Dominic was riding on his horse when he saw a group of orcs fighting a group of human carriages. The carriages were made using the ironwood which only people who could control energy could make. Only nobles would use such carriages as the mages preferred magical items as means of travel.
He looked at the flag and remembered that the flag was from the family of Richardson family. They were indeed a strong family as their lineage had the most powerful power of attribute named severing. They married within the family as their family had more than a 10,000 members and the head of the family had the title of king of knights under Emperor Nicholas Stanley of the Roman empire. They were one of the few empires which still cared more about military merit than bloodline and any family being able to keep the title as hereditary were strong enough to make enough merits.
His horse moved straight towards them. They were on the path towards the Greek empire near the elvish empire. He was not someone who would give his pride and move on another path if the path was blocked. So when the orcs saw someone new coming and moved to one side to regroup as they were not sure which side he was on, as many dark mages supported barbaric races as they were easier to control while the knights moved back protecting the main carriage.
They all knew that anyone moving alone on the forest path was either someone strong or was someone foolish who would soon be dead. He looked straight at the tricorns. He had heard of tales of tricorns under the control of the Roman empire. They were the most bloodthirsty mounts as they would bite the throat of the mounts of their enemies, killing them. They had three attributes on their body on their horns, namely blood, curse and death. There was a reason why the warlike Romans kept them.
He smiled. He observed them while moving in front of them. They dared not attack him as they did not want a new enemy. He observed the tricorns who showed killing intent towards him. He smiled at them. They were far better than the unicorns he had seen with the attribute of sacredness, light and purity in their bloodline. He hated them as they had no use to humans being alive. At least, horses could be used as the mounts.
The tricorn neighed at him with dark mana pressuring him. His horse that had excess killing intent woven into its bloodline as it was fed with a lot of aura every moment till now, strengthening its body. It had not killed till now. So when someone dared to pressurize its master using temperament, when someone dared to show its fangs towards it, when it knew that it was far stronger than the dragon in terms of quality of mysticism, the strongest bloodline among all beasts, when it had kept its killing intent hidden and it finally found a real reason to attack, it neighed using purest killing intent with excess aura above all. The energy and intent let all kneel down. The tricorns knelt with fear as they felt someone stronger.
But it was different for the humans as they had more intelligence and they had to doubt if they were dreaming. The knights were all 2 star knights and the lord inside was a 5 star knight. Only someone with 7 star energy (7 aura ring) could make them bow down. Such people with more than 6 star energy (6 aura ring) was named the arch-lord and the ones with 9 star energy (9 aura ring) was named the king level powerhouse. Humans had no king level strong and elves had only one king level strong. The dragons had many. The last king level strongman in humanity was named Archimedes who had lived 4000 years ago.
But every Arch-lord was someone who could destroy cities easily and these were the cities that were made using magic.
So when Dominic walked outside without looking at them as he was going to go to the Greek empire who was the enemy of the Roman empire as both empires were nearby and the founder of the Roman empire were the lords exiled by the Greek empire in the past.
The lord inside walked outside as he knew that someone who could make him feel despair just by using aura should have 2 star energy above him. He was 5 star magician and the horse should be 7 star beast. Then the owner should at least be 7 star strong. The lord smiled as he knew that the attribute used was not something related to light, life or purity. It was something related to darkness. It was surely not an elf, and hence he was sure it was a human as if otherwise, he would have to doubt if it was an elf similar to human. No other race had similar shape to human.
So he shouted, "Dear sir, would you like to join us on the journey."
Dominic thought and the horse stopped and turned letting Dominic face the person. All the orcs were 3 star in strength but humans were strong enough to kill such orcs even when they were 2 star in strength due to their techniques and weapons. He saw through the strength of the mage. No wonder they were not scared as one in two knights would die when fighting orcs of strength one level higher than them. He asked, "Why?'
The lord smiled and said, "We have blood gem of a demon lord." he knew that any arch-lord needed some kind of special items to be given to them before they befriend noble families like them.
Dominic understood it but essence "I have essence energy items and was planning to sell it. Ten litre of essence water with 6 star energy per litre. Such items are useless for me."
The lord thought in a fast manner. He had stood up straight subconsciously, maintaining his noble demeanour. He said, "We have the special gem of severance made every hundred years which can grant you the attribute of severance. We also have the attribute gems of blood, lightning, observation, shooting and many other attributes. We have library with thousands of books in our library with all kinds of spell woven into it. We have a 5 star blacksmith who had made a 3 star artifact."
Dominic thought. He only had the attributes of light, lock, air, water and death. Any new attribute would allow him to raise it to the highest possible level of o.17 as per his intent level. Even the attributes which was considered weak could be strong enough as long as the level of mystery was elevated or one had enough energy and knew how to use that attribute. He could even think of thousands of methods to use the attribute of talisman to combine it with other attributes to make many kinds of attributes. After all, he had higher level intent and he could control all attributes with just a thought due to higher level of intent and will. So he would not need any books related to concepts and how to use the attributes as spells. Spells was nothing more than a group of intent using attributes to do something. Fire attribute could be used and controlled to make fire to attack others, fire to heat steel and mold it into shape, even forcibly apply mysticism over fire to use spells as fire healing.
So no spell was needed for him as knowledge would only reduce the energy needed to do something using an attribute. But some new attribute gems would be good for him. So he nodded and said, "I shall come alongside you."
He then looked at the 20 orcs fighting against the 30 knights and said, "Are you training your knights. You could kill them easily."
The lord sighed and said, "I lost my attributes on a hunt with demons in the abyss. I wanted the heart gem of the demons. I am now a mage without any attributes. I only have 5 star energy and do not know the method of knights to strengthen the body or fight using the weapons."
Dominic nodded, "Oh!" Not everyone was like him, knowing both magic and martial arts. He nodded to the lord and looked at the orcs. He thought how to kill them. He now had 8 aura rings as he had travelled slowly over time. He raised his hands and looked at them and created a huge number of swords of light and let it hit them all on their bodies. The orcs screamed as their possibility of dying had let them overcome their fear of his killing intent. He used water magic to let them explode by controlling their blood. Although blood attribute was better in controlling blood, water attribute could still control the blood.
He then turned to the knights and used light rays and used healing on all the knights and the mages. His high energy and his high intent and higher level attribute had worked such that the healing had healed all the body and strengthened their body slightly, not due to his lack of power but he had just intented to strengthen it.
The lord smiled and said, "I am Evan Richardson, the court mage of rank IV, grandson of king Richardson Austin the Bold. I formerly invite you to the Richardson clan."
Dominic nodded and said, "I am Dominic Slayer White, formerly known as Dominic West Lawrence, General of Western front of Lunabria, once General of United front of Southern Nations against orc empire, once General of Sixth and Seventh United front of Southern Nations against mutated monsters, slayer of demons, king-slayer and an archmage and arch-knight. I am commonly known among all races as Dominic the slayer and Dominic the White."
He had given up his former name and since he was sure that his strengthened attribute at level 0.17 will be passed on for generations without degrading. He had used the two names that was how he was known to coin the new name. He could not name himself Dominic the killer or Dominic killer, right?
The lord nodded with fear. The fear was not due to the strength of the person in front of him. Dominic had another name among all the nobles which they did not dare speak among the commoners as they would not want him to hear it. They called him Dominic the madman, not due to his strength as he just had 3 star strength then. They feared his way of fighting. They feared his intelligence. They feared his ruthlessness against the ones he loved and how he did not stay away from love. They feared how he was really talented enough to manage the whole dukedom and had sidelines the current duke by letting the duke feel shame in his lack of talent and holding the dukedom back.
Evan was shaking in fear. He knew that this man had killed the orc king who was two ranks higher than him all alone. He was the one who had trailed the goblins by a thousand miles using army before eradicating the lineage of red goblins. He was the one who fought against the fourth rank phoenix, killed it when it was clearly willing to sign a contract with him. Any phoenix will grow up to become 7 star strong. But this man had killed it and ate it in front of all. He was one of the few who believed in human supremacy. He had killed the bishop of the church of moon when he stepped into to stop him from killing the elves who had surrendered when they had lost. He slaughtered all of them.
This man started the culture of eating orc meat that was prohibited long ago and it spread to other nations. This man had killed the unicorn who asked him to scrub it daily, feed it food personally and show respect before ti was willing to follow him in war without a second thought. He was scared further when he saw the killing intent on the horse with 7 star mana as even the strongest horse known to mankind only had had 2 star strength then. He surely kept his pride while maintaining his dignity.
If this man had become an arch lord then that only meant one thing, many were going to die, this man was the first in history to combine two paths of strength and make it stronger. He had heard of him leaving the dukedom and his family behind as he had reached too high in terms of philosophy, psychology, reasoning and management needed by management type nobles such that all appeared idiots for him. This man was moving towards the Roman empire.
No. He was not someone who would bow to someone especially now he had the strength. He knew that this man should find a small nation and overthrow it to become the king as per his actions til now. Was he going towards the elves? Is the elf queen finally going to be killed.
But that did not matter to him as he had to befriend this man for now. Roman empire believed in human supremacy and now favoured the church of light that favoured human supremacy as the core concept while Greek favoured multiple ethnicity while maintaining allowing the worship of multiple gods.
So he asked, "Please follow us lord Dominic. I will ensure to give you the utmost respect possible."
Dominic nodded and said, "I will be riding this horse. You can be in your carriage."
The lord nodded. They moved towards the Roman empire.
