"A Jedi? Hehe. I didn't expect an extra prize here." The Grand Inquisitor sneered. He had seen the lightsaber in Amir's hand.
"I didn't expect an extra prize either. This time I can add two more Inquisitor lightsabers to my collection." Amir walked up to the two. Who doesn't know how to talk trash before a fight?
Hearing Amir's words, the Fifth Brother's eyes instantly locked onto Amir's.
"It's you!"
He suddenly remembered the encounter on the prison ship. He had faced a Togruta female, while the Seventh Sister had encountered a human. That was when Seventh Sister's lightsaber had been taken.
And this wasn't their first meeting. He had crossed paths with this Jedi in the secret research base on Coruscant.
"Long time no see. How about you two come at me together? I'm in a hurry to leave," Amir said, taking his opening stance.
"Hehehe... I've heard of you. Who is your master, young Jedi? Tell me, and I might spare your life." As the Grand Inquisitor spoke, two double-bladed spinning lightsabers snapped open with a piercing hum.
The group of children startled and huddled closer to the ship.
Vvmm~
A green blade extended from Amir's lightsaber. Hearing this familiar sound, Amir's heart grew calmer.
This would be his first battle against other Force users since he had truly begun his formal training.
The Grand Inquisitor and the Fifth Brother began to close in on Amir. They seemed very relaxed. In their eyes, an apprentice in this era could only be on the run, with no time to train properly. This fight held no suspense; it would just be a one-sided humiliation.
Amir deliberately retreated, drawing the two away from the Traveler. This only reinforced the Inquisitors' opinion. He's already afraid!
Suddenly, Amir stood still and pressed a button on his wristguard. The Traveler's ramp hissed and began to lower slowly.
From around the corner, Mona, carrying Milisen, ran out hunched over, moving quickly toward the ship. At the same time, she shouted to the other children.
"Get on the ship, quick!"
After a moment's hesitation, facing the terrifying aura emanating from the two Inquisitors, the children decided to listen to Mona and all scrambled up the ramp.
"It seems you still want to leave?" the Fifth Brother said. He didn't care about the small movements behind him. As long as they quickly dealt with this Jedi, the ship and the test subjects would be theirs for the taking.
Seeing that the children were all on board, Amir assumed the classic defensive stance of Form III.
He realized a problem: none of these children knew how to pilot a starship!
This meant that if he wanted to escape, he had to enter the ship, get to the cockpit, and start the engines—all while the ship was completely stationary. Even if he could close the ramp, that was no obstacle for a lightsaber!
During this process, the two Inquisitors would have already followed him onto the ship and started a massacre.
BOOM!!!
Another violent lurch shook the deck. With this tremor, the surrounding electrical circuits seemed to be affected. The lights began to flicker! Even the atmospheric shield at the hangar entrance separating it from the void began to destabilize.
Once the shield shattered, the entire hangar would be exposed to the vacuum in an instant. Under the pressure difference, everything would be sucked out. A fragile human body would be instantly torn apart and then frozen into ice crystals!
Amir moved. The shaking hadn't stopped, and the Inquisitors were still steadying themselves.
He struck at the Fifth Brother. The green blade aimed straight for the center of the double-bladed spinning hilt. That was the weapon's weakest point. If the emitter ring was destroyed, the enemy would lose a significant part of his combat power.
But the Fifth Brother didn't just wait for Amir to strike. He took a step back and used one of his red blades to parry Amir's attack.
At this moment, the Grand Inquisitor also steadied himself and activated the rotation mechanism. In an instant, his lightsaber became a giant fan of death, its high-speed rotating blades blurring into a red disk.
Anything that touched this disk would be sliced apart like tofu.
Seeing the spinning blade coming at him, Amir quickly switched his posture. Before the Grand Inquisitor could raise his hand and fully commit his strength, Amir precisely interrupted the attack with a swift strike to the Inquisitor's guard.
Amir immediately felt a huge force transmit along the blade to his wrist, almost making him drop his weapon!
The high-speed rotating blade carried too much kinetic energy!
At this point, both opponents had adjusted their stances and quickly advanced to attack. Two blades per person, a total of four blades, pressed down on Amir from all sides.
In his Force perception, the trajectories of the lightsabers even began to blur. They were too fast. Especially the Grand Inquisitor; it was as if he had completely abandoned defense. His saber style revealed a crazed rhythm, each attack aimed at a fatal spot.
Amir swung his lightsaber with precision, parrying every one of the enemy's attacks, seemingly with ease. This all relied on his superior Force perception. Every time the enemy swung, he could predict the blade's impending position by the subtle shifts in their body language, and thus use Form III's defensive techniques to block it.
Before, when he hadn't learned any saber forms, Amir had used this exact method to withstand the combined attacks of the Fifth Brother and Seventh Sister.
Now, dealing with them was even easier.
Amir instantly felt the joy of Form III. His precognitive senses and the defensive mastery of Soresu were a perfect match.
This was something others simply couldn't learn easily. It required extremely strong Force perception and high-speed mental processing.
For a moment, the two Inquisitors grew anxious. How could this apprentice be so troublesome! He was like a solid block of Beskar, impossible to cut through. And every time he used his lightsaber to parry an attack, it was right when they had just raised their swords and were beginning to exert force. Their strength was interrupted before it could be fully unleashed!
It was like being in the middle of a yawn and having an entire Hutt shoved in your mouth!
It was too frustrating!
Both of them were now experiencing what General Grievous must have felt when facing Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Although it was a stalemate, this was extremely disadvantageous for Amir. This fighting style consumed a great deal of his mental energy. Besides, time was crucial. He had to break away, get rid of these two Inquisitors before the Exogorth destroyed the cruiser, and escape with the children!
Amir didn't believe enemy reinforcements wouldn't come. The combat droids along the way had constantly converged to intercept him. Right now, fending off these two was his limit. If just a few more droids stood to the side and fired at him, the balance he was struggling to maintain would be instantly shattered, and Amir would be in extreme danger.
He had to take the offensive! At the very least, take one of them out!
