Chapter 141 - Chapter 141 — Angel Zhixin’s Favorability Toward Brandon White, and the Link Between Mystery and Technology

It was as if a shroud of mystery wrapped around its body; you couldn't see through it at all.

"Doraemon, like those armors and transformation devices, is something I manifested using my ability."

"Although he's entirely constructed from technology, you won't be able to analyze him."

Brandon White stepped forward and said this to Angel Zhixin.

Doraemon might be a high-tech creation whose every component is made of different technologies, but he had been manifested by Brandon with the power of the Mystery system. His body—and all the various pieces of "black technology" in his four-dimensional pocket—count as objects under the influence of the Mystery system.

There is simply no way to research that technology.

Otherwise, the Mouse Talisman wouldn't be worth just a million points.

It would be even more precious than the Infinity Stones.

Though in a certain sense, the effect the Mouse Talisman currently possesses would already be more valuable than the Infinity Stones in some people's eyes.

"And if you keep staring at Doraemon like that, you'll make him feel awkward."

At Brandon's words, Angel Zhixin finally snapped out of it and hurriedly apologized to Doraemon.

"Sorry, I didn't consider your feelings."

"It's okay!"

Doraemon scratched his head and said with a smile.

"Well then, Brandon, I'm going back to play games."

As he said this, he shot Brandon and Angel Zhixin a teasing look, then—under Brandon's helpless yet faintly amused gaze—returned to the room.

Even then, Angel Zhixin kept looking longingly at the retreating Doraemon.

Now she finally understood why Holy Kaisa and her master held Brandon in such high regard. Turning items from imagination into reality—such a level of technology was beyond even the angelic civilization, and they were still an unimaginably long way from reaching it.

Although Angel Yan had purchased the Twelve Talismans, not all of them were taken out for research. To be precise, only some of the more "interesting" abilities had been handed over to angels with stronger research capabilities.

For instance, to the Heavenly-Base King He Xi.

Therefore, she knew nothing about the Mouse Talisman.

In fact, Holy Kaisa and the Heavenly-Base King He Xi valued Brandon because of his own potential—whether it was the fact that, like Angel Yan, he had joined the chat group, or that he had been favored by the planet and granted the Natural Authority.

Beyond that, the most important factor was Brandon's inexplicably high compatibility with angels.

The data they had entered for Brandon hadn't included anything particularly special, and yet the terrifying data subsequently returned told them plainly that there was an extraordinary bond between Brandon White and the angelic civilization.

It was as if heaven had gifted the angelic civilization a present.

Even when the angels had participated in designing the Power of the Milky Way, and had included both the Holy Language Algorithm and Angel Wings, the compatibility hadn't come anywhere close to being this frightening.

Even now, they still had no idea why.

But not knowing the reason didn't mean they distrusted the data produced by the Holy Vault. Not even the Heavenly-Base King He Xi could deny that.

She merely disliked a love determined by data—yet she could not refute the accuracy of the Holy Vault.

Countless experiments had proved that what the Holy Vault analyzed often turned out to be an angel's ideal beloved!

From their point of view, investing in Brandon was a sure bet: at worst they'd break even, and at best they'd bring back a respectable male deity for the angelic civilization.

As for how Angel Zhixin felt after meeting Brandon:

Shy and delighted.

She didn't yet know Brandon well, but his nearly perfect face was something no female angel could resist.

Like her master, He Xi, Angel Zhixin was a face-connoisseur.

In the anime, when Angel Zhixin saw Reaper Karl, she had once said that he didn't have the face of a bad person. And at least for now, the impression Brandon gave her was… very good.

His looks surpassed even the male deity she had imagined in her heart.

"I remember they're called Pikachu—an Electric-type Pokémon."

"What an excellent physique. They're already not inferior to first-generation super soldiers; with their innate abilities, they could even match second-generation super soldiers."

As Angel Zhixin spoke, she quietly reached out to touch the two Pikachu who had leapt in front of her and were curiously studying her. Their smooth, sleek bodies made her unable to resist stroking them a couple more times.

"Pika pika."

"Pikachu."

The two Pikachu showed no resistance to Angel Zhixin's touch—in fact, they seemed to enjoy it immensely.

Just as the simple, good-natured qualities of Pokémon drew angels to them, the angels' justice and kindness drew Pokémon as well.

The two Pikachu narrowed their eyes in contentment, basking in Angel Zhixin's caresses.

One of them even took the initiative to hop up onto Angel Zhixin's shoulder and rub against her cheek.

Angel Zhixin couldn't help but laugh at this, and the way she looked at the two Pikachu was brimming with affection.

She cradled the other Pikachu in her hands and handled it with extreme gentleness, as if she were afraid of hurting it.

"You should have researched aura, that special kind of energy. It has a tremendous auxiliary effect on biological evolution."

"Even if someone has no abilities and doesn't cultivate, merely living within this space will extend their lifespan."

"Their daily food, if you took it outside, would be equivalent to heavenly treasures."

The Pikachu's food was made by compressing Berries he had nurtured with the aura of the pocket space—so dense with aura that it surpassed naturally grown heavenly treasures in the outside world.

If it weren't for the fact that they disliked fighting, and that the heavenly treasures they ate hadn't been fully digested, their strength would certainly be far beyond this level.

Brandon, however, didn't mind. From beginning to end, he had never intended for the Pikachu to fight.

To him, Pikachu were companions in daily life; just watching them made his mood involuntarily improve.

He was also considering whether to purchase another batch of Pokémon and keep them in his portable space. After all, a place that large could easily house a few Pokémon.

That way, Pikachu wouldn't feel lonely.

"Pikachu."

Hearing Brandon's words, the Pikachu who had been nuzzling Angel Zhixin hopped back onto Brandon's shoulder and rubbed its face against his, acting spoiled.

"You little rascal—can't I even talk about it?"

Brandon couldn't help but smile, stroking Pikachu's head with eyes full of fondness.

Holding the other Pikachu, Angel Zhixin watched Brandon. The scene made her think, So the male deity really is kind.

Someone who could be loved and depended upon so much by Pokémon could never be a bad person.

Time flowed quietly by. After that, Brandon and Angel Zhixin exchanged views to a certain extent on science and mystery.

Whether mystery or science, there must inevitably be a point where the two intersect; once that point is reached, whether you call it mystery or science no longer matters.
