SMASH!
A single punch destroyed the age-old doors of the Hokage office, ones which didn't need replacing ever since Tsunade left the village.
So, it was only fitting that it be her who broke them once she was back, wasn't it. Well, that happened.
A permanent scowl was present on Tsunade's face nowadays. She never should have agreed to her old teacher's proposal. Never.
The old goat tricked her. And now she was trapped. The offer was to look after one troublesome patient and figure out whether she was really the person she claimed to be or not.
"Old man, I'm done with this babysitting job. I ran all the tests and there is nothing to test anymore. She is undoubtedly Izumi Uchiha, she absolutely couldn't be anyone else." She slammed the test papers in her hand onto the desk in front of Hiruzen like they were her bailing papers. With them out of the way, she could be free.
Sigh… Hiruzen Sarutobi just sighed, a two-second mourn for his trusty office gate which helped him hide his rather questionable use of surveilling the women bath houses from the world.
He quickly went through the report with practiced ease before looking back at Tsunade, who was ready to bolt out of his office and possibly the entire village as soon as possible.
"Are you certain…"
"Didn't you hear a thing I just said. She is the girl. Case closed, I'm going." Tsunade roared again.
"Now now… don't go riling up like that, Lady Tsunade, you might burst a vein or something." Came a snickering remark from outside the broken door, the source of her current anger and irritation standing there.
Izumi smiled like an orange cat ready to mess everything up.
"Wha… the… I told you to stay at the hospital." Tsunade gritted her teeth. For two months, for two months she had to look after this girl who had completely irritated her.
Unlike most, Izumi Uchiha turned out to be a harder patient to handle. For once, Tsunade wasn't the only one throwing punches, and Izumi's punches hurt just as much.
Though it wasn't the property loss which actually stopped both most of the time. With the Raikage going back on his promised payment to heal his subordinates and running away, Tsunade didn't earn anything, meaning she was still broke.
No money to gamble. If she wasn't getting paid well for this babysitting, she might have lost it by now. She didn't wish to add to her debt before she got the money in her hand.
Though, as much as Tsunade was concerned, someone like Ibiki or Anko should have taken this case over from her. However, the girl was a tough one. She withstood all the interrogation like it was nothing. They couldn't use torture on her since there was no proof that she was indeed a spy.
So, in this case, only Tsunade's medical knowledge could figure out the truth. As for why not just cut her up and bury her six feet under or simply let her rot behind bars in Konoha prison?
Well, Hiruzen could do that, but then they would lose the only lead they had on who could have taken the Mangekyo Sharingan.
Tsunade had to do thorough testing, confirming on Hiruzen's repeated urging that Izumi no longer possessed the Mangekyo Sharingan. That one point alone drove her mad.
"I was in that room for two months… you still expect me to rot there." She glared like she wasn't having any discussion on this matter anymore, even when the Hokage was standing there.
Hiruzen chose to ignore that little rebellious outburst. Right now wasn't the time to fall out with the Uchiha clan, especially an Uchiha who once had Mangekyo.
"I guess you're right… I must apologize for all you have been through, Izumi. However, you must understand this was for the village's safety. We couldn't just let you walk openly unless we knew you weren't a spy…" Hiruzen said, though he didn't sound sorry.
"It's fine… it's fine, god knows I'm at this point too used to this. So, I'm free to go home, correct?" She asked with a nonchalant attitude, her hands behind her back, completely casual.
And that was the issue. Her attitude change was the biggest proof that she wasn't quite the Izumi Uchiha most remembered. Upon asking why her attitude changed like that, her only answer was it was the use of Mangekyo. No further explanation.
If it was entirely on Hiruzen, he couldn't let her go back. However, for the first time becoming the Hokage again… he felt like his hands were tight on the matter. There were already talks in the village about a new Hokage, which seemed to have increased further by Tsunade's return.
The Uchiha blunder and Danzo's death had left a powerful vacuum on his reign. On the surface, it seemed that everything was stable in Konoha. However, the clans were growing in power in the last five years.
Likely, many understood that the Uchiha massacre was an inside job. He didn't have much longer to be Hokage anymore.
"It's good you're here. I was about to call you here anyway…"
"Toru."
"Yes, Hokage-sama." An Anbu immediately appeared on his knees in front of him, ready to carry out any order.
"Call Sukuna Haruno, Kiyomi Uchiha, and Karin Uzumaki to my office."
"Hai…"
Just as quickly as he appeared, he was gone as well.
"That kid again." Tsunade grumbled. Another person she didn't wish to interact with.

By the time Sukuna arrived at the Hokage office with both Kiyomi and Karin, it felt like a big accomplishment that an argument didn't break out between the girls.
Especially when Karin was occasionally taking a bite from Sukuna's ice cream, and while doing so, her eyes lingered on Kiyomi with the kind of smirk expression which only women could pull off.
It grounded on Kiyomi's nerves, wishing to ask her, 'just stop that, why the fuck are you looking at me.' But the brunette held her calm.
Unlike most in their daily training group, the two of Kiyomi and Sakura never got along together. Perhaps it was because Sakura's personality was too strong to stay with another strong head like Kiyomi or something, but they were like two shores of a river.
And it made sense if it was Sakura who quarreled most with her, but why Karin?
Sighing, already tuning out the sneaky cold remarks usually only girls would find offensive in their sweet tone out of his ears, he fully focused on moving towards the Hokage office.
As soon as he was outside of the door though, both he and Kiyomi froze.
"Huh… what happened?" Karin, still sticking to Sukuna's muscular arm, jolted back when he stopped.
"Is that…" Sukuna muttered to himself.
"Huh hmm." Kiyomi just grunted, eyes narrowing.
They sensed curse energy behind that door. Something which should be impossible since both were there.
As soon as the gate opened… they heard shouting. Tsunade Senju seemed to be making havoc, shouting something about not being willing to take the mantle and yelling like, "You keep your damn chair yourself, old man. I'll have nothing regarding this."
Sarutobi Hiruzen just sighed.
Though neither were too interested in that nonsense, their eyes were fixed on the woman sitting on the side of the office. And as soon as they entered, the woman's eyes also seemed to be fixed on them like she saw a ghost.
All earlier nonchalance and casualness gone.
"Izumi..!" Kiyomi said, which sounded nothing more than a whisper to Sukuna. Her emotions were taken the moment her eyes fell on her mentor, sitting there alive.
A silence fell in the office upon the quarrelling pair of old teacher and student noticing them.
Kiyomi was left there frozen, eyes and body unmoving like someone froze her in time.
And then she noticed.
It was the curse energy they sensed from outside. It was coming from the woman in front of her.
"No… No, you're not her." Her own curse energy flared up in intensity. Eyes already transformed into Sharingan.
Anger filled her mind when she realized that someone was posing as Izumi, or even worse, using her dead body this way. The anger felt so burning that her pupil power started to leak out, filling the room with negative aura which everyone noticed.
Just when Kiyomi was about to lose it completely and snap open her Mangekyo, revealing it to everyone and doing something even more stupid like attacking the woman, a strong hand fell onto her shoulder.
It was Sukuna, who flared a bit of his own curse energy to snap Kiyomi out of the bloodlusted state.
"Calm down… I'm sure there would be a proper reason behind what we are seeing here." He said, voice still calm, but his eyes had lost his earlier casual look.
He too was serious, since this wasn't just any imposter, but an imposter with curse energy.
Izumi was also quite the same. When Kiyomi walked up, she was surprised sensing someone else with curse energy. However, when Sukuna walked in behind Kiyomi, all her hair stood on end, her shoulders tensed up.
From further away, his dangerous curse energy wasn't noticeable. However, from up close, she felt the pressure looming over him.
She, in fact, completely ignored Kiyomi who was glaring at her, focusing only on Sukuna.
"ITADORI…"
