"We will talk about this when I return home, kids," I said, after so much contemplation. "John, drop me off at The Smith Company."
Lena touched my wrist. "Do you promise, mum?" She asked.
"Yes, I promise," I said, forcing a smile on my lips.
"Yay," Lena said, smiling softly.
"Does that mean we will get united with our dad, today?" Luke inquired.
I took a deep breath and nodded.
"Thanks, mom. I love you so much," Luke said, hugging me.
I smiled, patting his back gently. "I love you, too. I love both of you."
The car pulled up at Smith Company.
I got out of the car. "Aunt Sarah, please take care of the kids. I'll send my driver to pick them up, later today," I said, waving at the kids.
They waved back at me. "Bye, mom," they said in unison.
