Chapter 15 - “The Boy Who Changed Our Son”

Boss's Family Drama Begins

It was meant to be just another day at school.

Sea had finally smiled at Boss—just a little, shy and unsure. But it was the realest thing Boss had ever seen. He wanted to frame that smile, tattoo it into his memory. He'd even skipped a fight just to walk Sea halfway home like a silent shadow.

But the calm?

Didn't last.

Because the next morning, two luxury black cars pulled up outside the school gates.

And from them stepped Mr. and Mrs. Park.

The entire campus seemed to hold its breath. Everyone knew the names—powerful, untouchable, and dangerously rich. Rumors had always swirled about Boss's father, about his violent empire, his unshakable control, his ruthless nature. But this was the first time they had come in person. Uninvited.

And their reason?

Sea.

---

In the Headmaster's office...

Sea sat stiffly, hands on his knees, eyes low.

Boss stood behind him, arms crossed, cold rage brewing in his jaw. He hadn't wanted Sea anywhere near his family. Not yet. Not like this.

Mr. Park's gaze was sharp, but curious. Like Sea was some rare animal he didn't quite understand.

"This is him?" he asked.

Boss nodded once.

His mother leaned forward, her voice delicate, but dangerous. "You like him. Enough to ignore our business. Our deals. You skipped a family meeting last night for him."

"I don't owe you an explanation," Boss said flatly.

"You do," his father snapped. "If a boy is changing you this fast, we need to know who he is."

Sea's eyes widened, finally lifting his gaze. "I didn't mean to cause—"

Boss's hand dropped to Sea's shoulder in silent warning.

"Don't apologize for my choices," he said, voice low, protective. "You don't have to explain yourself to them."

Mrs. Park arched a brow. "That's sweet. But let's be honest, darling. This one's not like us. What can a poor boy offer someone like you?"

Sea flinched. Boss's hand tightened.

"I wasn't asking for your opinion," Boss said coldly.

Silence.

Tension.

Power crackling like static in the air.

---

When they finally left, Mr. Park pulled Boss aside.

"If he becomes your weakness," he warned, "you won't live long enough to protect him."

Boss didn't blink.

"I don't have weaknesses," he said.

"But if I did… I'd burn this whole fucking city before I let anyone touch him."

---

Sea stood outside the office, shaken.

Boss stepped up behind him, his voice soft this time. "They won't touch you. No one will. Not while I'm alive."

Sea looked up, scared—but also something else. That warmth again. That disbelief.

Boss took his hand.

Just for a second.

---

And the storm was only just beginning.

Because the world?

Was watching now.

And someone in Boss's family?

Wasn't happy he was falling in love.
