The year 1782 brought hard times to Transylvania. This land was then ruled by the Austrian Habsburg Empire. A terrible hunger spread across the area. There was very little food. Crops died, and farm animals perished. Everyone in every village felt hungry. Sickness also came quickly, taking many lives. It felt like all hope was gone.
Then, when all seemed lost, help came from the hidden valleys. The Dracula family, a name whispered with both fear and awe, stepped out from the shadows. Unknown to most, they were incredibly wealthy and ancient, tied to Transylvania for generations. They brought wagons filled with grain, meat, and medicine to a small suffering town.
They fed the starving, healed the sick, and brought peace to broken homes. But their kindness came with a strange price: in return for their protection, the people gave blood. It was no ordinary gift. This blood gave the Draculas strength for they were vampires.
Still, the people agreed. Desperate and grateful, they made the trade willingly. A secret pact was formed between humans and vampires, one built on survival, need, and quiet trust. The Draculas grew stronger with each offering. Their influence spread quickly.
1783, the nation of Drakovia is Born
Only a year later, the Dracula family had become powerful beyond imagination. With the full support of the people, they did the unthinkable: they declared independence from Austria and formed a new nation Drakovia.
Word of this bold act reached Vienna fast. The Habsburgs, furious at the loss of their land and authority, sent their armies to crush the rebellion. But they were not ready for what awaited them. The Draculas didn't fight like ordinary men. They were clever, fast, and strong. Their human allies, hardened by hunger and war, stood firm beside them.
The Austria–Drakovia War was brief but brutal. In the end, Austria was forced to accept defeat. A treaty was signed. The empire had no choice but to recognize Drakovia as a sovereign nation.
1783 / DARENLOUN (ONCE KLAUSENBURG) / DRAKOVIA
In the capital city once known as Klausenburg, now renamed Darenloun, the streets overflowed with joy.
On a wooden platform, under the grey sky, Darenloun Dracula Alexandrescu, the vampire prince and new leader of Drakovia, stood tall. Behind him, his vampire guards stood silent and proud, their eyes glowing faintly in the dim light.
Before him, a crowd of thousands filled the square. These were not just survivors—they were now citizens of a new land. Their faces were filled with awe, relief, and rising hope.
Darenloun spoke, his voice calm and powerful:
"People of Transylvania
Today, we do not stand as conquerors, but as protectors.
The war is over. Transylvania is free.
The Habsburgs, who brought years of hunger, pain, and silence to our land, have been defeated.
We did not leave the shadows to rule with fear. We came to bring hope to heal what was broken, and to protect those who had been forgotten.
This victory is not mine alone. It belongs to the farmer who planted seeds in dead soil. To the mother who held her hungry child through cold nights. To the child who survived when everything else was lost.
From this day forward, Drakovia will serve its people. We will rebuild. We will rise. And we will show the world that even in the deepest darkness, a new light can be born."
The crowd erupted with cheers. Applause rang out. Joy echoed through the city.
Euven, a young vampire standing at the edge of the square, smiled as he watched the people celebrate. Deep in his heart, he knew: the people would come to truly love the Draculas not out of fear, but because they had saved them
