"You, what did you do to us?" Hanna asked, feeling her cultivation base suddenly come to a halt.
Klaus just smirked at her sudden remark. He looked at the rest of his panicking friends, and his smirk grew into a grin.
Aside from his mother, Queenie, Ohema, Kilian, and Miriam, the rest, including his friends and their ladies, felt their cultivation bases come to a halt.
"I just placed a seal on your cultivation bases. From now on, until you all can confidently battle and kill a transcendent-level monster, you won't break through. And don't worry, I will never show favoritism here," Klaus said as he gulped down a cup of tea.
His mom giggled, looking at the grim expressions on their faces.
While they may have fought in groups and even killed some transcendent-level monsters, aside from Aoi and Lulu, none of them had fought against a transcendent-level monster alone.
So, the idea of going against one, they just didn't have what it took to take on such a challenge.
"You do know not all of us are monsters like you," Ling, one of the Zhou twins, said, shaking her head, yet she wasn't smiling.
"True, but as people in my inner circle, I can't, in good conscience, watch you all bask in the sudden rise in your power, thinking you have become stronger.
No, in my eyes, none of you will be able to contend against Kilian here, and I know what I am talking about," Klaus said, and the expression everyone wore changed from a frown to shock beyond their senses.
"What do you mean by that? Hanna is ranked first in the Sage Randing in the academy, and even Anna is second. If anything, Kilian, who is third, shouldn't have what it takes to defeat them.
Even if I put my back into it, I would be able to defeat him," Danny bragged, yet he wasn't smiling.
Klaus didn't say anything and just kept eating, letting his friends think of many things until suddenly, Lily gasped and covered her mouth.
She turned to her brother, "You have been holding back all this time?" she asked, and Kilian could only smile guiltily.
"Unbelievable," Lily said, not knowing what to think anymore.
"Sorry, sis, but I had to hold myself back since I still don't have control over my flame like you guys. I might just accidentally hurt you all if I tried going all out," Kilian said with an apologetic smile.
"He is right. His current flame is unstable, and if he had tried to go all out, not only would he accidentally kill you guys, but not even the formations in the academy would have been able to save you," Klaus said, making Hanna and Lily's hearts skip a beat.

However, they all seemed to understand what had happened and couldn't believe their eyes. Even Queenie, who may have suspected this, now wore a frown on her face.
"Y-you, how did you know this? You just got back from your mission and haven't even spent time with them. How did you know he was hiding his strength?" Queenie asked, looking suspiciously at Klaus.
"I can read minds now," Klaus chuckled, nearly choking on his food. "You guys should eat; food is very important. You might grow lean if you don't eat," Klaus smiled.
His friends could only stare at him, wondering what had happened to him that caused him to become this cold. Of course, Hanna, who had gotten comfortable with him, could no longer hold her thoughts.
"What are you planning, brother? Though what you just did could be counted as tyranny, I know you enough to know you wouldn't just want us to kill Tier 9 monsters. Spill it," Hanna asked.
Klaus looked at her and smirked, "Is it too shocking to believe I just wanted you guys to become monsters and unlock your potential?" Klaus asked.
"Yes... very shocking. Though you are strong, you never would have done this in the past," Hanna said, and Klaus could only sigh.
He turned to Queenie and, using the connection between them, asked, 'Should I tell them?'
Queenie didn't even think about it and gave him her reply. 'Go ahead. They have to know since not all dangers surrounding Earth can be eliminated by us.'
Klaus sigh. He knew that in the grand scheme of things, Humans are nothing. They are basically the weakest force on Earth right now.
The strongest being is a Monster. Of course, he doesn't know that there are actually two Beasts and two monsters holding the title of Earth's strongest.
They only know of one; strangely, it is the weakest of the four. But he wasn't about to ask his friends to help him Kill the Void Stage expert.
No, he wants his friends to help him kill Void stage experts by taking care of the small fries that can easily destroy all life on Earth.
"You guys are not aware simply because you choose not to attend the lectures on Beast and Monster Anatomy, but through that class, I learned that the strongest beings on earth aren't us humans, the water-born, or the ice people—not even the beasts.
It is the monsters. And from what I know, not even our Queenie here can handle them. But that's just the big boss. The main danger is the various monsters, beasts, and zombies that are threatening our borders.
Right now, I know you are aware of the Badlands and how dangerous those places are. You also know how dangerous the Tier 8 and 9 forbidden zones can be.
But forget about that... Before you all think I'm being paranoid, imagine a lineup of a hundred Tier 10 monsters and beasts coming toward any of the cities.
"I know you all can see how weak we are. If just a hundred Tier 10 monsters invade a city, not even the overlords will stand a chance. And there are thousands of them hiding on Earth.
The fact that they haven't attacked yet is a miracle. So, while I would love to wait until they attack, I wouldn't bet my mother's life on that.

With the plans I have in store, you all will finally be ready to face the dangers that are yet to come. The dangers we are bound to face will require us to fight many ranks above us.
We don't have the upper hand even with our new neighbors coming, so we can only grow to reach the stage where we can make a difference on the battlefield with just one of us.

Klaus ended his words with a shameless remark, but none of his friends were smiling or rolling their eyes. They held frowns on their faces.
Well, his mom rolled her eyes while a smile played on her lips. But that was just her...
The others, however, weren't smiling. The sudden discovery that all of humanity could come to an end any day if the monsters, beasts, and zombies attacked was just too shocking.
They all used to believe the strongest in the entire world were the Overlords. But now that Klaus had opened their eyes to the grim reality surrounding them, they could only see the errors in their thoughts.
Klaus wasn't even making it grimmer simply because he knew they wouldn't have the mental capacity to handle the true nature of the danger they were in.
"So, my dear friends, enjoy this vacation. When we leave, things will become much more chaotic and deadly than you can imagine.
Also, be sure to prepare your minds for the fact that you will all be fighting Tier 9 monsters and beasts—and even Tier 10—as a group."
Klaus gulped down another cup of tea.

His friends just stared at him.
They all lost their appetite, hearing what awaited them. Klaus simply ignored them and ate to his fill. His mom was rather pleased with his eating abilities, so she kept filling his plate.
After eating nearly 50% of the breakfast, Klaus turned and looked at his pals, a small smile appearing on his face.
"You guys should lighten up. Though I would love to see you get hurt fighting above your weight, I wouldn't just stand idle and watch you all die," Klaus said, though the smile on his face and his words didn't match at all.
"Stop scaring your friends, Klaus. This is a vacation, so let's enjoy it," Klaus's mom said, bringing some calm to everyone's heart.
"Fine. Let's all enjoy this vacation. It's going to be a long one, too," Klaus said, then turned to his mother. "You should hurry up and break through to the Grandmaster stage."
She is now nearing the peak of the Master stage thanks to Queenie and the ladies giving her all kinds of resources.

"You're not looking to make me fight monsters and zombies, are you?" Klaus's mom said with a smile.
"No. Such a weak and delicate flower like you shouldn't be allowed to—ouch!" Klaus wasn't even done when his ear was twisted clockwise.
His mom was holding onto his ear, making him feel the pain. "Who are you calling weak?" she asked.
"I also called you delicate. That should count for—ouch!" Klaus screamed again, feeling his ear burning hot.
"Wanna try taking that back again?" she said, making his friend feel good watching Klaus getting disciplined by his mother. He had just tried to ruin their vacation, so watching him become miserable felt good.
"Sorry for calling you weak, Mom. I, for a minute, forgot you are an angel of death," Klaus said, making his mom smile at his words.
"Good. At least you know how to compliment ladies," she said, bringing an ice block to his red ear.

"As if anyone will believe that," Hanna said, though she believed it. She just did, and Lucy, Nia, Oheme, Queenie, and Miriam also felt he was telling the truth.
Klaus just smiled and waved his hand. In the next second, a wave of green ice appeared, transforming into a screen. Soon, the scene of the tormented world appeared in it.
Then it changed, and a battle where Klaus faced Zarok, the demon hellhound, emerged. It was so vivid that they all felt as though they were present inside the trial.
Klaus was using the hypnotic ice and his illusion class to show what went on inside the trial—at least, how he remembered it. And he remembered every smaller detail.
"What kind of monster is that?" Lily asked, looking on as Zarok appeared through the space crack.
"That, my dear, is a demon hellhound. It's a beast that became a Tier 10 through slaughter. It killed its entire army of demon hellhounds just so it could become a mutated hellhound demon," Klaus replied, sending chills down the spines of his friends.
Zarok was indeed a monster in his own right. In fact, staring at the colossal sabre in his hand was enough to tell them they wouldn't stand a chance, even as a group, against that thing.
"And you killed this monster?" Anna asked in disbelief.

Zarok was his first opponent and also the one who showed him just how dangerous the trial would be. So obviously, in that battle, he was only starting to understand the dynamics, causing him to suffer some injuries.
His friends held shocked expressions, watching his battered and bruised body.
Even his mom tightened her grip on his hand when she saw his battered and bruised state. Klaus just smiled and focused on showing his friends all the battles he fought in the trial.
By the time he was done, even Queenie was staring at him with a wide, shocked expression. She just couldn't understand how someone could be this monstrous.
She may be a monster, but she couldn't boast of being this monstrous when she was at his level. In fact, she never believed she could do something like this.
"Now that you guys have seen what's possible, are you going to man up—or woman up—and listen to what I have planned? Believe it or not, you will all be fighting Overlord-level monsters sooner than you think."
At this point, even Queenie wanted to get in on Klaus's training plan, which he was cooking up.

THE LAST PARAGON IN THE APOCALYPSEC604 Major Changes
Klaus and his friends spent the morning mainly talking about his time inside the trial. Klaus told them many interesting things, some from his fourth incarnation in the tormented world.
Of course, they don't know most of those things are from his incarnation. He wasn't about to let them in on something that unbelievable.
Klaus wasn't really concerned about them knowing about his near-death moments. He showed them everything using his memory and illusions.
Now, they all saw what he was capable of and could tell that if they listened to him, they would all become monsters in their own right.
Of course, Klaus succeeded in brainwashing them, which was very easy, considering he only had to show them a little of the real danger he had in store.
After they were done talking about everything, Klaus spent the rest of the day walking around Stone Valley with his mother, whom he planned on spending more time with before he went back out there.
Right now, the Earth has entered a new power structure system. Klaus's display has opened the eyes of many, showing them that no matter how powerful you are, there is always someone more monstrous than you.
The downfall of two legacy families, three great clans, and an organization such as the Dark Order has created a ripple effect that many never saw coming.
For years, many wondered just who this Dark Order was. They speculated that perhaps it was some underworld demon organization that emerged when the world changed.
However, until they openly started targeting people, all of this was just speculation.
Then, Klaus struck back a while ago, and many realized the Dark Order is made up of people they interact with daily.
Some were their doctors, friends, lovers, and even brothers and sisters. This was something many never saw coming.
Now, after Klaus had destroyed them, more identities began to surface.
It turns out most of these people were powerful family heads, heirs, members, and even teachers and doctors.
After the battle, the identities of these individuals were revealed by controversial news. Ohema and her company contracted them to broadcast some of the details they uncovered since they are the new owners of the destroyed Union City.
This discovery shook everyone.
Guan, one of the prominent families from the eastern region of the Northern Union, was a member of the Dark Order. In fact, he was Dark Lord Number 2—one of the most dangerous assassins in the world.
His son was the first human Klaus killed to save Anna from him when he was on his first-ever hunt.
Matin Guan... the bastard who, even in death, kept terrorizing Klaus during his tribulations.
When his identity was made known, most didn't believe such a prominent figure was an assassin.
Then another name-dropped, and people's belief in humanity was questioned.
Chester P., the human rights activist who campaigned for the Overlords and Legacies to send able men and women to less privileged countries early in the apocalypse, was Dark Lord Number One—the second most dangerous assassin after Reaper.
This came as a shock to many.
They simply couldn't believe that someone who cared for the lives of many could be a cold-hearted killer.
In truth, if only they knew he had killed over seven thousand people, including entire families, down to the last root.
Many would have demanded his body be brought out so they could hack it into countless pieces.
He was as crazy as they come, and now that he is dead—though it was a shock to them—many were grateful such a person was gone. The era of the Dark Order was no more.
Of course, their Grandmaster-stage assassins and a few Sages remained, but most had changed, considering they no longer had the will or the spirit to continue down the path of an assassin.
Klaus had traumatized an entire class of warriors, and now, most hid their daggers and took on day jobs, which they planned to do for the rest of their lives.
KKKickinIt was always on air, bringing everyone live coverage of what was happening. In the end, many began to see that perhaps what happened to the alliance was justified.
Many started thanking Klaus.
Meanwhile, after the battle, when Dharma announced that the Arkadia family would become the next legacy family, many family heads stormed Arkadian City, hoping to curry favours with the Arkadia family.
Lulu's family was now the main attraction in the Northern Union, but they also had big shoes to fill. Thankfully, their daughter had made a great choice by becoming the woman of Klaus, the one who caused all these changes.
Now, they had the support of Ohema's company, which had proven very valuable. They were essentially becoming a placeholder for Klaus, who was currently spending time with his friends and family.
But that wasn't the only thing happening.
A few hours after the battle, Hunter and Kate Duncan announced that their family wouldn't be coming after Klaus or anyone connected to him anymore.
This announcement was further echoed when the families of the other Legacy and Great Clans stepped forward. They were in the academy when it all went down, and now, they wanted nothing to do with Klaus ever again.
Of course, that was just on the surface.
They aren't really dropping it. No, they are actually planning something big, and this was a result of some unknown person who came to visit them and offered them a choice.

Meanwhile, Klaus, who had spent nearly all day with his mom, was now back and ready to spend the second night with another lady, soon to officially become his wife and partner.

"Why the crazy eyes?" Klaus said, looking at Hanna, who was looking back at him. It was early in the morning, but Hanna was staring at him with energetic, crazy eyes.
"Freshen up first; I have something to talk to you about," Hanna said, but Klaus remained in bed, not moving.
"You do know I just woke up, right? I need some more rest," Klaus said, but Hanna just smirked and grabbed hold of his leg. The next second, he was in the bathroom, bathing.
Hanna cleaned his bed, making sure every stained sheet was replaced. She may not have been showing it, but she was irritated that she wasn't the one having this moment.
But she was very cold when it came to aspects regarding intimate affections. This means she had to endure.
Klaus certainly wouldn't bat an eye to make her his woman, but for now, she could only be his sister, who didn't seem to care about his affections toward her.
"So, what do you want to talk to me about?" Klaus asked, now clad in shorts and a white shirt. His head rested on Hanna's lap as they settled on his now clean bed.
"Who is the Dean to you? I know the others aren't asking any questions, but I want to know," Hanna asked, and Klaus could only sigh.
He had expected such a question much earlier than now, but he could only curb her curiosity since she asked.
Under normal circumstances, he wouldn't have said anything, but Hanna is different. Not only would there be no Karma when he talks to her about stuff like this, but it would also strengthen their bond.
Right now, he found that just being closer to her seemed to have a huge effect on his cultivation, and according to Paragon, the deeper their bond, the more powerful that connection would be.
So Klaus wasn't about to deny such a chance. Of course, he also wasn't about to tell her every single thing about his past. More importantly, he wasn't about to tell him anything aside from his 4th incarnation.
"The Dean is someone very dear to me," Klaus began. "I know you already know what happened to us in the past. Well, after you died, I managed to escape thanks to you, but it wasn't a happy ending as you might have expected.
Mom managed to get me to the teleportation gate, but she couldn't go through with me. She had to sacrifice herself so I could escape. And when I did, I was transported to a new continent where a group of monks found me.
One of them is the Dean, who raised me, protected me and even gave his life in the end so I could grow into the person you and Mom hoped I would become."
Hanna sighed in her heart, but she wasn't about to make the morning a sad one. This was a bonding session, so she would make it one.
"So you were something of a monk back then?" she asked, and Klaus could only smile.
"Monks raised me, so it was only natural. I was a monk and still am one at heart, though my ways and their ways don't seem to align anymore," Klaus answered, remembering his vow in the tormented world.
He had yet to recall his life from after he entered the bloodline awakening trial. But long before that, he vowed he would use everything he had to get revenge; to do that, he would have to walk a path opposite to the monks' teachings.
Instead of inner peace, he will go into gun-blazing mode.
He was the direct opposite of the monk's teachings, and since the era of the renegade came to pass, it was only clear that he had succeeded in exacting his revenge.
"Did he remember his previous life from before you met at the academy, or was this a recent thing?" Hanna asked again.
"I can't tell, but from the happenings, now that I think about it, it seems he just remembered," Klaus answered, making Hanna nod.
"It's good you weren't alone after we were gone," she sighed. Every night she slept, she would dream of the life she had lived back in the past.

So, if Hanna starts remembering, does that mean she will also remember?
"No. I don't think Mom will remember. I don't know how I knew that, but I don't see that happening," Klaus said, and Hanna sighed.
"That's a relief, then. Mom has already done a lot, and she is very tired. I wouldn't want to see her go through such a memory, even if most of it was happy."
"Her dying wasn't something I want her to experience," she said with another sigh.
"Me too. I don't want her going through that. She deserves her current happiness. If possible, she should remain like this forever—I wouldn't mind," Klaus said.
Both he and Hanna nodded.
Hanna had many other questions, and Klaus was also ready to answer them all, considering this was a good thing for both of them.

Klaus smiled at his friends and could only feel pride.

"So, do you have a way to help him?" Lily asked.

"But aside from that, if you guys allow me to access your soul, I will be able to make it much better and even allow it to grow as you progress.
"Call it my own personal Oracle. Just know that, inside this illusion, everything will feel real. If you die inside, you will feel the pain, but it will also fortify your mind, making you much more resilient."
