It is the morning before my birthday, and I've been up since four re-reading the scattered notes my brother left behind ā each one of them leaving some sort of clue ā I think.Ā
As I've previously wrote, Atsuyo wrote suicide notes to each and everyone he knew and loved. Including me, my mother and father, Rosalin, Aika, Az, Yume-Mi, and some of his other friends from school or something.
From what I have gathered, each one of his notes written in blood, signed in blood, and had tear and blood stains on them were meant to be read bitterly; the words and the undertones were written in almost hatred.Ā
The one to our parents? Bitter.
The one to Rosa? Even worse.
The only genuinely sweet notes dedicated to somebody were for us siblings and ⦠Yume-Mi, his future girlfriend. The rest of the notes sounded neutral, consisting of simply pleasant memories and wishing them their best.
Rather than having bitter undertones or neutral voices, these notes written to us were signed by what appeared to be his blood. Granted the blood was disgusting, the thought is what counts. And the genuine commitment to the aspect of willing to sign off his name in his very own blood ā similar to that of a blood bond pact but one-sided. As siblings, in a way we already had a blood bond pact because we were all born with similar genetics.
In these notes, it's clear he didn't intend to be killed alongside Yume-Mi, or to be killed per-se period. He mentions he doesn't know how he dies, but he knows he's dead this time. I remember the officers mentioning that in his pocket at the scene, they found small love letters and a receipt for a promise ring and a bouquet of flowers with the tag saying;
"From, Atsuyo Saito"
"To, Yume-Mi ShaÅ."
"Note: Our love for eternity, and in memory of our love since middle school. May this gift find you before it is too late."
It became pretty clear:Ā
He was planning to go out with her.
But he knew he was going to die.
He was planning on asking her to be his official girlfriendā he had it all planned. Though, that's only one of the several tragic parts.
Another tragedy includes the memory of the murder scene; their bodies laid side by side, hand-in-hand ā and their blood fused into a heart shape underneath and around them. I never heard of a murder scene doing this.
That's when I realized, When blood does this, it signifies a blood bond. In order to enact one, each person must form some form of cut and mixing blood with each other's: these bonds symbolize the aspect of being forever and are usually sworn under a mutual oath of both parties.
Now, that's romantic.
Yet disgusting as hell.
However, I did notice the notes indicate he knew he was going to die ā one of the notes he wrote as I assume a draft predicted his death date and time ā in which, became very accurate.
16 September at Midnight.Ā
ā¦Ā ā¦Ā ā¦
The moment I read this, I knew there was more than meets the eye about this case.Ā
There was more than four gunshots and coincidentally going to an evil sorceress' place for the possible rest of my life.
Though, the question still floats: Why would it all lead back to the midnight of his eighteenth birthday? There's always more than the officers believe, but I can't approach them with this ā they'll think I'm delusional.
They'll think I'm trying to pin the blame on somebody that deems themselves innocent.Ā
There's no way I could present these notes to the police and get any solid results, especially considering I think they're sick of hearing from me.Ā
However, if they're not going to do their job, and if they're not going to take our testimonies seriously I'll open my own investigation. I'll solve the case myself.
I don't care if I'm turning twelve,Ā
I'm sick of being deemed like I'm some stupid kid who knows nothing about the evils of this world and who knows nothing about death.Ā
No matter what it takes,
justice will be served.Ā
We will seek victory.
Because if I have to sit here and watch my siblings and I suffer without answers,
I might as well kill myself and the family name will no longer go on.
I would rather die than see Atsuyo's death go undiscovered and what remains of what truly occurred that night go to waste.
