It was over... everything had ended... and there was nothing he could do about it...
How foolish of him to trust someone who had already betrayed him once. He thought that nothing would go wrong this time—and if something did, he was sure he could handle it. But it wasn't so. He'd been far too confident.
Vilgax had activated a Chronosapien bomb that would destroy every Ben from other dimensions, wiping out everything not native to the timeline of the Ben without the watch—naturally, including him. Even in his Vaxasaurian form, he watched helplessly as the red wave of energy erased, one by one, every being not belonging to that dimension.
"I was so naive!... If only I could reach my stabilizer!" thought the Vaxasaurian as he ran. He wanted to change into another species to survive, but it was already too late. The wave caught up to him—and erased him from existence...
At least, that's what was supposed to happen.
But after the blinding light from the bomb faded... he found himself in free fall. He may have looked like an 11-year-old boy, but inside, he was a Galvan with hundreds of years of experience. So without a trace of fear or hesitation, Albedo reached for his DNA stabilizer—now also functioning as an Ultimatrix—and quickly transformed into an Aerophibian (Jetray).
Spreading his wings, he stopped his fall and gently landed on the forest floor. Judging by the lush vegetation around him, it wasn't hard to tell he'd ended up in a massive forest. He turned his head, scanning the area for any signs of Vilgax or the other Bens he had been fighting. If he had survived, maybe they had too.
After wandering the forest for a while, he realized the area was quite isolated. That came as a relief—there were no signs of Vilgax or any other Bens. Letting out a long sigh, his body emitted a bright red light as he reverted to his "human" form.
"Now... where the hell on this damned planet am I?" Albedo muttered, looking around in confusion. If his memory served him right—which, given his Galvan mind, was almost always the case—this wasn't the battlefield where he had last fought Vilgax. There was another problem: how was he even still alive? There was no way he could've survived that bomb.
He brought a hand to his chin, deep in thought, trying to piece together how this could have happened.
Minutes later…
"Ughhh!!" Albedo groaned, messing up his hair. "Thinking about this is pointless right now! First, I need to find that damn Vilgax and settle the score with him!" he shouted, slamming his fist into his palm.
Without wasting a second, Albedo activated his Ultimatrix and transformed into a Necrofriggian (his ice/cold form). In this new shape, he extended his dull blue wings and released a chilling breath—just a small exhale was enough to freeze the grass beneath him.
"Jagggh… I must… get... out… of here… I don't want… to stay… in this forest…" the Necrofriggian growled in his haunting voice before launching himself skyward, flying at high speed. All that remained in his wake was a whirlwind of swirling leaves.
City of Kuoh…
At first glance, Kuoh looked like any ordinary human city. People rushing to work, students laughing on their way to school, boys getting rejected by the girls they liked… Everyone lived peaceful, normal lives.
But none of them would act that way if they knew the truth hidden in plain sight: strange robed figures appearing out of nowhere, sightings of black-winged humanoid beings flying over the city at night, people disappearing without a trace—so thoroughly gone that even their families forget them.
The people of Kuoh had no idea that their city was a beacon for the supernatural and the occult. Demons, angels, fallen angels, and even holy leaders all gathered in this place—held together only by a fragile truce among the races. But that truce didn't stop some of them from playing with human lives as they pleased…
Inside Kuoh Academy, specifically in the Student Council office, sat two nobles from the four Great Demon clans: Rias Gremory and Souna Shitori, playing a game of chess. The elegant black-haired demon was dominating the voluptuous crimson-haired demon across the board.
"So? Have you decided what you'll do about Issei?" Souna asked as she moved one of her pieces. The redhead, eyes calm and focused on the board, glanced up.
"Of course. I'll let that fallen angel kill him," she replied coldly, without a trace of guilt. Souna adjusted her glasses, staring at her opponent.
"Seems like you'll do anything to escape that arranged marriage. But remember, the girl who checks her pot too often is the last to finish cooking."
"What do you mean by that?" asked Rias, frowning slightly.
"I mean… take your time with your decisions, so you can choose the best path," Souna said calmly—before delivering a flawless check to the king.
Night…
A massive thunderstorm, the likes of which Kuoh had never seen before, raged across the city. Lightning and thunder lit up the skies in a dazzling display—but if one looked closely, they could spot a strange figure flying through the storm.
It was none other than Albedo, in his Necrofriggian form.
He soared through the lightning-filled skies, confusion swirling in his mind as he scanned his surroundings.
"So… this confirms my suspicion," he thought as he landed on a rooftop for a better view. "This isn't Bellwood… I've ended up in some other part of this wretched planet! But the question is—where?"
As he looked toward some food stalls and shops, he noticed the signs and finally got a clue.
"So… I'm in Asia. Specifically, that country they call Japan," the Necrofriggian thought, still unsure how he'd ended up so far from where the battle took place.
"This… is so frustrating!" he yelled in rage. He needed to return to Bellwood and destroy Vilgax. After all, in this dimension, there was no annoying Ben Tennyson with an Omnitrix to get in his way. In fact—maybe he could steal this dimension's Omnitrix and finally return to his Galvan form!
Fueled by that thought, he prepared to fly toward Bellwood at top speed. But before he could even leave the rooftop, the stabilizer at the center of his chest flickered with a red light—followed by a shower of red sparks.
"No! That damned Azmuth! After what he did to my stabilizer, I haven't had time to fix it—this can't happen now!" Albedo thought, panic rising. As if his fears had triggered the event, his Necrofriggian form became unstable—until with a flash of crimson light, he reverted back into the body of an 11-year-old human boy, crashing hard onto the roof below.
"Ouch!" he winced, rubbing his head. "Damn it! What's wrong with this stabilizer?" he growled, fiddling with the device—only to be shocked by a burst of red energy that jolted his hand.
"No—no, you can't leave me here! Damn you, Azmuth! You'll pay for ruining my stabilizer!!" he shouted furiously, clenching his tiny fist.
"Guess I'll have to spend the night here…" he muttered, trying to open the rooftop door—but his human form was too weak.
With an annoyed sigh, he gave up and curled up against a wall, hugging his knees. He thought about how it had come to this—how he had gone from being a proud Galvan… to a pathetic human child who couldn't even open a door.
"All I ever wanted… was to become a Galvan again… but one by one, they all got in my way until I ended up trapped in this repulsive form…" His red eyes narrowed and burned with hatred. "I'll make every last one of them pay…" he declared aloud.
But as if the universe were mocking him, it began to rain—hard. With the door locked, Albedo had no choice but to sit there, soaked by the storm.
"Vengeance?" he muttered sarcastically. "Don't make me laugh… I'm just a joke. Azmuth, Tennyson, even Vilgax—none of them take me seriously." The boy shivered, rubbing his hands together to keep warm. "What could possibly be worse than this…?" he asked himself.
And right on cue, his stomach growled.
…The rain kept pouring.
If anyone had witnessed the scene, their heart would likely have clenched at the sight of a child slumped against a wall, shivering from the cold, the rain washing away his tears.
"Damn it, I hate this! And this damn sentimental child body!" the Galvan cursed, even though deep down he knew it wasn't truly the body's fault. But saying that helped soothe him—made him believe it wasn't him crying, but rather the 11-year-old Tennyson body he was stuck in.
One week later...
"What the hell is going on with this place?! I've caused trouble using the forms of various aliens to draw the attention of the Plumbers and get the tech I need to fix my stabilizer, but none of them have tracked me down yet! And on top of that, the quantum communicator I built hasn't picked up a single transmission from alien activity in this area. That's... strange," Albedo thought, white-haired and frowning while tinkering with a makeshift machine built from recently stolen human technology.
Albedo would've remained lost in thought if not for the sudden sound of laughter behind him—followed by heavy footsteps, as if from a massive creature.
"Ke ke ke! See, girls? I told you there was a human kid here to play with! Ke ke ke," cackled a stray demon, followed closely by two others.
Unlike normal demons, stray demons were those who had disobeyed their masters. As punishment, they were left with twisted forms that no longer resembled anything remotely human. Calling them monsters was far more appropriate—beings that thrived on the suffering of others, especially humans.
Turning around, Albedo beheld what appeared to be mutants—faces vaguely human, but bodies with grotesque animal-like features, making for a repulsive sight. The fact that they were nude, their disgusting bodies and breasts fully exposed, only added to the Galvan's disgust.
"Hey, little boy~ why don't you come over here and let onee-san show you something reeeally nice~" cooed one of the demons. Her lower half resembled that of a horse, while her upper half was disturbingly humanoid. The most grotesque feature was a vertical mouth, filled with jagged teeth, running from her sternum down to her waist. Her face was smeared with red paint, and she licked her lips constantly, swaying her repulsive chest.
"How revolting," Albedo spat, the sheer disgust evident on his face. Without hesitation, he placed his hands on his stabilizer, transforming into a Vaxasaurian.
The demons widened their eyes in shock.
"What?! What kind of human is this?" shouted the demon in the back."Is that a Sacred Gear? Have you ever heard of a Sacred Gear that lets you change form?!" asked the one nearest to the horse demon."That doesn't matter! It's one of him and three of us! We can—"
The demon was abruptly silenced by a devastating blow from the Vaxasaurian—or so Albedo thought—until the female demon's nails turned into razor-sharp metallic claws and slashed across his chest.
Albedo stared in disbelief as blood from the Vaxasaurian dripped to the floor.
"What the hell?! A mere mutant shouldn't even be able to scratch a Vaxasaurian! And the way they keep calling me 'human'... Mutants usually still consider themselves human. That must mean... they don't. But then again, there's no alien species with those appearances. So... what are they? Not humans? Not mutants?" he wondered. The shock was enough to make him lower his guard.
The demons interpreted this as fear.
"Why are you just standing there?! You scared?!" one of them shouted, raising a hand that conjured a red magic circle. Albedo eyed it with curiosity—it reminded him of Wendolyn's attacks or, more precisely, the powers of the Anodites.
The demon spoke words Albedo couldn't make out, and beneath the Vaxasaurian, a larger matching magic circle appeared on the floor. Though he didn't understand magic, his instincts screamed at him to move. He leapt, but it was already too late.
The circle exploded in flames.
As the fire faded, the heavy Vaxasaurian fell to one knee, smoke rising from his scorched body.
"Damn it... that hurts! What the hell was that?! Even a Pyronite can't create fire at that distance... I got too cocky," Albedo thought, forcing himself to stand.
"Hahahahaha! See? You were too worried. He's just a weakling! He couldn't even handle a basic fire spe—"
The demon was cut off by Albedo's voice.
"I see... a simple Vaxasaurian won't do."
The demons watched as the dinosaur form pressed a claw to its chest. A red light spread over its body. When it faded, the form had changed: now metal protruded from his body, his tail was lined with spikes, and armor covered most of his frame. His new shape was more aggressive, more dangerous.
"Ha! So you just changed your look! What are you gonna do with that?" the nearest demon sneered.
"What am I going to do?" – the deep voice of the Vaxasaurian replied."How about this?" – Albedo said calmly, extending both arms, which transformed into cannons. Without saying another word, Albedo opened fire on the group of demons. The attack landed squarely on the unsuspecting targets, throwing the warehouse into a cloud of dust and chaos. Unlike Ben Tennyson, Albedo held nothing back for fear of harming his opponents—instead, he fully unleashed the power of each species. He also didn't care about the surroundings, firing at point-blank range.
"W-What the hell was that?!" the horse-shaped demon exclaimed, glancing at his comrade who had been closest to Albedo. His body bore burn marks, and he was missing an arm and a leg. Turning his head, he looked at his other companion, who was in better shape."Melody! Use your strongest fire magic! We're going to destroy that basta—"Before he could finish, the Vaxasaurian's massive hand grabbed his head and slammed it into the floor with all its strength. The ground shook and shattered into thousands of pieces from the impact, but the Supreme Vaxasaurian didn't stop there.
He raised both arms, interlocked his fingers, and brought his fists crashing down on the demon's head. The demon heard a crack as her skull gave under the pressure. Still unsatisfied, Albedo raised his right arm and landed another blow, then the left. He repeated this until his fists were drenched in blood and her face was no longer recognizable. If it weren't for the demons' heightened durability and mildly enhanced regeneration, she would've died from the first hit.
The Vaxasaurian looked down at the mutant on the floor, amazed that she was still alive."Unbelievable. Even after all that, she's still conscious." Albedo thought."Well, if that's the case, let's see how much she can take." A cruel smile formed on his dinosaur face, sending chills down the demoness's spine. The Vaxasaurian's massive hand grabbed her by the neck and effortlessly lifted her up, placing his free hand against her stomach before unleashing a merciless barrage of blasts. For a moment, the only sounds were the shots and the demon's screams.
"Aghhhghhh! Stop! Stop!!! Please! I beg you!" The cries reached Albedo's ears, prompting him to release her. The demon let out a sigh of relief——but before she could fall, the Vaxasaurian's spiked tail pierced her chest and hurled her into a wall, which shattered on impact."I'll check if she survives later," Albedo thought, taking mental notes on the experiment.
He turned his head toward the final demon, but not before shifting into his Supreme Sonorosian form. The demon watched in terror as the dinosaur-like being transformed into a small, floating, blue creature with red eyes—robotic in appearance. It floated toward her, then stopped. From its body, six discs detached and hovered around it.
"I-will-ask-you-once-so-pay-attention," said the computer-like voice. As if to emphasize the warning, three blue discs floated over to the only other demon still alive—the one missing an arm. The demon slowly rose, fury burning in his eyes.
"You!!! You little bastard!" the demon snarled at Albedo, who didn't even glance his way. Instead, the three blue discs spun around him, further enraging him. He believed Albedo was underestimating him. After all, he had taken a form that looked far weaker. Thinking the boy's Sacred Gear had limits, he grinned arrogantly and opened his mouth.
"Why don't you apologize, kid? I'll kill you quickly! I'm merciful. If you beg, maybe I won't torture you. What do you say?" he taunted with a grin.
But again, Albedo ignored him and addressed the other demon."Tell-me-what-species-you-belong-to."The one-armed demon's rage boiled over."BITCH!!! I'M TALKING TO YOU!!!"That irritated Albedo."Noisy," he muttered.
Immediately, the blue discs emitted a focused sonic wave.
To the demons, it was just a soft beep sound. The one-armed demon smiled, convinced his assumption was correct—the boy was weak. He charged forward, his remaining hand glowing with a poisonous magic circle, aiming to strike Albedo. The Sonorosian did not move.
Then it happened.
Pfffggtth — a burst of blood erupted from the demon's mouth. He dropped to his knees as blood seeped from his nails, eyes, and ears.
"A-concentrated-sonic-blast," the Sonorosian said, watching him fall."That-will-happen-if-you-don't-answer-my-questions," he warned, prompting the last demon to nod rapidly.
Time Skip
"So—angels—and—demons…" Albedo murmured to himself."I told you what you wanted, now let me go! Please—I won't tell anyone you're here! I swear—just let me go!" the demon begged, bowing with his forehead to the floor. The Sonorosian observed him."You've-been-useful—so—scram—now."The demon nodded and ran for the exit in panic.
Albedo watched him go, then snapped his fingers. The discs emitted another sonic blast, reducing the demon to a pool of blood.
He glanced around at the bodies scattered across the warehouse and scowled. Switching to Pyronite form, he incinerated the remains. Once the transformation wore off, he collapsed to the ground, covering his mouth as a stream of blood poured out.
Due to his unstable stabilizer, he had recovered a second too late this time, causing blood to leak from his mouth. Spitting to clear the metallic taste, Albedo brushed it off—it didn't concern him. He was too focused on sorting the information the demon had given him.
At first, he hadn't wanted to admit he was lost between dimensions, but now he had to. Everything made sense. The reason he couldn't contact any other aliens. The reason the Plumbers hadn't shown up—they didn't exist in this world.
Taking a seat, he began to formulate his next steps.
"First, I need to repair my stabilizer. This time it failed when recovering my tongue, but next time it could be something vital. Second, I need to find a way to contact Eon—he's the only one who can get me out of here. But the tech level of this world is so primitive, building what I need will be extremely difficult. If I can't manage it… I'll have to turn to magic. That demon said teleportation magic exists. I should start there."
Albedo stood up."Alright. It's decided. Nothing will stop me now!" said the Galvan with a spark of enthusiasm. That's when he heard the sound of sirens and saw red and blue lights flash."Damn it! You've got to be kidding me!"
Police Station
"Why did you do it?"A female officer asked calmly, facing the 11-year-old boy. She had a curvy figure and wore a uniform that made Albedo wonder how she could even move in such tight clothing—her shirt looked ready to pop a button and take someone's eye out."Look kid, I know living on the streets can be hard. That's why you have to come to us for help instead of stealing, okay?" she asked gently.
Albedo didn't respond. The woman sighed. She felt sorry for the kid—she had spent a good part of her childhood on the streets too, and knew how hard it could be. Standing by the door, she gave him a final glance."One of my superiors will come talk to you in a bit. Wait here," she said before exiting the room.
Albedo already had an idea why someone higher up wanted to talk to him."Tch. Annoying. If my stabilizer weren't malfunctioning, I wouldn't even be here," he thought, irritated.
The city of Kuoh was far from ordinary, and many people knew it—but none dared to say it out loud. After all, those who tried to expose the truth simply disappeared, and not even their families remembered them.
That's why a small group of people began to gather under the name of the "Fourth Faction." Over time, this group grew to include several hundred thousand members. Their goal: to protect humanity from the dangers that lurked in the world—not through magic or pacts, but through human ingenuity alone. In other words, through science, and science alone, they would face demons.
But no matter how much effort they poured into their research, they were unable to create weapons that could harm demons. Their ambitions were left unfulfilled—until very recently.
A young boy had been detained in a warehouse for robbing electronics and tech stores. When the police chief searched the warehouse in hopes of recovering stolen goods, he discovered strange artifacts unlike anything he had ever seen. And, like any curious human, he decided to test one. At that moment, a new hope sparked in the police chief's mind.
With the artifacts stowed in a bag, he quickly made his way to the interrogation room, where what could be humanity's salvation awaited...
"So you're the young man named Albedo?" the police chief asked.
"A pleasure. I'm Brian," introduced the man in his thirties.
Albedo didn't even look at him. "Just tell me what you want," he replied with clear annoyance.
Without delay, the man pulled the artifacts from the bag and laid them on the table.
"I know you're the one who made these. I saw the power one of them had with my own eyes," he said, pointing at a prototype stun device powered by Tadenite. Despite being made with this world's primitive technology, it functioned impressively—thanks mostly to the Tadenite that served as its power source.
"Are you interested?" Albedo asked, already sensing he could use this situation to his advantage.
The man looked at him seriously.
"Tell me, kid—have you ever seen anything... out of the ordinary? Monsters? Demons?"
