Mitsuki's Pov
I can't believe this man! We're outside! What is he thinking? Asking me that?!
A flashback from last night.
"Do you want to go outside?" My eyes widened! Did he just say 'Outside' Am I hearing things? Am I hallucinating?
"Wait, what?" I asked. I couldn't process what he said.
"Don't make me repeat myself." He said he was smiling like some creep! This man is literally crazy, I took a deep breath. Okay, relax.. This is my chance! I have to make sure to get out of here!
"I want to go." I answered. He then gave me a satisfied look.
"Settled then." He patted my head and went straight into his room after that.
Why, all of a sudden? It's suspicious. He must be plotting something. I haven't even thought of any plans yet. Ugh! I'm not sure why he asked me that, but I'm not going to waste this opportunity. If we ever go outside, that means I have the chance to escape from him. I won't waste it, I promise!
End of flashback.
"What are we doing here?" I asked. I don't know why he drags me into the department store. I have to make a move now, but he's not letting me do it. Does he know that I'm trying to escape? Did he catch on? No way! Why would he ask me if he thinks that? But I won't let my guard down. This man is crazy. I have to be careful. I don't know what's going through his mind. He's so hard to read.
"To buy you clothes, what else?" He answers, still grinning like devil!
"Come again?" Buy my clothes, my ass. I don't have time for this! Jolted!! Ugh! He looks straight into my eyes. His gaze is intense. I felt a shiver down my spine. Fine, let's do what he says for now. I also have to think of some plans, anyway.
"I don't have money on me." He gave me a charming smile, then held my shoulder. Why the hell does this man keep touching me?! I hate physical contact the most.
"It's on me, so go on, feel free to pick anything you want.''
He must be loaded. Let's just get along with him. I looked around the entire store; they have a lot of different clothes here and there, everything looks amazingly good and the price too. I miss shopping with mom, if only I- snap out of it! Please don't think of anything else right now. I only have to stay away from him. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I started to pick some clothes without even looking at the price. I couldn't care less. He'll be the one paying for all of these, anyway. Let's just get done with it.
After several minutes, I finished picking. He was observing me. I took a glance at him. He sure looks like a normal person, but he's really insane. That look can deceive many people. And I'm one of the victims.
"Hello ma'am, may I ask if you're going to pay using card or-"
"Card." You startled me!! What the heck? He was just sitting in the back earlier. How the hell did he manage to get here so fast?
"Alright, that will be $380, sir." The cashier smiled, waiting for him to hand his card. $380?! Just for four clothes and a hat? I still can't believe how expensive this country is. I should've stayed in Japan.
"Thank you sir, mam, please come again anytime." I gave her a nod and grabbed the bags, and we left the department. I took a glance at him. He looked to be in a good mood, smiling from ear to ear.
"Do you want to buy something else?" I looked away quickly and just shook my head. All I wanted to do was to escape.
"Oh, come on, you don't need to be so shy." Jeez! He is so persistent.
"Hm." There he went again. He sure has a hobby of holding his chin.
"How about some ice cream?" My eyes sparked hearing the word ice cream. Wait a damn minute, I have to fucking fight my urges. Please don't say yes, please.
"I see. You must like sweets, huh?"
"No, I don't." I said in denial.
"Are you sure?" he asks, a teasing look on his face.
"I don't!" I repeat, not looking at him. So annoying. I have to escape, you know!
"Don't lie. I can see the sparks in your eyes right now." I hissed. Why does he keep teasing me?! What's his problem, seriously?! Ugh, so frustrating. What can I do? Sweets are my weakness!
"Stop teasing me!" But he just let out a laugh. Tch!
"I know what to do!"
"What?"
"H-hey--" He took the paper bags I'm holding, his left hand is holding my wrist, this man is unbelievable!
I have to escape!!! Why can't you let me?
Damn.... How did I end up in a food court with him? I wasted a lot of time because of this man!
"Which flavor do you like?" he asked, smiling. I glared at him before I gave an answer. He's not giving me any chance.
"Dark chocolate." It would be a waste, I guess. I was craving it for too long. And this will be the last time I will see him. I promise that!
"Here's your ice cream."
"Thank you." He acts so differently when he's with me. It still shocked me that he knows how to smile and stuff. Of course I know that he's faking it, Tss. Goody two shoes.
"Thanks." We sat on a bench, eating our own ice cream. This is delicious! But I couldn't enjoy it because of my situation. Gotta finish this soon, I tried to eat the whole ice cream, knowing that I might choke.
"Huf....!'' Ugh! brain freeze, you idiot! What was I thinking? Fuck it. All I could think right now at this moment is to escape. Because I have to....
"Hey, eat slowly. You'll choke if you continue eating the whole ice cream." He said in a worried voice.
"Here, drink some water." I just stared at him for a while. He shakes the bottle, signaling me to get it in his hand.
"Aww!'' Damn, this brain freeze! I sigh. Let's take it easy for now...
I grabbed the water bottle in his hand and tried to open it-- I stopped, looking at the bottle. It's open already. Wait, what if he put something in here? I glanced, examining his face.
"I didn't put anything, I just opened it, nothing more." No, you think I'll believe you?
"I don't believe you." I said, not letting my guard down. He let out a small sigh before he spoke.
"I know, it was written in your face." He ate his remaining ice cream cone, and took the water and took a sip on the water bottle.
"Do you believe me now?" Tch! Am I overthinking too much? Let's try to relax a bit, no need to rush, I have a lot of time.
I grab the water bottle from his hand then I took a sip too. I also finished my ice cream. I saw him looking so excited. What the hell is he getting excited about? Creeps!
"So now, where to go next?" He stood up and looked around the mall. There's no next time mister, I'll leave this time.
"Wait, let me go to the bathroom first." He won't get suspicious, will he? I hope so.... Why won't he talk? He's just staring at me. My heart started racing once again.. Oh, damn! I will get caught!
There is this sensation again. Why am I getting this now? I tried to ignore it. Let's just focus.... Focus!
"Sure, let's go. I will wait for you outside."
"No! You don't have to! I mean, why do you have to come with me?" He chuckles softly and moves away, circling around me slowly.
"I'm just worried you might get lost."
A faint grin was visible on his lips and his eyes glimmering with a strange mixture of madness. He knew what I'm trying to do! My breathing slowly becomes unstable and my sight is getting blurry. Fuck this feeling! No, I have to escape!
"Are you alright? You look pale." It's okay, I'm going to escape no matter what. I tried to relax.. a little.. I breathed out and then I looked at him with a faint smile.
"There's no need, Flint, I'll come on my own, can you just wait here, please?" I begged, please say yes. I looked at him, hm? his mouth slightly parted, he looked astonished, and he had this expression I haven't seen before. Wait. Did I say something I shouldn't have? Is he mad? No, he doesn't look mad at all.
"Um... Flint?" I called.
"Ah. Right, of course!" He claps his hands and smiles at me gently. This one looks genuine, but I wouldn't let him sway me!
"Go ahead, I will wait for you here." What a relief!
"Thank you." He nodded. This is my chance! I took the paper bags and went straight in the direction of the bathroom.
"I have to change my clothes." I whisper, great timing! There's a group of girls here, I have to hurry. I took off my clothes and changed into one of the clothes from the department store. Good thing I picked some hat. He will find it difficult to recognize me easily.. Let's leave the paper bags here.
"And.... I'm done."
"Let's go girls." They're leaving! I fixed myself one more time, then I walked along with them. This way, he won't think that I've escaped already.
I followed them until I'm out of his sight. Good job! Let's hurry, I run as fast as I can to go outside the mall.
After a couple of runs, I am finally outside!!
"Please.... please..." I murmur, my whole body is shaking.. I called out for a taxi and after a few seconds, a white taxi came in my direction. I immediately went inside the car and told the driver the address.
"Please go to the xxxx building." He started the engine and drove.
I clenched my heart and loosen up a little. Waa! I feel like I can finally breathe now!
