Kaya was overwhelmed with embarrassment. She covered her mouth with both hands, terrified that Jin might suddenly kiss her.
Her flustered, sugary voice sounded like she had just swallowed ten thousand Choppers.
She was totally confused.
This man—her savior—was now trying to flirt with her out of nowhere?
He said he wanted to kiss her to death… just how hard would that have to be?
"Ahem~ Sorry, I lost control for a second." Jin cleared his throat with no shame at all. "Where's that fruit now?"
Kaya still felt a little uncomfortable from the sudden topic shift.
He flirts with me and then changes the subject like nothing happened?
Seriously, how rude!
"I put it in the safe downstairs," she said while sipping her soup. "I'll go get it after we finish eating."
"No!"
Jin stood up immediately and grabbed Kaya by the arm. "Forget eating. We're going now."
"Eh? But I still need to take my medicine."
"Oi oi oi, don't take Kuro's medicine! You've got me now—what medicine could you possibly need?"
Jin pulled her to her feet, glanced over her slender figure, and gave a bright smile.
"Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you something."
"Actually… I happen to know a little something about full-body wellness."
A few minutes later—
Jin led Kaya into the basement. Dim lights flickered on along the narrow corridor, casting shadows across the worn and stained walls.
It was only a single level deep. The air was damp and carried a rotting stench.
"Sorry, Jin-nii… I rarely come down here, so I never had anyone clean it."
Kaya apologized shyly, afraid he'd think she was the type of girl who didn't take care of her home.
Jin didn't reply. His full attention was locked on the end of the passage.
Inside, he was buzzing with excitement.
After all those years of scraping by in the mountains, he had grown up dirt poor.
Aside from the [Magic Beast · Blue] tag, every other strength he had was earned through grueling effort.
Mid-level Navy Six Powers, master-tier barefoot medicine… he had never known the joy of unearned fortune.
That's why stealing Luffy's tags felt so damn good.
And now, it seemed another miracle had landed in his lap!
At the end of the tunnel stood a rusted iron door. Jin opened it, scanned the room, and finally spotted an unassuming little safe.
Kaya moved it over, saying the fruit should be inside—but she'd forgotten the key was still with Merry.
"Should I go get Mr. Merry?" she asked.
"No need. Give it to me."
Jin took the safe in both hands. His fingertips darkened… and then—stab!—punched a hole straight through the top.

His fingers danced like needles, rapidly carving holes through the box. A strange aroma began to leak out.
"Sugoi~!"
Kaya was stunned by Jin's flashy antics, but after smelling the scent, she hesitated.
"It's kinda weird, Jin-nii. Please check it carefully."
Jin didn't reply. Once half the box was shredded, he tore through the reinforced steel plate and looked inside.
There it was—a silver-gold fruit with swirling spiral patterns. Its sides even had bird-like wings folded against it.
Its bizarre appearance practically screamed its abnormality.
The moment he saw it, Jin's breathing quickened. His pupils reddened, and veins started surfacing in the whites of his eyes.
'Read Tag!'
Jin activated his system again—this time for a test he'd never dared to try before.
The next moment, the fruit in his hand became semi-transparent. A golden interface appeared in midair!

Jin could barely contain his excitement. It took him a long while to settle down and focus on the description again.

Jin's eyes sparkled as he stared at the tag. This wasn't just a Mythical Zoan—it was the ancestral Kirin-level beast!
And most importantly—
His test was a success.
He could now convert fruit abilities into tags… and plunder them!
That meant—he could eventually collect unlimited Devil Fruit powers!

Suddenly remembering that he still had Luffy's straw hat, Jin ran a scan on it too.

Kaya's eyes rolled back in her head, and she collapsed straight backward.
The aura was still immature—but unmistakably, this was the privilege of a king.
Jin caught her around the waist and smirked, his calm expression tinged with pride.
"No wonder I couldn't steal Conqueror's Haki… turns out I already had it."
"I knew it—3D beats 2D any day."
