Chapter 2 - 002 Killing Five Hundred People and Seizing Power

Goa Kingdom – Royal Capital, Royal Guard Headquarters

"Grand Duke Outlook assassinated the King and Prince? Impossible! Absolutely impossible!"

"The entire Outlook family has been executed?"

"No! Your Highness, you must've been misled! The Grand Duke would never betray the crown!"

"I don't believe this! Everyone, charge! Slay the traitors and protect the Princess!"

...

The entire Royal Capital Guard was now quietly split into three factions

The neutralists, confused and uncertain, held their positions without taking sides;

The royalists, loyal to the Princess, stood ready to defend her to the end;

And the rebels, made up of Duke Outlook III's trusted officers, loyal soldiers, and even some of his distant relatives, refused to believe the Grand Duke had died—let alone committed treason.

In the midst of the growing tension, Princess Sarie and William Weltz, both dressed in regal attire, appeared atop a building not far from the rebel forces.

"My King," Princess Sarie said softly, her voice carrying in the wind,

"Can you show them your strength?"

She wanted to end the chaos quickly, to stabilize the capital and also build momentum behind William Weltz as the new ruler.

Her man, the future King could not be seen as just some lucky upstart.

He needed to be a hero.

William looked down at the sea of armed soldiers.

"So many soldiers… this could be tricky," he said with a faint smile.

"But not too difficult."

William Weltz, dressed in noble robes with a long saber at his waist, walked calmly and confidently toward the agitated Rebel Army.

"That's him! The traitor who tricked the Princess, kill him!"

The rebel general, Outlook Ampera, quickly gave the order.

A dense barrage of cannon fire roared out, all aimed straight at William Weltz.

"Oi~ Dense cannon fire is my weakness," William muttered casually, his eyes flashing.

He took a deep breath—

Then, in the next second, his body was swallowed by countless bullets and explosions.

"We got him! He's an idiot after all!"

Ampera burst into laughter, stunned by how easily the arrogant man had been defeated.

The moment William first appeared with his noble bearing and calm presence, Ampera had been genuinely nervous.

But it turned out to be nothing, just empty bluffing.

A false alarm.

He stared at the smoke and fire where William had just stood, feeling more confident by the second.

If the main branch of the Outlook family really had been wiped out…

Then as a collateral relative, he could inherit their forces.

Maybe just maybe he could marry the Princess himself… and become the new King!

The thought sent his blood rushing.

Ampera's breathing grew heavy, his eyes turned red with excitement, and he looked hungrily at Princess Sarie standing in the distance.

He never imagined…

That he might rise to power overnight.

"General… he's still standing!"

"He's a monster!"

"Is he… a Logia-type Devil Fruit user, like in the legends?"

"You mean like Captain Smoker from Loguetown?!"

...

Panic broke out among the rebel soldiers.

Their enemy, was he really one of those untouchable Logia users?

Cold sweat instantly formed on Duke Outlook Ampera's forehead.

Just moments ago, he had been daydreaming of power and the throne. Now, fear gripped him.

A Logia-type user… in the Goa Kingdom?

How were they supposed to fight something like that?

Even their strongest guns and cannons had no effect.

Weren't people like this supposed to be Marine generals… or fearsome pirates out at sea?

Why was someone like that here?

Ampera's confidence collapsed, replaced by dread.

Amidst the smoke and fading cannon fire, William Weltz calmly walked forward, completely unharmed.

His figure flickered through the haze, invincible and unstoppable.

As the last echoes of the bombardment faded, William raised one hand.

A mysterious field of swirling energy spread out around him.

Then came the words, cool and clear:

"Domain: Banishment."

In an instant, a strange void spread out, engulfing the entire rebel army

All under the stunned gaze of Princess Sarie and the Royal Guard.

The rebel soldiers began to mysteriously vanish, one by one, from their positions as William Weltz moved forward at a steady pace.

"It's that strange ability again!"

Princess Sarie's eyes widened in surprise. She had seen this before

Back in the palace, William had made a group of guards disappear the same way. They later reappeared one by one, only to be cut down by his blade.

But she never imagined he could now make hundreds of soldiers vanish all at once.

"Where did General Ampera and the others go?"

Both royalist and neutralist officers stared in horror as the rebel army slowly vanished before their eyes.

A chill ran down their spines.

This mysterious man, soon to be their Princess's husband not only ignored bullets and cannon fire but could also erase people from existence.

It was terrifying.

A few breaths later—

As William reached the area where the soldiers had been, one rebel suddenly reappeared with a rifle in hand.

Before he could even react, William slashed him down. Blood sprayed across the stone floor.

The next moment, another soldier reappeared, this one with a blade.

William turned and struck with a smooth backhand, dropping him instantly.

Then it happened again.

One by one, the rebel soldiers began to reappear…

And one by one, they were cut down, like NPCs respawning into a death loop.

The scene was surreal.

It sent a wave of fear through the watching Royal Guard soldiers, both the loyalists and the neutralists alike.

...

To the rebel soldiers, it was a nightmare.

All they saw was William Weltz raising his hand

And in the blink of an eye, he appeared beside them, cutting them down with a saber.

Before losing consciousness, all they felt was pain and confusion.

The enemy couldn't be hurt by bullets… and could teleport?

How were they supposed to fight that?

Worse still, their surroundings were eerily empty.

There were no comrades standing beside them.

Not one.

If they had known it would be this terrifying, they would never have followed General Ampera.

They would never have agreed to become the Duke Outlook family's private army.

If they had a second chance, they would have walked a very different path.

...

The slaughter continued in its eerie rhythm.

William Weltz moved like a phantom, cutting down rebel soldiers one by one, as if they were nothing more than newly spawned wild monsters in a game.

Blood flowed freely, forming dark streams across the stone floor.

At last, the final figure appeared, General Ampera himself.

Without hesitation, William lunged forward and pierced his heart with a clean thrust.

His chest heaving, William stood still for a moment.

His breathing was rapid, and his hands, still gripping the bloodstained saber, trembled slightly.

Maintaining his ability while cutting down hundreds of enemies had taken a serious toll.

Thankfully, there were no Haki users in the Royal Guard.

Otherwise, he might have actually been in trouble.

After all, he hadn't possessed this Devil Fruit power for very long.

But even so, he was already far stronger than the fruit's original owner.

"You… you're a devil…"

General Ampera gasped, clutching the saber stuck in his chest, staring at William with wide, horrified eyes.

The ground was already littered with corpses.

Not a single soldier was left standing.

How was this possible?

How?!

In just an instant, it was all over.

His entire force was slaughtered.

All he saw was William Weltz raise his hand

And suddenly, everyone was dead.

Even he, General Ampera, had been pierced through the heart without warning.

As William Weltz pulled out his blood-soaked saber, a spray of blood followed.

General Ampera collapsed to the ground, his body weak, his eyes filled with regret and disbelief.

Why… why would such a monster appear in the Goa Kingdom?!

His dream of becoming royalty was destroyed.

The fantasy of marrying the princess and sitting on the throne shattered in an instant.

Clang!

William glanced at the saber in his hand, it was now dull and chipped.

With a flick of his wrist, he tossed it to the ground.

The sound of metal hitting stone rang through the silent battlefield.

"Hey. Clean this up."

Covered in blood, William Weltz looked like a demon from hell as he shouted to the trembling neutralist and royalist soldiers.

They watched in fear as the blood-soaked figure walked slowly back toward them…

Even though Princess Sarie had already accepted this future husband, she couldn't hide her fear.

Raised as a princess, she had never seen such brutal slaughter.

This man who killed like it was nothing, was terrifying.

"Why aren't you cleaning up the rebels?!"

Her panic broke into a sharp scream as she shouted at the soldiers around her.

Startled, the neutralist and royalist soldiers immediately rushed to obey.

They scrambled to clear the rebel corpses, carefully avoiding William Weltz as if he were a demon.

No one dared get too close, afraid he might cut them down without warning.

"Lord William Weltz… your clothes… are covered in blood. Please, let's go change,"

Princess Sarie said, forcing a smile. Her voice trembled like a frightened deer.

She had only hoped that William would use his strength to stabilize the capital.

She never expected a massacre like this.

"This should be enough to put the military under control, right?"

William Weltz gave a faint smile. His heavy breathing was starting to slow.

Banishing and killing five hundred people had taken a toll on him.

But this ability was truly deadly in his hands.

He hadn't expected to rack up a five-hundred-man kill today, like Rob Lucci once did.

Now, his name might soon rival the infamy of monsters like Lucci or Judge.

"Y-Yes, definitely,"

Princess Sarie nodded quickly, like a pecking bird.

Despite her fear, she took William's blood-stained arm and led him back toward the palace to bathe and change his clothes.
