Jihoon's eyes fluttered open to the soft light of morning and to a familiar gaze watching over him.
A hand brushed the hair from his forehead. "Hey, Sweet."
"Hi," the omega whispered, his throat dry. "How… long have I—"
"Nearly a day," Junghoon replied, helping him sit up. He pressed a glass of water to Jihoon's lips. "Drink. You must be thirsty."
The omega drank until the cup was empty, then turned away, licking his dry lips.
The alpha wordlessly lifted a bowl of steaming broth and brought a spoonful to his lips. "Open your mouth."
Jihoon sighed and looked away. "I can feed myself." He reached for the spoon, but Junghoon pulled it back.
"Indulge me, Sweet. Let me take care of you."
Reluctantly, Jihoon parted his lips, allowing the alpha to feed him.
They continued in silence until the bowl was empty. Junghoon set it aside and gently adjusted Jihoon against the pillows.
The omega hesitated, unsure where to begin.
