"Baby, I really need you to do something that is going to help both of us and make this easy for us." Hannah said to her daughter. She was kneeling in front of her to match her height and look into her eyes as she spoke.
Zoe had her whole attention on her mother, waiting to hear what she had to ask of her.
Hannah caressed Zoe's cheek with a sad smile on her face. It is all her fault that the innocent girl was brought into the kind of life she was living. "I need you to try and shift into your wolf. Let Tala takeover." She requested.
Zoe turned to look at the direction they came from through the thick forest. She then turned to her mother. "Mommy, are we running away from these bad people?" She asked with a glimpse of hope in her eyes as she did.
Hannah knew that when the Alpha woke up from the injection she gave to him, she was as good as a dead person. Not that she was afraid to die at the moment. But her daughter was the issue. What would come of her? No one would take care of her. The worst was that the Alpha, her own father, was trying to assault her.
Hannah was not sure whether he was bluffing or if he was actually going to do it. If he wasn't bluffing and she was dead, he is going to replace her with their daughter. That was the very last thing that Hannah would let happen to Zoe.
That was when Hannah decided the best thing to do was to leave the pack. Even if that means they both will become rogue.
Ulva Healed her as she packed the little clothes they had and they rushed out of the house. She picked Zoe up and ran through the thick forest. They came out on the other end but Hannah knew they were still on the pack's territory.
They successfully avoided the patrol members and continued moving. When they got to the border, that was when Hannah dropped Lily and asked her to try and shift into her wolf.
"Yes baby. We are." Hannah answered her. She also turned to the direction of the thick forest. "We are finally running away from this bad place and bad people." She said, She then turned to Zoe and added. "I am sorry it took me a long time to finally do it."
Zoe looked at her mother. She was clearly happy that they were leaving the place she never liked. She didn't get to play with the children because they always tried to avoid her. So she learnt to play by herself and her teddy. She also noticed the same thing was happening to her mother. None of the big people play with her mother as well. The ones that spoke to her mother only ended up hurting her mother. She is happy that they are finally leaving the place.
With a smile, Zoe spoke. "We will finally have a big house, people to play with, plenty of food and a daddy, right?" She asked with lit eyes.
Hannah nodded with a forced smile. She didn't want to say anything that would kill her daughter's spirit. The girl was happy that they were finally free. At the moment, she needed her to be able to change into her wolf before they continued their journey.
Zoe handed Hannah her teddy. She then sat on the ground, with the help of her mother.
"You need to relax and focus. Let Tala take control, ok?" Hannah advised.
Zoe nodded and closed her eyes to try and focus.
Zoe began to shift. Her claws began to appear. Her canines also began to transform. Fur began to show as well. Soon, a very cute little cub with silver fur stood before Hannah. She was also a silver wolf, just like her mother. She didn't scream this time around while shifting. Because the first few times that she had shifted, she was screaming.
Hannah smiled. "Tala." She called.
Tala gradually opened her eyes. She looked down and saw her paws. "We did it!" She jumped for joy.
"Yes, you guys did a good job." Hannah said. She was relieved. She is beginning to think maybe that moment was one of the reasons Zoe was an early shifter. To make their escape much easier for them.
It was time for them to finally step out of wildwood territory. There was still one thing that was keeping her as part of the pack. It was time for her to finally end it all.
"Hannah Darkmoor, an omega of wildwood pack accepts your rejection, Alpha Jared. I chose to be a rogue and be free. So be it." Hannah stated. Immediately, she felt all ties and the connection she was feeling before broke. She let out a sigh of relief and a smile crept on her face at the moment.
"Tala, pick her teddy up." Hannah instructed and Tala did as she was told.
After that, Hannah let Ulvatake over. She walked to where Tala was and picked her up and placed her on her back. She then picked up their sack of cloth in her mouth.
'We are finally doing this.' Hannah said to Ulva.
'Yes, we are. No looking back.' Ulvaresponded with confidence.
With that, Ulvabegan to run. They were soon out of the borders and now, they headed into the forest.
They are now rogues.
Not knowing where they were heading.
Not knowing what they would meet.
Not knowing if it was going to be better than where they left.
Not knowing what the world had in store for them.
All they knew was that they had to run. Run and save their cub from the kind of life that they have endured for a long time.
They kept running without looking back or resting. They felt an energy that came with being free. It was something they haven't felt in a long time. It felt great and they felt strong.
