Rooftop party. Mood lighting. Music turned low.
Some genius suggested Truth or Dare to "spice things up."
It started light—"Who was your first kiss?" "I dare you to chug this." Stupid stuff. But then someone dared Jasmine to sit on my lap for five minutes.
The room went still.
She raised a brow, cool as ice. "That's it? Weak dare."
She walked over and sat—confident, dangerous. My hands instinctively went to her waist. Everyone watched, whispering, but for those five minutes, it felt like we were in our own bubble.
Then she whispered in my ear: "Truth or dare?"
"Truth," I said, heart racing.
She leaned in, lips brushing my jaw. "Why do you always stare at me like I'm a secret you want to unlock?"
I swallowed hard. "Because you are."
[JASMINE – POV]
He said it like it hurt.
"Because you are."
I didn't expect that. I was trying to tease him, throw him off. Instead, I saw something real in his eyes—something unguarded.
But real is dangerous. Real gets people hurt.
So I stood up, heart thumping. "Your turn," I said. "Truth or dare?"
He smirked. "Dare."
I hesitated… then smiled.
"I dare you to kiss me."
The room went wild.
He didn't wait. He stood up, cupped my face, and kissed me like we'd been waiting our whole lives for it.
And I kissed him back.
