Alexandra took his nephew's words surprisingly seriously. As an elite member of the Celestial Dragons, it could be said he possessed extraordinary hands and eyes and he located Kael's position immediately.

Over six years, their communication never broke. When Kael was about to overthrow the king, Alexandra wrote just one sentence in the letter he sent:

"Choose your own path don't forget, the Fegalando family stands behind you."

Needless to say, Alexandra status within the family was unquestionable. Even Gulando, the eldest son, could not oppose him.

At the time, Alexandra had criticized Gulando's actions, but had not anticipated that Gulando's experiments would be so dangerous as to drive Kael to the brink of death. By the time he learned the truth, it was too late.

Now he'd caught the chance to rectify his mistake and he wouldn't miss it.

Originally, Alexandra had hoped Kael would return to the family. But Kael refused.

The Figarland family respected strength. Kael must grow stronger, suppress the entire family with his absolute power and then personally kill his father, who was worse than a monster!

In the evening, after a day spent wild outdoors, Ivan returned to the church. He found Kael and the others seated on a couch. Sensing something off, Ivan bowed his head weakly and said:

"Is everyone waiting for me? What happened?"

Ginny jumped from the couch, one hand on her hip, the other pointing at Ivan, angrily saying:

"Brother Ivan, where did you go again? You're late!"

Ivan looked at her wide eyes and gestured frantically:

"Didn't you know? There's chaos outside! The king is missing!"

Yet even after this explosive news, no change crossed the faces of Kael and the others. Ginny let out a sigh and looked helplessly at them.

Kael waved the Bible in his hand and smiled:

"I've sent him back into God's hands."

"What!?"

Kael never hid what he did when using his abilities so Ivan instantly grasped what that meant. He swallowed and cleared his throat:

"So, you made the king disappear...?"

"Yes."

After a moment of silence, Ivan abruptly raised his hands, drew circles, and exclaimed:

"I've hated that bastard for so long! And, just like everyone expects Kael-chan!"

He turned toward Kael, leaned back, and shot Kael a deadly wink.

A grand "ding" appeared above Ginny's head. She kicked Ivan's backside, and he tumbled around.

Kael always wore a gentle smile, but a bead of cold sweat still glistened on his forehead. He routinely flipped two pages in the Bible he held.

Meanwhile, Kael spent his downtime reading books hidden in the church, honing his character. Six years ago, he awakened the Fur Tribe power in his body but that also caused him to lose control and almost harm bears and others unintentionally.

Actually, the Fur Tribe genes alone wouldn't cause so much conflict. The real reason was that Kael's body contained multiple gene lines. Once activated, those powerful genetic traits could trigger violence even against friends or enemies indiscriminately.

That's why he read: to maintain tranquility, and to master control.

"Thud!"

After closing the Bible, Kael spoke in a serious tone:

"The news of the king's disappearance has spread. The World Government will act soon. They will dispatch Marines to investigate."

The bear rubbed the meatball remnants in its paws and asked:

"Brother, so we're going to war with the Navy?"

Ginny pulled a gold-plated pistol from her chest. She'd secretly stolen it from the palace as a birthday gift for Kael.

She almost never let it go except when bathing.

And she didn't carry it just for decoration.

Her appearance and physique had once caught the attention of nobles some had even tried violence.

They obviously misjudged her as a fragile vase.

At an age when most girls played with friends, Ginny escaped from God Valley. She had seen the world's darkness early and through her long time with Kael, she understood the value of power.

She never skipped training. Now she was a full-fledged Shinsō fighter.

And Ivan his boxing technique was already taking shape.

Seeing the three eager to respond, Kael couldn't help laughing:

"Don't get so worked up. I don't want you fighting the Marines to the death. I'm just asking would you join the Marines with me?"

The moment those words left his mouth, the three were stunned. After a moment, Ginny looked worried:

"I don't care! Wherever Brother Kael goes, I go but… we were slaves once. If we're caught… we…"

Kael raised a finger, tapped Ginny on the forehead, and said:

"Why do you always forget I'm also a Celestial Dragon? As long as I'm here, no one dares touch you."

Ginny nodded obediently, held his hand, and said sincerely:

"Brother Kael, I will follow you. I told you six years ago we should never have left!"

Kuma raised his hand too, vowing to follow Kael. Only Ivan bowed his head and stayed silent. Kael didn't push, simply looked at him quietly.

Ginny, unable to bear it, grabbed Ivan's ear and asked loudly:

"Brother Ivan! What do you think? Don't you want to come with me?"

Ivan was silent for a moment, then slowly lifted his head. A rare serious expression appeared on his face.

"I'm sorry. I don't think I'm suited to be a Marine. I love freedom and the sea!"

Ginny's face changed. She was about to speak more, but Kael lifted his hand and cut her off.

Kael didn't feel resentment over Ivan's choice. Everyone has their own ambition and Kael would not force anyone.

He'd expected this outcome. Though he felt a twinge of regret, he respected Ivan's decision.

So Ivan was irreplaceable. Kael remembered the days they fled God Valley together, every detail of the past six years.

Looking at Ivan's guilt-ridden expression, Kael gave him an honest smile.

He stood up, lightly tapped Ivan's shoulder, and whispered:

"It's okay. We will always be friends and one day, we will meet again at sea."
