Chapter 21 - “Silent Rebellion”

Sea didn't answer his calls.

Didn't reply to his messages.

Didn't even look at him through the window the few times Boss passed by his street.

The silence wasn't accidental.

It was intentional. Calculated. Meant to hurt.

And it was working.

Boss didn't say a word to anyone that week, not even Nick. His smile was gone. The school's chaos died with it. He walked like a ghost—intimidating, untouchable, deadly silent.

Even the girls who usually swooned at his presence felt the storm rolling off him and cleared the hallways like he was radioactive.

But he couldn't stop thinking about Sea.

Sea's hands.

Sea's voice.

Sea's eyes—the last time they looked at him, there was something new there.

Not fear.

Not love.

Something worse.

Disappointment.

---

Meanwhile…

Sea sat in his dim room, wearing Boss's hoodie without realizing it.

Every time he inhaled, he could still smell him. That expensive cologne. That dangerous scent. It made his skin tingle and ache in a way that scared him.

He wanted Boss.

But he wanted peace more.

His hands shook as he deleted the last message Boss sent:

> "You think this is a game, Sea?"

It wasn't a game.

It was war.

---

Nick noticed first.

Boss didn't show up for lunch. Again.

He found him in the dark music room, sitting with his back to the door, one hand tugging at his hair, the other gripping Sea's sketchbook like it was holy scripture.

> "You gonna keep pretending like you're okay?" Nick asked quietly.

Boss didn't respond.

Nick stepped forward. "He's just a boy, bro—"

> "Don't say that," Boss snapped, low and growling. "Don't ever say that again. He's not just anything."

Nick raised a brow. "Then what is he?"

Boss's voice dropped to a whisper, like it hurt to admit it.

> "He's mine."

---

That night...

Sea cried.

Just a little.

Under the moonlight, behind the curtain, biting his lip as if keeping quiet would help him keep control. He couldn't erase Boss from his skin, from his mind.

But he had to.

Because Boss was chaos.

And Sea had already drowned once before in someone's chaos.

He promised himself he'd never do it again.

---

And Boss?

He sat in his black car outside Sea's house… again.

He didn't knock.

He didn't text.

He just stared at the door.

> "You'll come back," he whispered to the darkness.

"Because you belong to me. Even if I have to break you just to put you back together."
