4Chapter 4

Exercise and fighting research combined together.

Punch, kick, punch. Aleister focused on containing his rage, focusing it, letting his fists strike faster, harder, more precise. He imagined the face of Skidmark, every ugly detail, his fists hit harder, angrier.

TEAAARRRR!

His punching bag went flying, undamaged but the hook it was on had come lose, he'd have to repair it later. Grabbing the bag he threw it onto his sofa and sat besides it, knuckles under his chin.

He let out a calm breath, his rage having faded away. He needed to stay focused, sharpen his skills, understand his enemies, and crush them so absolutely he sent a message to everyone, he was king.

He got up, and walked into his kitchen, he had things to do.

Parameters increased.

Physical - 10%

Skill increased.

- Combat 8%

Aleister focused, focusing on the various metal scraps he'd managed to gather together, a white circle of chalk drawn around them. He had yet to try anything like this, but it would hopefully help improve the process.

He placed his hand onto the circle and channeled his mana, watching as the metal scraps started melting down and merging together. Shifting, changing, and forming into a new shape. He reached forward, pulling out a metal cube, pure silver.

He began changing its shape, creating dozens of silver wires. He smirked, these would be useful later.

Spell improved!

- Transmutation (The most basic spell of Alchemy, transforming the chemical makeup and structure of things to make new things. Can now be performed in five seconds).

Aleister frowned as he dug through a pile of junk, some wires, some old long rotten food, a half broken phone he quickly shoved into his bag. His face was covered by a basic face-mask while most of his hair was covered by a black beanie hat. It was the most basic costume possible, but he didn't want people to believe he was a cape and instead simply think he was some weirdo exploring dumpsters.

He froze when he heard footsteps and quickly hid behind the dumpster, looking around he saw a stumbling man and had to suppress a wince at the smell... The smell of sex, alcohol, and weed. Aleister's eyes narrowed, a Merchant, his hand reached towards his belt where a knife was kept before stopping, no. If he killed this Merchant with a knife, the police could get involved.

No, he was skilled enough to beat a high and drunk Merchant with his hands alone, the only issue may be the gun outline in their jacket. Aleister waited for the Merchant to walk past him, and pounced.

"Wha-!?". The Merchant didn't get to finish before a fist slammed into their face, a kick to their right leg to cause them to fall down and as they fell down another punch slammed into their chest and sent them into the alleyway wall. Aleister punched again and again, uncaring as his fists were stained with blood, but eventually he stopped.

Glaring down at the beaten Merchant, he opened their jacket and grabbed the gun in their, checking for anything else of use there was a couple 20's, some drugs he tossed into the dumpster, and a knife he left behind (He was glad he was wearing gloves, that should deal with anyone who actually investigated the beating of a Merchant).

Aleister walked out of the alleyway after shoving the mask, beanie and gloves into a pocket of his jacket to hide the shape of his newly acquired gun.

Item acquired!

- Glock. A basic glock, it only has eighteen bullets left.

Owch, Encountered some random Merchant huh? Just be thankful it wasn't Skidmark or Squealer.

Aleister carefully placed the wire, and then used some Alchemy to merge it into the leather glove. He grabbed a tiny thin circle he'd created and attached it to the glove, causing a soft glow to occur from the circle and travel down the wires.

He used a pair of leather covered tweezers to attach some thin silver plates onto each finger of the glove, electricity sparking around them. He twisted the circle on the glove, causing the glow to fade away along with the electricity.

"Test one, beginning". He nervously put the glove on, if this went wrong he'd need to visit the hospital and hope Panacea was doing one of her visit. He wasn't sure how he'd explain the electricity damaged ether.

He aimed the glove at an apple on a leather mat, and twisted the circle-

ZAP!

Electricity burst from his hand, firing towards the apple and frying it in a blast of light. Aleister grinned as he deactivated the glove, and after removing the fried apple, replaced it with a fresh one. He aimed his glove again, and instead of twisting the circle, sent a surge of mana into it.

ZAP!

"Test One... Success". Aleister looked at his new electro-glove with glee, his first creation.

Item gained.

- Electro-Glove. It resembles an ordinary black leather glove, but has a silver circle on its back that can be spun around.

By spinning the circle around or using a surge of mana, the glove can produce electricity. Can both fire weak blasts of electricity and work as a taser fist.

Bit of a short chapter, but I couldn't think of any ways to make it longer without adding unnecessary details.

Destroy the Merchants (Rare).

- Defeat the Merchants within a Week (Ultra) Six days left.
