Chapter 24: Code of Silence and Comedic Cover-Ups
Star City. Where wedding planning gets interrupted by supervillain dads and explosive surprises. "Seriously, Felicity, you couldn't have picked a less dramatic time to plan a wedding? It's like you're actively trying to attract villains. Or maybe you just have a very specific taste in chaos," Adam mused, teleporting into a discreet corner of the Arrow Cave.
[SYSTEM: Temporal Jump Complete. Destination: Star City. Objective: Observe Arrow S04E14: "Code of Silence". Suggestion: Utilize Technopathy for comedic interference with villainous plans.]
"Comedic interference? System, you understand my artistic vision," Adam thought, a wicked gleam in his eye. He knew The Calculator, Felicity's dad, was back, and he was bringing a whole new level of tech-based villainy to the party.
He found Felicity and Curtis, looking stressed, trying to plan their wedding while simultaneously dealing with a potential global catastrophe.
"You know," Adam said, appearing right next to Felicity, making her jump. "This whole 'wedding planning during a supervillain attack' thing? It's a bold choice. But I'm thinking, for the reception, you definitely need a giant, inflatable rubber chicken. Adds a certain… je ne sais quoi."
Felicity glared at him. "Adam! How?! And we are not having a giant rubber chicken at our wedding!"
"Suit yourself," Adam shrugged. "But you're missing out on some serious comedic potential. Also, your wedding planner app? It's a little… bland." He snapped his fingers, and Felicity's tablet, displaying her wedding plans, suddenly flickered to show a series of ridiculous, over-the-top wedding suggestions: a ceremony on the moon, a reception with trained bears, a cake shaped like the Bat-Signal.
Felicity stared at the tablet, then at Adam, then back at the tablet. "My… my app! What did you do?!"
"Me? Nah," Adam replied innocently. "Must be a new feature. Or maybe your app just has a very discerning taste in absurd nuptials."
Later, as The Calculator unleashed his latest creation – a bomb designed to cause widespread chaos – Adam knew it was time to intervene. Felicity was frantically trying to disarm it.
"Alright, Calculator, time for a little… disco inferno," Adam thought. He focused on the bomb's internal mechanisms.
[SYSTEM: Technopathy used. Target: Calculator's Device. Effect: Temporary Malfunction. Outcome: Positive (for Team Arrow).]
Suddenly, the bomb, instead of detonating, activated a giant, shimmering disco ball that dropped from the ceiling, bathing the room in rainbow lights. Cheesy 70s disco music blared from the device, and a tiny, holographic John Travolta appeared, doing the iconic finger-point dance.
The Calculator, mid-monologue, stopped dead. His eyes, usually gleaming with maniacal glee, widened in utter bewilderment. "My… my bomb! It's… it's a party?!"
Felicity, momentarily distracted by the sheer absurdity, used the opening to finally disarm the device.
"You're welcome, Team Arrow," Adam thought, dispelling the disco ball and the tiny Travolta. "Sometimes, the best offense is a good dose of synchronized dancing and bad music."

Adam grinned. "Boom! Global catastrophe averted, and a villain thoroughly confused. This is what I call a good day's work."
He teleported away, leaving a bewildered Team Arrow to deal with their disarmed bomb and the lingering scent of disco. "Oliver's probably going to blame aliens. Again. It's always aliens with him. Or maybe he'll just blame the 70s."
