Inside the Jiangnan Pavilion compound, Wei Wen stood clad in full-grade SS combat gear issued by the Dojo of Limits. Hidden in his utility belt were sixteen meticulously balanced SS-rank throwing knives. His most vital piece of equipment, however, was the Black God Combat Suit—renowned for its near-impervious defense and energy-enhancing properties.
At the Planetary Level, Wei Wen had already surpassed the limits of what most warriors on Earth could achieve. He could now venture almost anywhere on the planet without fear.
Despite his strength and Luo Feng's occasional insights, Wei Wen had hit a wall. Progress had slowed. So, he made a decision: it was time to leave the comfort of routine behind and head into the unknown.
"A three-day break like this doesn't come often. You planning to go solo or form a squad?" Zhao Ruo asked, watching him with eyes full of awe.
Wei Wen merely shook his head. His objective was already set: Australia—more specifically, the place spoken of in whispers, Mist Island.
Now that he'd reached the Planetary Level, this short break was a perfect window. Even if he didn't find Mu Ya Crystals—legendary treasures capable of propelling a warrior beyond their current limits—he might still harvest the Essence of Flora, which could strengthen the body or help others cultivate.
For an expedition like this, fewer people meant less risk and more flexibility. He might bring Luo Feng if necessary, but no one else.
"Looks like Wei Wen's going solo," Shi Jiang said with a grin.
"Fighting in the Wilderness Zones is risky, sure," he continued, "but unless you're unlucky enough to cross a Lord-class beast, a Mental Force user like him doesn't have much to worry about."
"With Wei Wen's strength," Zhao Ruo muttered, slightly deflated, "we'd just hold him back."
Elite Training Camp wasn't lacking in talented Psykers—Mental Force users—but none had Wei Wen's sheer efficiency when it came to hunting monsters. The conclusion was simple: his Mental Force had to be at the level of a High-Tier Warlord, maybe even more.
At that strength, he was essentially an Unmatched Warlord—the pinnacle for humans who hadn't reached the Planetary Stage.
Of course, no one outside the Dojo of Limits knew he had already broken past that point. The rumors didn't bother him. As a Planetary-level Psyker backed by one of the Earth's two great martial arts halls, only someone like Thunder Godmight pose a threat—and even that was a stretch.
"If no one wants you, join my team," Shi Jiang joked. "I'll take you in."
"Hmph!" Zhao Ruo rolled her eyes.
Wei Wen took off, soaring through the sky on his alloy-forged mental shield, headed straight for Hongning Base City Airport. He'd already booked a flight to Australia.
Back at the camp, students stared in envy.
"When can we do that?" one muttered, watching Wei Wen fly effortlessly, arms behind his back.
"With our potential?" another scoffed. "We'd be lucky to reach Advanced Warlord, let alone surpass it."
"And look at the girls," a third grumbled. "Their eyes are glued to him like he's the last man on Earth."
Even among the elite, Wei Wen stood apart—his power, confidence, and presence making him something like a myth in real time.
On the training ground, a white-haired girl was called over.
"Candice, let's go!" her teammates called.
She gave one last glance in the direction Wei Wen had flown before turning back. "Coming."
Australia. Earth's Wild Frontier.
Unlike China, where the climate was shifting into early autumn, Australia was entering the tail end of winter. Cold winds swept across empty plains, but Wei Wen didn't flinch. His physical resilience surpassed that of an Advanced Warlord; subzero temperatures couldn't faze him.
Post-Great Nirvana, Australia had become one of Earth's most dangerous no-man's-lands. Alongside the Amazon and the Sahara, it was home to the fiercest, most concentrated monster zones in the world.
At 10 a.m., his plane landed at a remote airstrip—just outside monster territory.
"Mist Island… If I remember correctly from the original source, it's located in a lake nearly a hundred miles across," Wei Wen thought, recalling every detail from his prep work.
Back during his month of rest, he had pored over Australia's geographical data, comparing satellite maps, cross-referencing locations. The lake was easy to spot from the air. With his Psyker abilities, navigating wouldn't be a problem.
Besides, his Combat Smartwatch synced to orbital satellites for real-time navigation. He couldn't get lost even if he tried.
Mist Island was the target.
Once airborne, Wei Wen blurred into a streak of motion, his shield cutting through the sky. With Mental Force Amplification x16, even most Lord-class Monsters couldn't track, let alone match, his speed.
In under a minute, he could cover thirty kilometers with ease.
"Let's see… the Ape Monkey Range, where Luo Feng and Li Yao had that run-in—it should be around here. Mist Island should be nearby."
His internal compass locked in. Nothing on Earth's surface could slow a Planetary-level Psyker. Through forest, across plains, and above rivers, he streaked forward unimpeded.
Half an Hour Later.
Wei Wen came to a stop above a vast, mist-shrouded lake.
He hadn't even needed to fight. Most monsters didn't have time to react. A few might've noticed the sonic boom he left in his wake—but even a Lord-class monster wouldn't give chase without thinking twice.
And even if they did, they'd never catch him.
"Finally," he muttered, hovering over the water. "If this trip goes well, I might not need to stay at the training camp much longer."
Strength—that was his aim. Not for glory. Not for fame. Just power.
At this level, ordinary plant essences were useless to him. But Luo Feng could still benefit from them. And the real prize, the Mu Ya Crystal, was a game-changer.
Below him stretched a lake over a hundred miles wide. But unlike most lakes, this one was wrapped in thick, unnatural fog—dense enough to obscure even his advanced vision.
He pushed forward, and the mist grew heavier. Even with his enhanced sight, visibility dropped to under a kilometer.
"A lake this big… with mist this thick… and an island at its heart? This has to be it."
There it was, emerging through the fog.
Mist Island.
Wei Wen narrowed his eyes and began his descent.
Time to see what secrets it held.
