Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: Returning Home

Amir yawned as he sat in the pilot's seat of the spaceship. This mission had been dangerous, and he had nearly lost his life. It was better to play it safe.

However, he had encountered the old man, Ascot, and obtained some information.

"He said they wouldn't let me go. Who are they? He also told me that I would find the answers at the Imperial Military Academy. What are those answers?"

"Beep beep beep!"

"Thanks, BD-4. I'm not confused. I'm just curious about some things." After all, these were matters concerning his own origins. Now, aside from the memories of his previous life, he was the master of this body.

Lensis had been assigned to a guest room to rest. Senir sent a message to Amir, instructing him to send the blue elf to an unknown space station.

The coordinates had been sent, and Amir was adjusting the route.

"What should we name this spaceship?" Amir asked BD-4.

BD-4 emitted a questioning tremor.

"Robots really have no artistic sense," Amir laughed.

BD-4 began to emit rapid, staccato sounds, indicating anger.

Amir stopped teasing the little robot and looked up at the distant stars stretching endlessly into the sky. They were a dazzling, pure beauty, flickering like eternal beacons for those traveling through this starry sky.

Suddenly, Amir felt a chill and tightened his clothes.

"Hurry up and send the Smurfs over. I want to go back to Coruscant."

"Ding dong!"

"Don't ask me what Smurfs are again."

The spaceship floating in the vacuum turned into a stream of light and entered hyperspace.

"How about we call it 'The Traveler'?"

"Ding!"

Senir stood on the space station platform and watched the spaceship slowly pass through the protective shield separating it from the air. He crossed his arms and walked toward the spaceship's door.

"Hehehehe!" Before the entrance valve had fully lowered, Senir's signature laugh reached Amir's ears. Amir saw Senir glance at Lensis before looking at him again.

"Congratulations, Amir. You've returned victorious," Senir said with a smile.

Amir knew that a smiling dog was the most dangerous kind—just like Lensis, the Smurf he had just saved, who clearly had no idea what was coming.

After recovering from his trauma on the spaceship, Lensis began exuding an aura of superiority, but Senir didn't seem inclined to indulge him.

The two assassin robots beside Senir pointed their blaster guns at Lensis's head, signaling him to move inside.

"What are you doing, Senir? We were just—" Lensis instantly returned to his original state, all the momentum he had built up vanishing in an instant.

Senir ignored Lensis completely and continued looking at Amir, saying, "Don't you have anything you want to ask me?"

"If you want to say it, you'll say it. If not, I'm not really interested."

"Hehe! That's exactly what I expected you to say." He paused for a moment. Lensis had already been pushed to the back. "What do you think of the Rebel Army?"

"I've never heard of that small organization. What's there to judge?" Amir said casually.

"I actually admire them quite a bit." Senir showed a rare seriousness.

"Then why don't you just join them?"

"Haha, I've thought about it, but they're not worthy yet." At that moment, he fully revealed his ambition. "Of course, I'm not strong enough either."

"Do as you please. Just don't forget to help your brother out when you make it big," Amir said, already heading toward the spaceship.

"All right then. I hope you like your new spaceship. By the way, we've worked together many times. I hope you'll consider me a friend."

"Of course. Goodbye, Senir."

'The Traveler' slowly departed from the abandoned space station and headed toward the starry sea.

Amir thought of Senir's squid-like face covered in tentacles and suddenly felt curious about what role Senir would play in the star wars.

He didn't dislike such people, but he couldn't say he liked them, either. As long as he was cautious and didn't get betrayed, working with this old-timer would definitely be profitable.

Amir had a special talent: he could sense others' ill will. That's why he dared to accept Senir's commission and knew his final words weren't entirely polite.

In the hall of a spaceship, Ahsoka stood before a holographic projector.

The figure projected onto the screen wore a tight-fitting robe, making it difficult to discern the contours of its face.

"We've got another unexpected find," Ahsoka said, holding up the holographic recorder. "All the abandoned bases, ancient ruins, and even Mandalorian camps from the Republic era are marked here. If we screen them carefully, we'll have a fixed base to start from!"

"Excellent! Ahsoka, this is crucial for us. Thank you for your efforts. I'll dispatch several teams to assist you in investigating these locations."

"Lieu Bloom sacrificed himself for this," came a deep male voice from the other side.

"I had already given up on it, but who knew that Bloom would go to such lengths?" Ahsoka was silent for a moment. "Otherwise, this thing would have probably fallen into the hands of the Black Sun or the Empire."

"Don't be too sad, Ahsoka. I'm also to blame for the mission in Coruscant. I agreed to let them act rashly without first assessing the enemy's strength."

"Let's not talk about that. By the way, a mysterious person in Coruscant gave us a lot of information and helped us a lot."

"A mysterious person?"

"Yes. He sent Amir to help us stop the ship during the rescue mission. A space interference device isn't something you can just find anywhere. It's hard to find, even in a fleet. We never figured out who he was. I have this feeling he was testing us."

"I understand. I'll keep an eye out for him."

"All right, that's all. Be careful."

Ahsoka hung up, touched her lightsaber, and gripped her holocorder tightly.

A disc-shaped, modified cargo ship emerged from hyperspace on the outskirts of Coruscant.

The ship activated its optical cloaking and shut down all signal-emitting devices, leaving only the power system running. The ship disappeared completely from the Empire's view.

Amir slowly flew the Traveler into the designated port after doing this.

He activated the BD-4 switch—yes, the BD-4 was also a signal-emitting device—and the two headed toward the repair shop owned by the Mers couple.

Twilight was greeting Coruscant, with orange-yellow light cascading over the planet's rooftops and infusing the cold, steel city with a hint of warmth. Though brief, this moment was always Amir's favorite, especially now.
