Chapter 2: The Green Phone

Pedro Henrique sat alone in his dimly lit room, the weight of the past heavy on his shoulders. In his hand was a phone unlike any other—its casing a bold green, vibrant but unnerving. He hesitated, staring at the screen that glowed with possibilities and dangers alike. A war raged within him, a battle between fear and duty.

The words of Kael echoed in his mind: "Be strong, Pedro Henrique. The legacy of our mother rests in your hands. The life of our family depends on it." Those utterances had accompanied him these last few weeks, fueling his resolve but also intensifying his doubts. What if those words, once a beacon of hope, led him down a path darker than the one he was trying to escape?

As the room grew silent, he closed his eyes, envisioning the Ghost Archipelago—an enigmatic realm filled with whispers of crime and corruption. He felt power emanating from the green phone, coaxing him to unlock its potential to enact change, to eradicate the criminal underworld that threatened to engulf everything he loved.

With a deep breath, he opened his eyes, made his decision, and reached for the green phone with trembling hands. It was time to confront the shadows that loomed over their lives.

He walked out of his room and headed toward the small study where his sister, Lúcia, was buried in her books. She was his anchor, and the thought of involving her made his heart race. Nonetheless, he needed her by his side. She looked up when he entered, her expression shifting from concentration to joy as a smile broke across her face.

"Hey, Pedro Henrique! What's up?" Her warmth filled the air, contrasting sharply with the cool, sinister energy radiating from the device in his grasp.

Pedro's heart pounded as he approached her. "I'm ready, Lúcia."

Her brow furrowed at the sight of the green phone clutched tightly in his hand. "Are you sure, brother? This… this is serious."

He could see the concern etched on her face, the flicker of fear that mirrored his own. He straightened his posture, trying to embody the strength he sought. "Yes. We need to do this. For Mom. For our family."

She studied him, searching for any sign of uncertainty. But all she found was the unwavering intensity in his eyes. "Alright," she said hesitantly, "but promise me we'll think this through."

Pedro nodded solemnly. "We will. But I need you with me."

As Lúcia reached out to touch his shoulder, a silent pact formed between them. They would tread into the unknown together, bound by family, heritage, and an urgent desire to uproot the decay that festered in their world.

In that moment, they were not just siblings facing a daunting task; they were warriors, armed with determination, ready to battle against the darkness of the Ghost Archipelago.

The clock ticked ominously in the background, marking the seconds until fate would unravel. Pedro took one last glance at the green phone, a daunting symbol of their journey ahead, before steeling himself for what lay beyond the horizon.
