AWAKENING THE ONLY SSS-RANK CLASS! NOW EVEN DRAGONS OBEY MEC499: Bloody Peaks

Chapter 499: Bloody Peaks

"Did you really make this crack?" Drael asked as they started walking toward the mountain range, his eyes fixed on the massive rift beside them. He swallowed hard.

The crack was so huge it almost looked like a canyon, stretching all the way toward the mountains. The amount of power needed to create something like that was beyond his comprehension.

"I guess so," Daniel replied indifferently.

Hearing his confirmation, Drael swallowed again in fear. He knew this young man beside him was powerful, but not this powerful.

If someone like Daniel existed, then killing even Divine Climbers might actually be possible, right?

He was now even more convinced that befriending Daniel had been a very good decision. With him around, he probably wouldn't have to worry about his safety on this floor anymore.

After all, if this floor didn't have the "Hell" difficulty level, there'd be no reason to be afraid. Unfortunately, the floor they were on was indeed Hell difficulty, and death here meant real death.

Before long, they finally reached the base of the mountain range. A dirt road led upward, winding along the rocky slopes. A spiral path could be seen going through the mountains.

If they wanted to cross this range, the spiral path was their best option. Flying was possible, but the mountain range was huge, and doing so would consume a massive amount of mana.

That powerful strike Daniel used to create the crack had drained a lot of his mana, and because of how dense the mana in this area was, it would take a long time for it to fully recover.

He didn't want to waste his remaining mana on flying, it was better to keep it for emergencies.

"We'll go on foot for now. If we have to, we'll fly," he said after deciding.

"Got it, but if we walk, it might take quite a while," Drael reasoned.

"We don't have much choice. We'll keep walking until night, find a place to rest, recover our mana, and tomorrow we can fly out faster."

"That's a good idea! Let's do that then."

They started moving up the dirt road toward the top. The slope was steep, but with their endurance and physical strength, climbing it wasn't too difficult.

The sun had already set, replaced by the pale light of the moon. The air grew colder, so cold that even they could feel its bite.

The higher they climbed, the colder and windier it became. The gusts were so strong they could almost knock them off balance.

Looking down from that height, they knew that if they fell, they'd have no choice but to use flight, or they'd be crushed to pieces.

The wind howled through the gaps in the rocky mountains, carrying with it sounds that resembled wailing and horror.

Even stranger, Daniel felt like someone was calling out to him. He mentioned it to Drael, but the latter said he didn't hear anything other than the wind's eerie cries.

At first, Daniel thought he was imagining it, but then he heard it again, someone calling his name.

Still, he decided to ignore it for now. The last thing he needed in this situation was to get involved in another problem.

"There's a cave over there!" Drael suddenly said with excitement after spotting something in the distance.

"To reach it, we'll have to go halfway through the spiral path," Daniel said. He could see the cave too, but it was on the other side of the mountain.

"Better than nothing. If there's no monster inside, it'll be a good place to recover our mana."

After agreeing, they decided to head for the cave. And even if a monster was there, they'd just have to kill it.

However, the moment they stepped onto the spiral path, both of them noticed something strange about the peaks around them.

The mountain tops were completely bloody, not stained, but covered in blood. From the peaks, red liquid flowed down, painting the rocks below.

Daniel walked over to one of the stones and tested the liquid. It was real blood.

But where had this much blood come from? How could there be enough to cover entire mountain peaks? What was even stranger was that the blood was warm, fresh.

And yet, ever since they had entered the mountain range, they hadn't seen a single living creature. Fresh, warm blood made absolutely no sense.

Their eyes met, and a chilling wind made both of them shiver. Their instincts began to whisper that something about this place was deeply wrong.

Especially the wailing carried by the wind, it sounded like the cries of conscious beings in pain and agony.

It was as if countless people were being tortured, slaughtered, and screaming in fear, their voices carried toward them by the wind.

Without wasting time, the two of them continued toward the cave. The faster they reached it and recovered their mana, the better.

At least inside a cave, if something attacked, they'd have the advantage of cover and a more defensible position.

But on this massive spiral path, if something happened, it could be dangerous, especially for Drael, who was still recovering.

As soon as they entered the spiral path, Daniel heard the voices calling him again. This time, they were louder, and the words weren't meaningless murmurs anymore.

They were saying—run.

For some reason, he felt a deep sense of danger. But he forced himself to suppress it and kept walking.

At that same moment, more drops of blood fell from the mountain peaks, splattering over the large stones on the mountain road.

The blood spread quickly, covering the stones as if trying to consume them.

The massive rocks were soon soaked entirely in blood, then, suddenly, they began to tremble.

All of them.

Daniel and Drael, who had already entered the spiral path, couldn't see it, but if they had if they'd seen what was happening behind them they would've been utterly shocked.

Because those stones, which should've had no trace of life energy... now had it.

AWAKENING THE ONLY SSS-RANK CLASS! NOW EVEN DRAGONS OBEY MEC500: You Are The Real Monster

Chapter 500: You Are The Real Monster

The wind blew through the gaps of the peaks, dry and heavy, carrying the smell of rust and blood.

Sometimes, it even picked up droplets of blood that dripped down from the mountaintops, scattering them through the air.

Daniel and Drael carefully moved along the narrow path that cut through the rocks.

"I don't like this... and seriously, who built a path like this? Why the hell does it never end?" Drael muttered under his breath.

Daniel briefly glanced up at the jagged peaks above

.

The snow was red, not from the sunset, but from veins of blood flowing down from the summits, dripping across the rocks like a dried-up river.

At first, he hadn't even noticed the snow, it had looked like nothing but blood from a distance.

But now that they were closer, he could see it: the snow beneath the blood.

"We should be there soon. I checked with my spiritual senses, ten more minutes at most," he said, not looking back.

Drael nodded. He knew it wasn't far, but the atmosphere made his skin crawl. He wanted to say something to break the tension,

But Daniel clearly wanted to keep the silence, so Drael shut his mouth and kept walking.

Then suddenly, a droplet fell onto a rock beside Daniel's foot.

And the rock trembled.

"Hm?" He stopped for a moment.

Before he could say another word, the ground beneath them began to shake.

For some reason, both of them felt it, an overwhelming sense of danger.

The sound of stone cracking echoed from all directions, from the cliffs, from below the ground, from above the stone arch they were passing under.

The blood droplets on the rocks started to glow, dark red and black lines spreading across the surface like veins.

And then—the cracks opened.

From inside the rocks, creatures crawled out.

Monsters made of stone and clotted blood.

Their eyes glowed like molten lava, and ash, like smoke poured out of their mouths.

Some of them walked on four legs, with pillars of stone instead of arms.

Others had humanoid forms with rusted metal wings, broken and twisted.

"What the hell are these things?!" Drael shouted with wide eyes.

"I'd say... made of blood," Daniel replied dryly, his tone laced with sarcasm.

Apparently, that blood flowing from the peaks wasn't normal at all.

"..."

Before they could say anything else, one of the monsters leapt at them from behind.

Drael spun around as Daniel summoned his sword in an instant and swung, but the blade only sparked, doing no damage.

The creature roared, raising its massive stone arm.

A sharp sound cut through the air, Daniel's sword sliced through the air, leaving a white trail of light.

Before the creature's arm could come down, it vaporized into nothing.

"Stay behind me," Daniel said coldly, his tone firm.

He could already sense more of them coming from the distance.

He raised his sword, The Heavens Honor.

A dark aura of death rippled around the blade, and the air itself began to fracture like glass.

The monsters charged from all directions.

The sound of shattering rocks, explosions, and impact filled the air.

But Daniel was nothing more than a shadow slipping between them.

Every swing of his blade unleashed a wave of the Law of Death, draining color from the world.

Every creature it touched burned away like a candle in the wind, crumbling into ash.

Drael stumbled backward, struggling to keep his balance, until the ground beneath him cracked.

The ledge broke apart, and he fell toward the abyss below.

"Drael!"

Daniel frowned but didn't move to save him,not because he didn't care, but because he couldn't.

He was surrounded, and besides, Drael wasn't helpless.

Just as a giant monster with a body like a stone wall lunged at him, Daniel turned his gaze toward it.

He swung his sword once. The creature screamed, and split in two.

Its massive body disintegrated into dust before it even hit the ground.

Daniel dashed through the rising smoke and dust, kneeling at the cliff's edge.

Drael was several meters below, spinning in midair as mana flared around his body.

With a hard twist, he propelled himself upward and landed back on solid ground.

Sweat ran down his forehead.

"Damn it, that was close! I almost fell all the way down!"

"Keep your focus. It's not over yet," Daniel said without even glancing at him.

He turned. Dozens of monsters had gathered on the narrow path, on the walls, on the ceiling, and the ground.

All of them were screaming.

Daniel gripped his sword with both hands.

He released his aura, and the entire mountain went silent.

The ground trembled, the rocks split apart, and a cold light erupted beneath his feet.

The Law of Death flowed through the mountains like a river of darkness.

With one slash, dozens of monsters disintegrated instantly.

With the second strike, a wave of energy blasted through the path, sweeping everything in its way like dust.

Drael just stood there in disbelief, his eyes filled with the reflection of Daniel's glowing blade.

The more he saw, the more terrified he became.

Right now, Daniel looked more like a monster than the monsters themselves.

That realization made Drael shiver. He is the real monster here

The monsters screamed as their bodies collapsed inward, and the mountain finally grew silent again.

The few that survived turned to flee, as if they realized too late how foolish they'd been to attack this human-shaped beast.

But unfortunately for them, there was no cure for regret.

When silence returned, only dried blood remained.

Daniel lowered his sword, and it disappeared from his hand.

He took a brief look at the remaining parts of those monsters.

He couldn't understand how lifeless stones suddenly came to life.

Was it because of those drops of blood? But how?

Could they, just like his own blood, turn things into special kinds of monsters?

In fact, whatever it was, its ability was stronger than his own bloodline ability, because he could only turn living beings into monsters, not stones.

Still, he doubted that those blood drops were the real cause.

There had to be another reason behind it.

"You're... a monster," Drael exhaled, his voice trembling.

"..."

"I'll take that as a compliment," Daniel said casually, glancing ahead— toward the dark cave entrance hidden among the rocks.

AWAKENING THE ONLY SSS-RANK CLASS! NOW EVEN DRAGONS OBEY MEC501: A Manipulator?

Chapter 501: A Manipulator?

Daniel and Drael finally reached the cave after some struggle and effort. The sky was completely dark now, even the stars were no longer visible.

The air was so cold that every gust of wind made their bodies shiver.

After entering the cave, both of them first examined the inside to make sure no monsters or other creatures were living there.

Fortunately, there wasn't anything. The cave was completely empty.

More importantly, it was small enough that it didn't seem like even a single monster could live there.

Just to be safe, Daniel created several layers of security at the entrance using the Law of Death and mana.

Then they both sat down on the ground and leaned against the wall.

"It's a bit cold," Drael muttered. His body was much weaker than Daniel's, and this strange freezing air was even harder for him to bear.

Seeing that, Daniel raised his hand, and a small flame appeared in his palm. Using that, he created a proper fire.

The temperature inside the cave slowly began to rise.

Drael im

mediately moved closer and sat cross-legged beside the fire, holding his hands out toward it.

"Ahh, that's much better! Thanks a lot!" He smiled gratefully at the handsome young man sitting across from him.

"You're welcome. But if you don't mind, I want to ask you something."

"Of course! You saved my life twice today, ask whatever you want."

"Do you have any combat abilities?" Daniel asked calmly, though the curiosity in his tone was clearly noticeable.

The moment his words echoed through the cave, silence followed.

It seemed like Drael didn't know how to respond.

Daniel wasn't in a hurry. He just stared at him quietly, waiting for an answer.

After what happened in the mist and earlier, he had started to suspect that this man had no combat power at all.

Especially a little while ago, he kept avoiding direct fights, never engaging with the monsters.

Daniel had been the one killing all of them and receiving all the Exp.

That made him curious. Did this man really have no fighting skills?

If so, how did he manage to clear the first two floors?

"Well, it's not like I have no combat skills... I'm just really weak," Drael finally said after struggling with himself for a bit.

His tone carried clear embarrassment, as if he didn't want to talk about it, it was a shameful topic for him.

"So most of your skills are related to intelligence?"

"That's right. Most of my abilities are related to reasoning, processing, decision-making, forming strategies, or increasing analytical and cognitive speed."

"Then how did you survive this long? How did you clear the other two floors?" Daniel asked with even more curiosity.

He already had an idea.

Most likely, this man used his intellect to manipulate or control other Awakened, using them to conquer the first and second floors,

in other words, he used them as tools.

Wasn't that terrifying? Maybe. But it was also genius—a terrifying kind of genius.

Daniel wasn't scared. He was excited.

Even if this man had planned to use him as a tool as well, that didn't matter in the slightest.

Right now, all Daniel wanted was to recruit this man as one of his subordinates.

With his help, Daniel could definitely build the organization he had in mind.

"I used the other Awakened as tools. It wasn't hard.I just targeted their weaknesses, emotions, and found some evidence I could use against them, something that could destroy their lives. That way, they had no choice but to obey me. Sometimes I even manipulated their emotions or mentality without them realizing it," Drael said coldly, his eyes turning distant.

At this point, his real self was already revealed. Was there any reason to keep hiding?

He knew it would be discovered sooner or later anyway.

He wasn't stupid. On the contrary, he was extremely smart. It wasn't hard for him to see that Daniel wasn't someone he could deceive.

Even just talking to him felt difficult, let alone trying to manipulate him.

"Perfect. I didn't expect to meet a genius like you." A wide smile appeared on Daniel's face.

"You're... not angry?" Drael blinked, thinking he had misheard.

"Why would I be angry?"

"Because I used blackmail, emotional manipulation, and other stuff like that?"

"So what? Did you do that to me? Am I some kind of hero?"

"You're... seriously strange." Drael laughed out loud.

Every time he thought he was starting to understand Daniel, he'd realize a moment later that he actually knew nothing about him.

"Maybe. Anyway, like I said, I didn't expect to meet a genius like you."

"Either way, we've wasted enough time. Let's start meditating and recover our mana," Daniel said with a chuckle and closed his eyes.

Drael blinked in confusion, unsure how to react.

That was it? That was his response?

He thought their conversation had just begun, yet Daniel suddenly started meditating.

What kind of personality was this? He felt like he was dealing with someone even crazier than himself.

In truth, Daniel had wanted to continue the conversation, but he decided now wasn't the right time.

Right now, Drael was too guarded, too cautious.

It was best to end the discussion here and bring up his real offer after a few days, once they got more familiar with each other.

Drael also guessed the same thing. He figured Daniel had stopped because he noticed how defensive he'd become.

He just smirked and didn't care.

He, too, closed his eyes and entered meditation.

Unfortunately, his combat power was too low, there was nothing he could do against this man anyway.

So the only thing he could do now was wait.

If his guess was right, Daniel would eventually ask him for something.

As long as he could clear this floor and reach Rank A, he didn't mind helping this man for a while.

After all, once he became Rank A, he'd finally be able to take his revenge.

AWAKENING THE ONLY SSS-RANK CLASS! NOW EVEN DRAGONS OBEY MEC502: A Dream

Chapter 502: A Dream

Daniel's eyes slowly opened. Morning light poured through the curtains, and the smell of fresh tea and warm bread filled the air.

He blinked a few times. There was a strange heaviness in his chest, and... oddly, his head hurt. He looked around, a frown forming on his face.

Wasn't he just in the cave? Then where was this place? Was he dreaming? But he hadn't even fallen asleep to begin with.

Wait... he didn't sleep? Then what was he doing before this? Why couldn't he remember? His memories were a complete mess, tangled together—he couldn't recall what he was doing before opening his eyes.

"Daniel! Hurry up, son! Breakfast is getting cold!" A familiar yet unfamiliar voice called from outside the room.

It was the voice of a middle-aged man, one he hadn't heard in years—so long that he couldn't even remember the last time he had.

A soft smile appeared on his lips. It felt like he had been asleep for a lifetime. His clothes were clean, his sword was gone. The Awakened, the Tower, the Dungeons, the Celestial Domain—all of it suddenly felt like a lie.

He walked downstairs. His mother, Liana, was standing behind the table with her usual warm smile. Elise, his younger sister, sat in her chair laughing with a mouthful of bread.

His father sat on the other side of the table with a newspaper in hand.

"Good morning, my hero," Liana said, placing a cup of tea in front of him.

For a moment, Daniel was speechless. Seeing this scene brought a real smile to his face—a genuine one, straight from the heart.

'So it targets your desires? Or maybe what it thinks your desires are?'

But he didn't want to think about it. He picked up the spoon and took a sip of tea. Warmth spread through his body. For the first time in ages, he felt true peace.

Hours—or maybe days—passed. Laughter, light, and calm surrounded him. But as each day went by, things started to fade. Faces. Memories. Voices. Sometimes he couldn't even remember his own name.

Sometimes he looked up at the sky and felt like he was supposed to be somewhere else.

"Brother, why do you look so sad? Everything's fine here, isn't it?" Elise asked, looking at him with innocent eyes.

"Yeah... it's fine. Maybe a bit too fine." Daniel sighed.

She smiled, but in her eyes, a black light flickered. Outside the house, the mist was slowly crawling over the ground. His chest tightened. He knew this would all end sooner or later.

Maybe it was time to end it himself. Could he really bring himself to do that? He didn't know. Maybe all of this was a lie—but during these few days, he had felt peace for the first time in so long.

No worries, no pain. He could just enjoy the little things he loved.

That night, the family gathered around the dinner table. A candle burned in the center.

"You know... I think it's time," Daniel said quietly, staring into the flame.

"Time for what, son? Dinner just started!" his father said, raising a brow.

"Daniel, are those dreams of yours coming back again? Don't worry, everything's real," his mother smiled warmly.

"Tell me, bro, when are you gonna wake up this time?" Elise teased, giggling.

Daniel looked at her silently, then slowly raised his hand. Suddenly, The Heavens Honor appeared in his grip. The candle flame flickered.

"Daniel? What's that? Why are you—?"

"Even knowing it's a lie... it's still hard," he sighed.

With a single swing, his sword sliced through the air. No blood splattered.

No screams. Only silence.

The bodies fell to the ground... and after a few seconds, their skin split open. From within, long black fingers crawled out—distorted faces, hollow eyes, and twisted forms.

The monsters rushed toward him with muffled screams. Shock filled their many eyes; they couldn't understand how he'd seen through it.

They were certain his memories should've already been erased. How could he still tell what was real?

Daniel struck without hesitation. The sword's aura tore through the darkness, each swing spreading waves of death that silently shredded the monsters apart.

When the last of them fell, the mist closed in again.

A voice rose from within the darkness—a deep, mocking whisper.

"You enjoyed it, didn't you? That warm, cozy illusion? You humans are all the same... right up until I start feeding on your minds."

From the mist, a shapeless creature emerged. Its body twisted and coiled like smoke and nightmare woven together. Its countless eyes stared in every direction at once.

"I have to admit, you surprised me. I thought you'd lost your memories and fully sunk in—but it turns out you were just enjoying yourself."

"....."

"This is the first time I've seen a monster like you. How did you even manage to drag me into a dream? You know what—forget it. Doesn't matter. Once we get out of here, we can talk properly," Daniel said calmly.

"You're a fool if you think you can escape my dream," the monster sneered.

Daniel looked around. The ground felt soft, the sky trembled, and the house he'd been living in for days had completely vanished.

He raised his sword, but when he swung it, the blade dissolved like vapor in the air.

The monster laughed, its voice overlapping into thousands of whispers.

"See? In here, my rules apply."

Daniel closed his eyes, took a slow breath, and for a while, silence filled everything.

Then he spoke quietly:

"This is a dream... so is this my real body or just my consciousness?"

"Of course it's your real body!" the monster snapped.

"Really? I don't think you're that strong," Daniel said mockingly.

The monster hesitated. Its form wavered—it could sense what the arrogant human was about to do.

Daniel smiled faintly and pressed the sword to his own chest.

"Then let's test it."

He drove the blade straight into his heart.

The world shattered. The mist screamed. The monster let out a terrified roar, disbelief filling its tone.

"No... how—how did you—?! You weren't supposed to know!"

How did this human realize it?! How could he dare to test something like this?! Didn't he fear death?!

Unfortunately for it, Daniel truly had no fear of death.

Everything cracked—the ground, the sky, the mist itself—and in the next instant, all of it collapsed into nothing.

...

When he opened his eyes again, he was back in the cave. He was breathing heavily, sweat dripping down his face.

Drael lay in the corner, seemingly trapped in the same dream, still stuck there.

Daniel took a deep breath, ignoring him for now, and looked around.

It seemed they had been wrong about this cave not having a monster.

Well, maybe not exactly wrong—

There really wasn't a monster in the cave...

The cave itself was the monster.

AWAKENING THE ONLY SSS-RANK CLASS! NOW EVEN DRAGONS OBEY MEC503: Feeling Regret

Chapter 503: Feeling Regret

Daniel glanced around the cave. A cold light flickered in his eyes. He was a bit curious about the monster that had managed to drag his consciousness into a dream.

It wasn't like he'd never heard of such creatures before, on the contrary, he knew about beings that fed on dreams.

But for a monster to pull someone's consciousness into a dream without them realizing it... that was a masterpiece on its own.

If it weren't for his strong spiritual and mental power, he would've been completely trapped inside that illusion.

And from what he'd seen, the dream seemed to target one's deepest desires—or at least, what it thought their desires were.

He truly did want his family to be together again, but that kind of peace wasn't meant for him.

He was someone drawn to chaos and danger. Otherwise, why would he always be poking around in places he shouldn't?

He only avoided the kinds of trouble that could endanger his family.

As for those that only put himself in danger—he didn't care.

That peace and stillness were uncomfortable to him. Maybe he could live that kind of quiet life for a few days, but eventually, he'd get bored of it.

He slowly stood up.

The cave walls pulsed, as if they were breathing.

Soft murmurs echoed from deep within the earth, seeping through the walls.

Then, suddenly, dried blood began dripping from the ceiling—but when the drops touched the ground, they sank in, as if the cave itself was devouring them.

Daniel placed his hand on the wall.

It didn't feel like stone—it felt like skin.

Veins pulsed beneath his fingertips. A heartbeat.

And with a bit of focus, he realized the cave was alive.

He sighed. At this point, he had figured it out. The cave itself was the monster—one that probably dragged intruders into dreams and fed on them.

He couldn't understand how he hadn't realized it earlier. Maybe it just hadn't occurred to him to inspect the cave itself.

The Heavens Honor gleamed in his hand, casting a pale light around him.

The blade's glow trembled in the darkness, and for a brief moment, the cave was illuminated—revealing hundreds of eyes opening within the walls.

"I didn't expect you to wake up," said a voice from everywhere and nowhere, as if the ground itself was speaking. It sounded angry.

"Hmph! But it doesn't matter now. Since you're awake, I'll just devour you directly."

The ground quaked. Stones split open, and from within burst masses of flesh and bone—twisted faces, jagged stone teeth, long slithering arms.

Daniel smiled, completely unfazed. He raised his sword.

"If someone's going to become someone else's meal here, it'll be you... actually, no—turning you into a Fallen sounds better."

The cave screamed. The walls split open, and bone pillars surged upward from the ground—[Bone Spears]!

Daniel leaped back, spun his blade, and with one sweeping strike, shattered five pillars at once.

From the cracks, dark blood sprayed and filled the air.

The mist thickened, and a thousand overlapping screams echoed from the depths—[Echo Devour]!

Voices tore through his mind—the screams of his father, mother, even Elise and Tiana.

All the people he cared about.

"What makes you think that'll work on me?" Daniel said lazily, though he was curious how this creature even knew his family.

Had it read his mind?

No—that was unlikely.

He activated the sword's aura. The air twisted around him as a wave of gray energy burst outward—the Aura of Death.

The walls withered, chunks of flesh burned away, but the ground split open again.

The cave was alive, and within every wall, hundreds of faces quivered in agony.

The ground throbbed once more—[Ground Pulse]!

A massive wave of flesh and stone surged toward him, like a giant's heartbeat.

Daniel gripped the sword with both hands and invoked the Law of Death.

The blade struck the ground, releasing a black wave of energy. The monster's heartbeat stopped instantly. The earth trembled.

A scream tore through the depths—long, distorted, unbearable.

It was so hideous that Daniel felt pain in his ears.

But the creature still wasn't dead.

From the ceiling, a massive lump of flesh fell, forming a huge head with glowing eyes.

"You don't understand... this earth is my body!"

The rocks around Daniel twisted, and [Flesh Assimilation] activated—trying to pull him into the wall.

Daniel was being swallowed alive, but he calmly closed his eyes and whispered,

"Law of the Moon."

A silver aura radiated from his sword.

The blade sank into the ground, and the power of death flowed through the flesh like a reflective wave.

The cave convulsed. Screams and choking noises erupted from every direction.

And then—everything stopped.

Silence.

Moonlight shimmered on his sword as Daniel stood, unmoving, while the monstrous mass before him collapsed.

The monster howled in fear.

"Impossible... this place—!" It couldn't comprehend what had happened.

Regret and terror filled its voice.

If it had known what kind of monster this human was, it would've never picked a fight with him.

Why would a monster like that, disguised as a human, even be in a place like this? Why would a monster like that need to rest? Couldn't it just cross the mountains easily?

That bastard was playing the role of a pig when he is a tiger.

He wanted, in that moment, to curse that man with everything he had, but he knew it would do no good. His fate was already decided.

In front of that man he was no different than an insect.

"What's wrong? Scared?" Daniel mocked coldly. He had simply reversed the cave's authority using the Law of the Moon.

With one final strike, he slammed the sword into the ground.

A wave of death erupted beneath his feet, swallowing every inch of the cave.

The earth quaked, the walls crumbled, and the monster's final scream was smothered within the collapsing stone.

"Don't worry," Daniel said calmly,

"You're not going to die. After all, from now on... you'll be serving me for eternity."

AWAKENING THE ONLY SSS-RANK CLASS! NOW EVEN DRAGONS OBEY MEC504: The Buried God

Chapter 504: The Buried God

Drael slowly opened his eyes. There was no trace of anger or rage in them—only sadness and loneliness.

He let out a quiet sigh, trying to calm his mind, but it didn't work.

That feeling of sorrow couldn't be destroyed. He had tried for years to bury it deep inside, yet now it was overflowing again.

Why? Why would he see such a dream?

He'd rather face his worst nightmares than see this one—a dream that was slowly dragging him down into itself.

He knew it was a lie. From the very moment the dream started, he knew it wasn't real.

But even if it was a lie, he wouldn't have minded spending the rest of his life in it.

...Until suddenly, killing intent flickered in his eyes.

"You alright?" Daniel looked at the man, unsure how to react as he saw so many emotions flash across Drael's face in just a few seconds—

Sadness, loneliness, then anger and killing intent.

It reminded him of himself. Of who he used to be in his previous life.

Strangely enough, the same feeling, the same vibe, came from Drael.

Could it be...?

"I'm fine. It seems a lot happened here while I was out."

He nodded once, glancing around. The cave was almost completely destroyed—barely anything was left standing.

"There was a small fight, but I dealt with it quickly."

"Thank you."

"Thank me? For what?" Daniel raised an eyebrow.

"For saving me. If you hadn't, I would've been trapped in that lie forever," Drael sighed and spoke with genuine gratitude.

Unlike before, this time it came straight from his heart.

Daniel didn't say anything. He just nodded, turned back toward the fire, and sat beside it again.

He had been forced to use mana during the fight, so now he needed to restore what he had spent.

Drael, seeing this, also stayed quiet. He closed his eyes again and entered meditation—not to recover his mana this time, but to calm his mind.

Meanwhile, Daniel's consciousness drifted into his spiritual realm.

A spiritual version of himself appeared inside his mind palace, where he faced his new Fallen—Mercious.

"Greetings, my Lord," Mercious bowed respectfully.

"There's no need for that. I just want you to answer some questions. First of all... what exactly are you?"

"I don't know."

"You don't... know?" Daniel's eyebrows rose in surprise.

What did that even mean? How could this creature not know what it was?

This was the same monster that had trapped both him and Drael inside that dream.

"I've already told you, my Lord. I was the cave itself—part of this mountain range.

Those strange drops of blood that flowed down from the peaks gave me awareness. Not only that, but they also granted me incredible abilities."

"So it's those blood drops again."

Daniel frowned slightly. He had already suspected there was something deeply unusual about that blood.

After all, it was able to give life to stones and turn them into monsters.

And now, apparently, it had even given a cave a mind of its own.

What the hell were those things?

How could blood have such properties?

Even stranger, it was somewhat similar to his own bloodline ability.

"Do you know anything else about that blood? Who does it belong to?"

"No, my Lord. But from the moment I gained awareness, I knew—deep inside my mind—that I must worship a being called the Buried God, and dedicate myself to freeing Him. Perhaps... the blood belongs to that God?" Mercious replied without hesitation.

"The Buried God? The blood of a God?" Daniel's expression darkened.

Wasn't that eerily similar to his own situation?

His bloodline also came from a God—the one known as the Fallen God.

And now it seemed there was another God—one whose blood could create monsters, or grant life, consciousness, and power to the nonliving.

A God called the Buried God...

Daniel knew that nothing inside the Tower's floors was meaningless. Everything existed for a reason.

Could the Fallen God and the Buried God be connected somehow?

Unfortunately, he didn't have enough information to draw any conclusions. For now, he'd have to set it aside.

"So, this mountain range... it's also related to the Buried God?"

He glanced at his Fallen and asked.

"I do not know, my Lord," Mercious shook his head, making Daniel sigh quietly.

It seemed he couldn't get much more information from this one.

Still, it wasn't all bad. At least now he had a clue—this floor might be tied to that entity known as the Buried God.

And based on Mercious's words, it sounded like that being was trapped.

He suspected that the final stage of this floor might involve either freeing or killing that God.

Daniel hoped his guess was wrong—that it would be neither.

First, he had no desire to fight a God, and he knew he couldn't win anyway.

Second, he didn't want to cross whoever—or whatever—was powerful enough to trap a God in the first place.

His awareness returned to his physical body.

He pushed those thoughts aside and focused on refilling his mana.

His intuition told him that tomorrow wouldn't be a peaceful day, and he needed to be at his full strength.

Honestly, he regretted not waiting a full month before entering the Tower again.

He didn't have access to any of his skills yet, and if he did, this whole climb would've been much easier.

But what was done was done.

Regret wouldn't change anything.

Besides, even without his skills, he doubted anyone here could challenge him.

Time passed slowly until morning came.

The blazing sun rose again, spilling its light over the entire mountain range.

Daniel and Drael both opened their eyes, looked at each other, and stood up.

After putting out the fire, they headed for the exit.

"We need to get out of here as soon as possible. We'll fly until we clear the mountains.

If the conditions outside are stable, we'll land afterward," Daniel explained.

"Understood," Drael nodded.

After removing the safety wards, both of them left the cave, they ascended straight into the sky, flying fast toward the edge of the mountain range.

But neither of them expected what kind of danger, and horror, was waiting for them there.

AWAKENING THE ONLY SSS-RANK CLASS! NOW EVEN DRAGONS OBEY MEC505: Frustration

Chapter 505: Frustration

The sky above the bloody Mountain Range twisted violently.

The air was scorching and suffocating, so hot that even breathing had become difficult.

Daniel and Drael were flying in silence. They avoided going any higher than a certain point, especially near those crimson-colored peaks.

Even while flying, both of them felt it deep inside: they shouldn't get close to those bloody summits.

So they stayed below a certain altitude, choosing caution over curiosity.

A heavy silence lingered between them. It wasn't that they didn't want to talk, they just didn't know what to talk about, especially after last night when Drael's true identity had been revealed.

"Are you really from that kingdom you mentioned?" Daniel suddenly asked, breaking the silence.

"You think I lied?"

"No. I'm sure you did."

Drael glanced at him, speechless for a moment.

This was the first time he had met someone so annoyingly straightforward.

In truth, he wasn't from that kingdom at all.

He controlled that kingdom.

But before he could answer—

The air around them grew heavy, as if the sky itself was about to collapse.

Drael shivered involuntarily.

"You feel that?"

Daniel turned his gaze eastward, narrowing his eyes.

The scent of death was approaching—from far away.

Something was coming. Not one thing, but hundreds—blending within the clouds.

Before they could react, the air split apart with the silent roar of wings.

From the fog, bloodbirds emerged—monstrous creatures with skeletal wings covered in fleshy membranes dripping with boiling blood.

Their eyes were blind, yet their entire bodies could sense the warmth of life.

When they screamed, it sounded like the cries of hundreds of dying victims echoing all at once.

Without wasting time, Daniel summoned his sword.

Its blade shimmered with the color of death.

Drael tried to gain altitude, but the first wave of the attack hit immediately.

Dozens of flying beasts charged from every direction.

Daniel dove down to pass between them, but Drael wasn't fast enough.

One of the monsters' wings slammed into his leg, throwing him off balance.

"Drael." Daniel gave him a quick glance, but seeing that he would survive even if he fell, he didn't bother trying to save him.

He had more important things to deal with.

In the next moment, he was alone in the sky—surrounded by hundreds of winged creatures circling him like vultures.

"Alright... now that he's gone, I can devour you all in peace."

Daniel lifted his sword and spoke calmly.

With a single motion, the sword's aura expanded.

Lines of black and white light rippled outward from the blade.

The bloodbirds shrieked and dove at him from all sides.

Daniel charged straight into them without hesitation.

His first swing cut through the air—

A wave of death energy burst from his blade, slicing through three monsters at once.

Before their pieces could even fall, their bodies dissolved into mist midair.

Then came the second strike.

He spun the sword in a half-circle, and the Law of Death rippled through the sky.

Each attack absorbed the death energy of the fallen, empowering the next strike even more.

The birds fell one after another, their wings melting in the flames of death until nothing remained.

But their numbers didn't seem to decrease.

The buzzing of their wings filled the air like a maddening symphony.

Daniel, expressionless, kept swinging his sword—each movement precise, cold, and fluid, like an artist painting in blood.

"Why the hell are there so many of them?" he muttered, but didn't stop.

They were weak individually, but there were too many.

One mistake could easily lead to serious injury.

Suddenly, dozens of them attacked from behind.

He raised his sword again, letting the energy of death surge through it.

The stench of death filled the entire space.

Death's aura erupted from his body like a silent supernova.

In an instant, dozens of monsters within tens of meters disintegrated into ash.

The wind carried their remains away.

But it wasn't over yet.

From the clouds above, five gigantic beasts appeared—winged creatures wrapped in pulsating veins of blood.

They were the rulers of this sky.

Their sizes were colossal—each one easily a thousand times larger than the smaller birds.

Their wings alone were enough to darken the heavens.

One of them screeched, releasing a sonic wave of blood and wind that shook the mountains below.

Daniel lifted his sword toward the sky.

Its glow turned silver, and streaks of death energy swirled around him.

His final strike fell—quiet, calm, and absolute.

The sound of impact was like time itself shattering.

For a brief instant, the entire sky flashed white—

Then silence.

When the fog cleared, hundreds of corpses were falling from above.

Feathers of blood floated through the air as Daniel hovered motionless among them.

"It's over."

He lowered his sword and exhaled.

Without wasting a moment, he activated Everlasting Physique and devoured all the fallen bodies.

Below, among the cracks of the rocky cliffs, Drael sat on a jagged boulder, panting heavily.

His clothes were torn and bloodied.

All around him, shadows were moving—monsters made of flesh and stone, with dried veins protruding like fangs.

Drael let out a hollow laugh of despair.

"You've got to be kidding me... After that fall, now this?"

He knew he didn't stand a chance.

Three monsters lunged through the mist toward him.

He shouted in pain, driving his sword into the first one's body, but the second creature grabbed his arm and threw him into another rock.

He crashed to the ground, his chest burning with pain.

"Damn it, heavens! Why don't I have any combat power?! Is this really where I die?!"

Drael roared in frustration.

The third monster opened its mouth, rows of wet fangs gleaming in the dark, the stench of decay flooding the air.

Drael shut his eyes tightly—

But then, from behind him, a calm, sharp, familiar voice echoed.

"Drael... it's not time for you to die yet."
