It seems Ulva was planning to get them killed that very night. The same night they gained their freedom from the wicked Alpha they were mated to.
Hannah on the other hand wasn't going to stay and do nothing and watch them get killed. She forcefully took over control from Reika. She shifted to her human form and tried to shield her nudity with hands and her face as well. Although it was only the big wolf that could see her. He was quite close to her and blocked the view of the other warrior wolves.
"You face. Let me see your face." The big black wolf demanded.
Hannah immediately obeyed his demand. She slowly removed her hands from her face and looked his way. His eyes scanned her face and her whole form within seconds.
Hannah felt so much insecurity at the moment because of how ugly she knew she must look with all the scares she has on her.
'I don't think he is going to accept us. He doesn't want us.' Ulva howled in pain.
'It's not just him, nobody wants us.' Hannah said back to her in a sad tone.
"Shift back." He commanded again before turning away from her.
Hannah obeyed and immediately Ulva took over. At the same time, she felt a little hurt that he turned away from them. He couldn't even look at them for long. They really must be ugly and unwanted. Alpha Jared never misses a chance to remind her of that.
Hannah felt bad. Because if she had smooth and soft skin and also a beautiful face, their first mate might have wanted them. He would have treated them right.
She felt if she was beautiful, their current mate would have wanted them. The mate she doesn't know his name or what his human form looks like, might have accepted them. He would have nuzzled her back. But instead, he barked at Reika as if she was an abomination.
After that, the big majestic wolf turned and went back to the other wolves. They bowed to him, except for one white wolf in particular. She is obviously a female wolf. She began to strut around him and it made Hannah feel a hint of jealousy.
'Who is she and why is she acting that way towards our mate?' Ulva asked the question Hannah had no answer to. The white wolf went on to touch paws with him. He nuzzled her and what looked like a grin appeared on her face. It only pained Ulva and Hannah the most.
While all this was happening, Tala was still asleep. Her and Zoe were extremely exhausted from the stress of their journey. When the majestic looking black wolf went to the other wolves, Ulva went on to wake Tala up. She nudged on the side of her stomach until she responded to her and opened her eyes.
The majestic black wolf stood there in silence for some time. But soon, the other wolves nodded, which shows he was mind linking them. They began to walk towards Ulva and Taka, while the big black wolf didn't. He turned and glanced at Ulva one more time. He howled and sprinted to the other side of the forest and disappeared into the dark night.
"You filthy rogue. You are coming with us." The voice of the same white wolf came, barking at Ulva.
Ulva and Zoe, who was hiding beneath her, began to take small steps backwards. That did not stop the four wolves from continuing advancing towards them.
"I dare you to take another step. So that I can have a reason to end you and that tiny creature with you." The white wolf threatened, making Tala whine and hide further.
Hannah shivered from the wolf's threat. That made her comply and not take any further steps, either forward or backwards.
"Move." The same white wolf said, after they put both Ulva and Tala in the middle.
Without saying a thing, they followed them. Not knowing what would come after they followed them, or where they were taking them to.
They all walked for a long time. Tala couldn't take it anymore and Ulva had to pick her up and set her on her back for the rest of the journey. Even though she was also tired, she didn't have much choice.
As for the other four wolves, they didn't look anything close to being tired at all. They never stopped for the rigorous journey that they were on. Ulva had no choice but to keep up with them because she was in the middle. As she went on, her paws were getting weaker and they had cuts on them. In an attempt to keep up with them, she had stepped on thorns and kept howling in pain. But she was ignored by them all.
Soon, they reached a field with neatly cut grass. Ulva felt that they were getting close to wherever they were going. They began to walk through the field after a minute or two, a castle-like building started to come into view. As they kept walking, the castle-like house seemed to be getting bigger and bigger. As they were getting warmer, they saw that there were more houses. They were scattered around the castle like houses. They were, however, smaller compared to the castle-like house.
They continued walking towards the castle-like house. When they got closer, the white wolf gave a command. "Stop there!" She then turned and looked at the other three wolves. She nodded at them and she nodded back. She then turned and gave Ulva a very mean look. She then took off in a different direction, leaving them with the other three wolves.
'What do you think is going to happen to us?' Hannah asked her wolf. She was still scared for them and what would come of them in the hands of the unknown pack.
'I have no idea. I am very weak at the moment. But I will try to be alert and ready for anything that might come our way.' Ulva assured Hannah.
