Chapter 26 - Episode 26: Morning Mayhem

The morning sunlight streamed through the windows of the Moretti estate, casting a warm glow over the opulent interior. Lily, still fast asleep, lay nestled in the plush blankets, her gentle snores a testament to the exhaustion of pregnancy.

Downstairs, the maids moved with quiet efficiency, their soft murmurs and clinking dishes filling the air as they went about their daily chores. Mrs. Jenkins, the stern but kind housekeeper, supervised the proceedings with a hawk's eye, ensuring every surface was spotless and every crease was perfectly ironed.

Meanwhile, Leo was already at the Moretti Luxury Real Estate Development headquarters, pouring over blueprints and financial reports as he prepared for a major meeting with potential investors. His mind was focused on the task at hand, but his heart remained with Lily, whom he had left sleeping peacefully that morning.

Marco, on the other hand, was at the private investment firm, a subsidiary of the Moretti empire, where he was negotiating a deal with a wealthy client. His charm and charisma were on full display as he worked to secure the investment, his mind razor-sharp and focused.

Back at the estate, Lily slowly came awake, feeling groggy and disoriented. She rubbed her eyes, trying to shake off the fogginess, and called out for Leo.

"I'm sorry, Mrs. Moretti," one of the maids replied, "but Mr. Leo left for work this morning. He said he'd be back for lunch."

Lily nodded, still feeling a bit out of it. "Okay...thank you."

As the maid bustled off to continue her chores, Lily lay back in bed, trying to gather her strength. She knew she needed to get up and start her day, but for now, she just couldn't seem to muster the energy.

Lily slowly swung her legs over the side of the bed, feeling a bit more alert with each passing moment. She took a deep breath, steadying herself, and stood up, her eyes scanning the room for her robe.

Just then, Mrs. Jenkins appeared at the door, a warm smile on her face. "Good morning, Mrs. Moretti! I brought you some breakfast in bed."

Lily's eyes lit up, and she felt a surge of gratitude toward the kind housekeeper. "Oh, thank you, Mrs. Jenkins! You're a lifesaver."

As Mrs. Jenkins set the tray down on the bedside table, Lily's phone buzzed with an incoming call from Leo. She smiled, feeling a flutter in her chest, and answered the call.

"Hey, beautiful," Leo's deep voice purred through the line. "How are you feeling today?"

Lily's heart swelled with love and affection for her husband. "I'm feeling a bit better, thanks for asking. Just a bit tired."

Leo's tone turned concerned. "Maybe you should take it easy today, then? I can come home early and keep you company."

Lily smiled, feeling grateful for Leo's love and care. "No, no, I'm fine. Really. I just need to get some rest."

As they chatted, Mrs. Jenkins discreetly slipped out of the room, leaving Lily to her breakfast and conversation with Leo.

As Lily finished her breakfast, she felt a surge of energy and decided to start her day. She got dressed and made her way downstairs, where she found Mrs. Jenkins busy in the kitchen.

"Good morning again, Mrs. Moretti!" Mrs. Jenkins exclaimed, as she expertly chopped vegetables for lunch. "I'm so glad to see you're feeling better."

Lily smiled warmly. "Thanks, Aunty. I'm feeling much better now."

Just then, Marco walked into the kitchen, a look of concentration on his face. "Hey, Lily. I need to talk to you about something."

Lily's curiosity was piqued. "What is it, Marco?"

Marco hesitated, choosing his words carefully. "It's about the business deal we're working on with Julian's company. I need your input on some of the design elements."

Lily's eyes lit up. "I'd love to help, Marco."

As they sat down at the kitchen table, pouring over designs and discussing the project, Lily felt a sense of purpose and fulfillment. She was grateful to be a part of the Moretti family's business ventures.

Aunty Jenkins bustled around the kitchen, preparing lunch and keeping a watchful eye on the pair. "Would you like some coffee or tea, dear?" she asked Lily.

Lily smiled. "Just water, please, Aunty."

Marco nodded, his eyes scanning the designs. "I think we should go with the modern aesthetic, Lily. It will appeal to a wider range of clients."

Lily nodded thoughtfully. "I agree. But we also need to consider the sustainability factor. We can't just focus on looks alone."

As they continued to discuss the project, Leo called Lily's phone, checking in and making her feel loved.

"Hey, beautiful," Leo's deep voice purred through the line. "How's your morning going?"

Lily's heart swelled with love and affection for her husband. "It's going great, thanks for asking. Marco and I are working on the project."

Leo's tone turned serious. "I'm glad to hear that. Tell Marco when i get home we both are discussing the project further over lunch but don't over work yourself OK. And don't join in, its not for you OK babe? ."

Lily smiled, feeling grateful for Leo's support and care. "Babe I'll be fine don't worry OK?. I'll see you soon."

As Lily hung up the phone, Marco looked up from the designs. "Everything okay?" he asked.

Lily nodded. "Yeah, Leo just called to check in. He wants to discuss the project over lunch with you."

Marco smiled. "Sounds like a plan. I'll make sure to have all the details ready."

As Lily and Marco continued to work on the project, the sound of laughter and chatter filled the kitchen, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Aunty Jenkins hummed a gentle tune as she worked, her eyes twinkling with warmth as she watched Lily and Marco collaborate.

The scent of freshly baked bread wafted from the oven, mingling with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, making the kitchen feel like the heart of the home.
