He flung both greatswords at the nearest giant rats without hesitation, cutting them both in half.
But what followed left him completely speechless and utterly horrified. Instead of just falling down like normal animals would after dying, the giant rats exploded.
The giant rats exploded, splattering bright yellow blood everywhere. Senzo was lucky he had thrown his swords because he still had time to quickly form a barrier in front of him by sealing the vectors.
"..."
But the two swords he had just thrown weren't so lucky, as they were completely dissolved in the pool of bright yellow blood, and worst of all, the other creatures in the room were completely unfazed by the explosion and the acidic blood that was covering them.
Senzo had to do his best to stop himself from throwing up as he gagged a couple of times at the horrifying sight in front of him.
But because of what had just happened, he was now certain that this was not just an easy dungeon. "Worst case scenario, huh..."
Without hesitation he formed tens of spears behind him, and with a single flick of his wrist he pierced one rat after the other while his vector abilities were used to squash all the spiders crawling toward him.
A couple of seconds passed like that, and at the end of the total massacre, there was nothing left of the room; the walls, floor, and ceiling had all completely melted away, and the only thing Senzo could see was a pitch-black hole that was unfathomably deep.
"This is not looking too good..." Senzo grumbled.
"How the fuck is anyone supposed to clear this?"
He couldn't understand it; luckily, he had basically the perfect skillset for situations like these, but if anyone else tried to clear this, it would've been a total disaster.
"Let's keep moving."
Carefully forming invisible platforms he could walk on, Senzo made his way through the now pitch-black void that was once a room, hoping this nightmare would be over soon.
"Please, just give me normal monsters to fight next time..." he mused while carefully making his way to the other side of the 'room.'
When he finally saw a normal floor again, he heaved a sigh of relief and stepped on it to inspect his surroundings.
"It's literally the same as before... a straight hallway that looks taken straight out of a horror movie."
He formed two more greatswords in his hands and, just like before, started making his way through it once again.
"Please, normal monsters, please, I'm not asking for too much, right?"
While he was talking to himself and walking through the hall at a normal pace to make sure he could react to anything this dungeon could throw at him, he suddenly heard the walls creak.
Stopping dead in his tracks, he tightly grasped the two greatswords, ready to swing at anything that could appear.
Clang!
Out of nowhere a pitch-black, needle-like arm suddenly shot out of his shadow, aiming straight for his heart, but Senzo was prepared, and by erasing his body weight, he moved with such speed that he could easily parry it.
But cold sweat was dripping down his forehead; that was insanely dangerous. If he had been even a moment slower, he would've been gravely injured, if not killed.
What the hell is that?
He had no idea, but now was not the time to hold back and care about his surroundings. Without hesitation, he blew up the whole hallway and deployed his spectral legion, stationing them on the makeshift floor he'd created using his vector authority.
A massive spectral banner appeared next to him, and from it hundreds of spectral warriors appeared; some were holding swords and shields, while others held halberds or spears.
But they all had one thing in common: they didn't look like normal humans, but instead they looked like yellow ghosts—translucent with a yellow border outlining their forms.
Damn, that's dope.
But Senzo didn't let his guard down; even though he had blown away the whole hallway, he still couldn't sense the thing that had targeted him.
"Find the thing that attacked me and kill it!" Senzo ordered, using everything at his disposal to quickly take care of it.
If there were multiple like it, it could become really dangerous quickly, so he had to root this one out ASAP.
"Understood!" The spectral army echoed, and they got into multiple formations immediately.
A small elite unit holding daggers surrounded Senzo immediately, and around them, sword-and-shield warriors formed a second defensive ring to ensure their master's safety.
The others spread out, swinging their weapons and firing beams of colorful energy.
I'll have to ask them what those energies they're using are later.
Quickly making a mental note, Senzo was now also on full alert, hoping that thing would be found quickly.
But seconds quickly turned into minutes as not a single trace of the thing they were looking for could be found; Senzo was quickly losing his patience.
I have to do something and fast; I can't be getting stalled all day like this! Ah, I could try that.
Then an idea suddenly hit him, and with a smirk, he snapped his fingers, and the whole landscape changed from a void filled with yellowish ghosts to the dilapidated hallway where only Senzo was walking around, not even holding any weapons.
And in that instant the black, needle-like thing shot out of his shadow once more, cleanly piercing through Senzo's chest.
"Guh!"
A small pitch-black humanoid creature jumped out of the bleeding Senzo's shadow with a creepy grin on its face and started cutting pieces of his flesh out and eating it gleefully.
Its arms looked more like deadly needles, and its body wasn't even half as tall as Senzo's, but it was so fast and hard to detect that Senzo felt cold sweat run over his whole body watching the scene of his fake body being devoured by such a monster.
Then with a single wave of his arm, the monster was easily beheaded, and the massive illusion Senzo had formed was dispersed.
"What the fuck is this dungeon!?" he exclaimed, and without any of his orders, the spectral soldiers knew what they had to do as they quickly approached the dead creature and picked it up.
Luckily it looks like beheading actually kills it, as its body was completely lifeless, and even after being picked up, it didn't try anything.
