"You are hereby expelled from the Grand Elemental Summoner's Academy."
Jemil stood in stunned silence as the Elder Council's voice echoed across the obsidian hall. Murmurs spread like wildfire through the crowd of robed summoners-in-training around him.
He didn't speak.
Not because he didn't want to.
But because—honestly—what could he say?
"I only blew up the Eastern summoning wing once. Okay—twice. But the second time wasn't even my fault. The lava serpent sneezed!"
Too late for that now.
The ancient robed elder in the center continued, "You have failed to bond with a single elemental spirit after three years. You are a disgrace to the summoning bloodline and unfit to bear the Orb of Arcana."
Ouch.
The words hit hard. But not as hard as the snickers behind him.
"Loser."
"Spirits won't even spit on him."
"He couldn't summon a pigeon."
Jemil slowly clenched his fists.
Not angry. Just—burning.
With shame. With rage. And with something else. Something… ancient.
Outside, the cold mountain wind bit into him as he walked down the long stairs of the academy — a duffel of shredded robes, broken summoning rings, and crushed dreams slung over one shoulder.
The academy bell tolled behind him.
DONG.
You are now officially nobody.
A few hours later…
Jemil wandered the Forgotten Summoning Grounds — the place where broken summoners went to sulk, cry, or get eaten by mana wolves.
His feet carried him to an old crater, half-covered in vines and mist.
There, lying in the center of a glowing blue formation, was something… forbidden.
A sphere of swirling fire and gold.
An orb.
Not just any orb.
A God-Tier Summoning Orb.
Its core pulsed when he approached.
[WARNING]
[You are not authorized.]
[Touching this orb will break your summoner's pact permanently.]
"Well," Jemil muttered. "I don't have one, do I?"
He reached out.
The moment his fingers touched it—
A bolt of energy slammed into his chest, throwing him into the air. Symbols spiraled across the sky, runes burned through the clouds, and the earth trembled.
A screen blinked into his vision:
[God-Level Summoner System Activated.]
[Host: Jemil]
[Beast-Bonding Process Initiated…]
[WARNING: You've skipped 9 summoning tiers.]
[Chance of host death: 73%]
[Just kidding. Kind of.]
"Did the system just sass me?"
The world turned white-hot.
Then a voice — wild, furious, and feminine — ripped through the air.
"Who dares summon me with such pitiful human mana?!"
The sky exploded into flames.
Wings of fire erupted from a circle above, feathers of living magma raining down as a goddess-shaped figure descended.
She landed hard — barefoot, steam rising from her heels as her long crimson hair whirled around her like a living flame. Her armor was molten red, sculpted to perfection — barely covering what needed to be covered and deliberately showing everything else.
Her eyes locked onto Jemil.
They narrowed.
"A summoner?" she scoffed. "No. A boy."
She pointed at him.
"You have three seconds to explain why you woke me before I burn your skin off and use your bones as chopsticks."
Jemil coughed, propped himself up, and tried to play it cool.
"Hi. I'm Jemil. Rejected summoner, 18, single, don't do mornings. Accidentally bonded you while emotionally unstable. Do we… do we hug now or later?"
The woman blinked.
Once. Twice.
Then her aura flared like a volcano.
"You dare mock me? I am Flare, Queen of the Phoenix Flame! I've scorched gods and boiled oceans! I do not—"
She paused.
Sniffed the air.
Then tilted her head, eyes narrowing dangerously.
"Wait. Is that a God-Level bond I smell?"
[Confirmed: God-Level Bond Established with: Phoenix Queen, Flare.]
[Compatibility: 98.9%]
[Current Affection: 2% — Barely Tolerating Your Existence]
Suddenly, her expression twisted.
Not rage.
Panic.
"You didn't complete the ritual… You fool! My divine essence is leaking—"
BOOM.
Flames burst from her chest, shoulders, and wings. Runes danced across her body. Her molten armor flashed and—
Her top snapped in half.
Jemil's brain completely froze.
"Uhh—"
Flare looked down.
Then at him.
Then shrieked:
"I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!!!"
Fifteen minutes later…
Jemil was face-first in a smoking crater, his clothes reduced to ash.
The system chimed again.
[Flare's loyalty increased to 12%.]
[New Title unlocked: First Summon = First Near Death]
[Warning: Future wives may also try to kill you. Repeatedly.]
He groaned.
"I was expelled… now I'm bonded to a fire goddess who thinks I'm a pervert… and I still haven't eaten lunch."
In the sky above, hidden in the clouds…
A set of silver fox ears twitched.
A sultry voice whispered in the wind:
"Hmm. A summoner who stole the forbidden orb? This might be fun…"
