonesty?"
'Of course they aren't. Do I even need to tamper with them to win? You brat,' thought Shi Fan.
Feng Fan didn't respond, instead smiling and extending his hand toward Shi Fan, waiting for him to hand over both bracelets for verification.
Of course, Feng Fan was reading his mind and knew they hadn't been tampered with, but he wouldn't pass up an opportunity to humiliate the Blue Dragon Sect.
Since they were already enemies, there was no need to be polite!
Shi Fan snorted but handed the bracelets over to Feng Fan.
Feng Fan passed them to Elder Peng, who verified them before returning them.
"They're fine," said Elder Peng.
"Perfect," Feng Fan said, turning to Xue Qiang.
"Qinqing, wait for me to give you a gift. I'm sure you'll like it!"
Xue Qiang smiled. "Thanks, Feng Fan."
Huang Xue watched this with a hint of jealousy, but then she recalled the gift Feng Fan had given her the day before. She touched the pendant around her neck and felt better.
Shi Fan, enraged by the blatant disrespect, sneered. "Do you really think you can win with your pathetic strength? Let's see if you even make it out of this alive!"
"Listen, everyone," Shi Fan called out. "Whoever brings me this kid's head will be rewarded with the Spiritual spear I just showed."
The crowd gasped. For Qi Gathering cultivators from low and mid-level sects, such a treasure would be considered a family heirloom!
'This Shi Fan is too sinister!' thought Feng Fan.
Elder Peng, Huang Xue, and Xue Qiang looked at him with worried expressions.
Feng Fan noticed their concern and flashed a reassuring smile.
"Don't worry, I'm not so easy to kill," he said confidently.
He then turned his attention to the disciples behind Shi Fan. "Who among you is going to be my stepping stone?"
Stay tuned to empire
The disciples frowned but remained silent in response to his provocation.
"Zheng Huang, come here," said Shi Fan.
A disciple with short hair and a muscular build stepped forward and cupped his hands respectfully. "Elder Shi."
A strong 9th Qi Gathering realm pressure emanated from him.
Shi Fan handed him the bracelet. "You'll teach this brat a lesson he won't forget."
Zheng Huang took the bracelet, slipped it onto his right arm, and flashed an evil smile at Feng Fan. "Don't worry, this brat won't leave the pocket dimension alive."
Shi Fan tossed the other bracelet to Feng Fan.
Feng Fan caught it and strapped it onto his right arm before saying with a fake warm smile.
"Thanks for the hospitality. I'll make sure to take good care of your disciples inside."
