Chapter 001
Before the Journey
The Thunder is loud and echoes through the mansion as a young boy about to reach his first steps towards adulthood sits next to a large size bed. The boy has fair skin, dark brown hair that matches the color of chocolate, an eyes that are a mixture of blue and gold. laying on top of the Bed is the boy's Grandfather an older man past his prime years, while the man does not show it much it is clear if you look around his eyes the man is sick.
The Old man says with a raspy voice that has a croak to it "Jome my boy I was finally able to figure out the cause of my sickness that I am inflicted by and there is a cure."
Jome says with glee "You found a cure for your sickness Grandfather then lets make it now" as Jome stands up with a high level of joy.
The Grandfather replies with his voice less raspy "Hold on my boy I can't make the cure since I ain't got the materials that I need to make it." He finish with a loud cough that draws a small amount of blood to come with it.
Jome asks with still a bit of joy in his voice "What are the things you need to make the cure grandfather, I can take a horse into the city to buy them?"
the Grandfather replies " That is the problem my boy, *coughs* you can't buy the materials that are need to to Make the cure, the materials are quickly brought by the royal family." Jome sits back down and looks on at his Grandfather with eyes that make it obvious that Jome is thinking then where did we get them.
The Grandfather says to himself "if only I figure out this sickness a few months ago I could have gotten the materials needed to make it?"
Jome says with an simplicity tone "Tell me what is needed and I will get them for you." with a soft reply his Grandfather says "what is need is organs from quite a few different monsters."
Jome thinks to himself that he has never hunted any monsters before although he has hunted wild animals, Jome reaches for a glass of water and drinks it and with a swallow of the water he says "You taught me how to use magic, you taught me to hunt, so tell me which monsters you need and what organs you need from them and I will get them for you."
The Grandfather looks at Jome with a smile and says "you are still just a boy I doubt you could hunt a single goblin by yourself as you are, but I will tell you what is needed for the cure." he lets out a small cough then says "what I need is a the blood of a Basilisk, a cyclopes eye and a mermaids heart with these I can make a cure for myself."
Jome looks at his grandfather worried because he thinks that he can't hunt those monster and ever if he did it most likely be to late for his Grandfather by the time he does. His Grandfather gives Jome a knowing look as he says " Don't worry my boy, even without the cure I can still keep myself kicking for many of years just by using magic to hold off the sickness."
Jome replies with with a nod to his Grandfathers statement then asks "Can't I still try?" Grandfathers says back to Jome with a painful laugh "Of couse you can try, but I would reckon that you should try hunting some smaller monsters first before you go for what I need."
As the thunder keeps raging on outside of the mansion a maid named Miss Biggs brings the Grandfather a potion to help with the pain he is feeling. Grandfather slowly drinks the potion after he finishes the potion he speaks to Jome "Jome if you wish to hunt those monsters you should first join the Monsters Hunters Guild in the city and gain more knowledge each of the monsters weakness and strength," he turns towards Miss Biggs "set Jome up for travel to the city of Doris."
Miss Biggs with a nod leaves the room to ready what is needed for travel to the city of Doris. The Grandfather waves for Jome to leave his room and say "Jome you need rest for in a weeks time you are to go to the City of Doris and join the Monster Hunter guild. Don't worry about leaving me I got miss Biggs and your elder brother who still needs my wisdom to take care of me. Your brother is set to inherit the the family titles, so Jome you need to make a name for yourself so lets kill two birds with one stone."
With that statement said Jome tells his Grandfather goodnight and leaves to his own room. Inside of his room Jome take a look around seeing the books he been studying and the magic equipment he has been given by his family. He sits on his bed and thinks to himself that he has to hunt an Basilisk, a Cyclopes, and a Mermaid to get the materials need for the cure his Grandfather needs. Jome lays on his bed in silence that is only broken by the sound and rain hitting the window, and the sound of thunder raging on outside, Jome eyelids slowly close themselves as time pass on and soon enough Jome is whisk asleep.
After the passage of a weeks time, Jome is standing right outside of his home he is in outdoors apparel of Brown boots, a dark tan pants, and a dark Blue skirt that is all covered by a Green Cloak. As Jome is a getting ready to leave for the city of Doris with what Miss Biggs has set for him a trip to the city on a Merchants carriage that comes and goes from the estate Jome's Grandfather gives Jome a letter of introduction for the guild and give Jome a sword that is an hand-and-a-half sword with the crest of his family on it an Dove resting on a crown.
Grandfathers says to Jome " start off small and work up to the goal" and with that He sends Jome off on the Merchants carriage. Jome is sat up on the carriage and as it starts riding away from his home waves to his grandfather and the servants goodbye.
