Chapter 8 - The worthless commoner... Huh??

Damn broooo…

I'm super attractive, that's why.

I'm really so hot.

That's just it.

I must be…

That's how my very first lunchtime in the academy felt.

It was obviously cool.

I went to class, but there was this really unspoken energy in me.

Like—why are they all silent the moment I enter the class?

I just sat blatantly, leaning back and covering my face with my uniform.

I just slept like that... no need to overdo it.

The teacher came in — this time, it was another teacher.

He entered the room, standing tall, looked at everyone… then saw me and smirked.

I was still sleeping.

For the second time…

The princess herself woke me up.

Her hands were gently warm — to the point I faked a deep sleep just so she'd use both hands to wake me.

I just played along and woke up.

The teacher said,

"Let me guess… you're a commoner?"

The moment I opened my eyes —

"It's none of your business, is it?"

I said, still looking down.

He laughed.

"Hahaha, you commoners are all the same. I can tell you apart by your filthy face and your clothes."

I simply goofed at it, just trying to end the chat.

I said,

"GENIUS... GOOD JOB... YOU DESERVE A THUMB OR TWO."

Everyone laughed at him.

But I wasn't.

I was so touched by the princess's laugh.

She laughed lightly, hiding her face — but it felt like an angel's touch.

The teacher said,

"Didn't anyone teach you etiquette, you worthless scum?"

"Watch it… since 'worthless scum'... isn't etiquette."

I smiled at him.

Then I added — just to make things worse,

"Does anyone here disagree with me?"

The class went silent.

Eyes on the teacher.

No one dared to make a sound.

So I was this much threatening?

Maybe it's my face — hot, but scary-hot too…

The teacher shouted,

"ENOUGH... Nonsense! Get out of the class now!"

I fell for your trick, didn't I?

I was playing along to fall for your plan.

He might seem angry or mad or whatever, but he's not.

He set it up so I'd curse him with words — so he could take me to the principal's office.

But I don't care.

Since I actually wanted it to happen.

I've gotten the hang of that teacher.

And I need him gone — I'll expel this teacher.

That's it for now.

Let's call Ed.

I just stood up and said,

"Don't keep me waiting, teacher!! I'm going to the principal's office."

I got out of there, slowly walking.

But then…

The lights ascended right into my face.

Zia Eliott...

She was coming right in front of me.

So I just passed her.

Don't get me wrong.

I'm just not into complicated stuff.

I don't wanna cause a scene. This is getting frustrating.

Zia:

"So… you remember my name."

After I walked past her, I didn't turn.

I said, "Zia, was it?"

She jumped on me.

Back-hugged me.

The touch was immensely warm, almost covering my back.

She stood up, looking at my neck.

"By the way, where are you going, Jane?"

"To... to the principal's office."

"Wait… is the principal into you as well?"

…What the heck is she saying?

Why would the principal—

Anyway, what does 'as well' mean…?

Ohh…

Give me a break.

Does she like me too or what?

Doesn't matter anyway.

I better tell her the truth.

"Yeah, the teacher kinda called me worthless commoner and jerk stuff... haa... so I spoke for myself and now I'm in trouble because of it."

"Why did he call you that?"

Woooah…

Is she interrogating me or something?

She's pushing herself onto me.

"It's because I was sleeping."

"I wanna really see you sleep. That teacher's a jerk. I wish I was there…

WE COULD HAVE SLEPT TOGETHER!"

…What the—

I'm losing my sanity here.

Is she really a noble?

"Nah. I'd rather sleep alone."

"But why?"

"Because it's just a nap."

"You meanie…"

Finally, she let go of me.

"So anyway, let's go to the principal's office."

That's what I wanted.

While we walked slowly there, the teacher got out, called the morning teacher to substitute for him, and got to the principal's office before me — just to blame me for being late.

---

In the Principal's Office

The teacher was sitting down, a worried man's hands on his forehead.

"Principal, I fear he will ruin the reputation of the nobles here. The way he acts and talks — he cursed me with words! Aren't I older than him? Shouldn't he respect me?"

"I understand that," the principal said, "but don't worry. If what you say turns out to be right, I won't just scare him off with words."

At the same time, Emily was right in front of the teacher.

The principal's office had two parallel sofas on the sides, face to face. They were seated.

The teacher — a lowly pervert — was trying to peek at her short skirt.

He sat with his hands on his knees, bent his back, and covered his face with his hands — all just to hide that he was peeking.

Suddenly—

Zia opened the door wide open.

She saw the teacher doing it.

She walked straight to him and slapped his face.

SLAP!

"What do you think you're doing, you perv!?"

And she slapped him again, holding his necktie.

The principal said,

"Enough, Zia. Stop it now."

Teacher:

"What is wrong with this— Holy cow! You're… the student Zia from the Eliott family!?"

Zia:

"Well, it won't be hard to guess her as well. She's from the Roselia family — Emily."

Teacher:

"No way… shit… ohh… Principal, there he is!"

—pointing at me—

He said it.

I just stood there.

Emily saw me.

Emily:

"Wait… the student you were talking about was Jane!? How dare you..."

Zia:

"This guy must be expelled! I'll tell Dad."

Emily:

"Yeah, I guess so. I'll tell Dad about this perverted act of yours too."

Teacher:

"Noooo... nooo... I did nothing wrong! Please hear me out… please hear me out!"

Principal:

"No need to take it that far, girls. I will expel him myself.

You're fired. Get out."

Teacher:

"Nooo... nooo... principal, hear me out! Please hear me out... please...!

Principal, without me the school is— principal, please hear me out!"

Principal:

"'Get out' is a word I actually don't want to repeat."

Teacher:

"You… you worthless commoner scum… you… must die... die... worthless... die...!"

He ran for my throat.

I just stood there.

Why should I move — when the principal, the strongest in the school, is right in front of me?

I don't know how…

But he—

DASHED!! Right in front of me and punched the teacher's head downward.

The teacher's face was slammed to the ground.

He rolled.

Principal:

"What's your name, young one?"

"My name is Jane."

"Good. Now Jane, sorry for what happened. Just sit over there while I finish this mess."

Zia:

"No! That's not enough, principal. If you punch him again, I won't tell Dad. Otherwise, I will."

Emily:

"For me too."

Principal:

"Well, I'd like that, but you see, girls…

Another punch and he'll die."
